From the chef to the estate to the farm. I felt like a world class expereince. I came here on a solo trip to get inspirations on my writing. A transport will pick you up from town to the villa. When you arrived there. The chef already prepared 2 sack of rice grains. You sat there wondering what is the menu. Once all the participants arrived she passed us the menu we are learning to cook. I opt for the fish instead of read meat. My menu consist of main dish, salad and a dessert. I was excited. I informed the chef that my diet is muslim diet. I told her I dont mind using the plate just need to layer with banana leaf. They were so kind to give me all new utensils , pots and pans so I can enjoy my food. General solo lady travellers is not a problem here. The men here are gentlemen and kind, the drunk tourist and tourist here you need to avoid as the alcohol is cheap so avoid late nite at the bars so many rowdy tourist. Back to the cooking class. She bring us around the village to teach about local ingredients. We exhange ingredients we needed from the villages with the 2 sack of rice from the kitchen. I love the fact that this villa is surrounded with kampong people and village houses. It felt so authentic....Especially if you are broken hearted it is a perfect place for healing too.
