One of the most beautiful universities in Singapore, Nanyang Technological University
Singapore trip to Nanyang Technological University
Today we visited Nanyang Technological University, ranked 15th in the QS rankings~
We took the MRT to Pioneer Station Exit B, then took bus 179 and got off after 7 stops.
!Tourists can also take the Nanyang Technological University shuttle bus into the campus!
We navigated to the hive and checked in at the unique building 'Dim Sum Basket' (Picture 2). The tropical climate and its design complement each other perfectly, truly deserving of being a landmark of Nanyang Technological University.
Walking down the road, we saw the Chinese Heritage Centre (Picture 3). The exterior was under renovation, so we didn't go inside and continued walking~
Opposite the Chinese Heritage Centre is the Business School (Picture 4). The wooden structure is beautiful and grand, and many students were studying in the self-study room in the lobby on the first floor. It's also a great place for photos!
Walking down from the Business School, we reached Yunnan Garden (Pictures 7, 8). We took a round and went up the stairs, reaching Nanyang Lake (Pictures 9, 10). We tried to find some small animals but only saw a fat black fish.
These iconic buildings are not far from each other, so we recommend taking a slow stroll around here.
Next, we navigated to Booklink. To be honest, the architecture and scenery of Nanyang Technological University are really beautiful, and any random shot can be very photogenic. However, the cultural and creative products seem to be lagging behind. Hopefully, more unique cultural and creative products can be created.

I hope everyone who goes to Singapore can see this post.
For sisters who are going to Singapore for the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day,
Don't know how to play?
This latest Singapore nanny-level strategy
Save it and don't take a detour 😘

🚗 My itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at Singapore Airport ✈️, check in 🏨
In the evening, visit Merlion Park ⛲- Clarke Quay - Old Hill Street Police Station 👮🏻♀️
These three places are not far apart, with many attractions
It is recommended to stay in this area, which is very convenient to get around
The durian ice cream grandpa is at Clarke Quay
There are food streets near Merlion and Clarke Quay
The area near Merlion is more expensive
Day 2: Fort Canning Park - National Museum - Sands SkyPark Observation Deck - Marina Bay - Skytree Light Show
Go to Fort Canning in the morning
Hidden Little Bali, with several niche museums
There is even a spice museum
The hottest photo spot is here (queue for half an hour during peak hours)
From Fort Canning Park directly to the National Museum
Note ⚠️ Only visit the permanent exhibition, the temporary exhibition is not very valuable
The focus of the visit is World War II, Lee Kuan Yew's nation-building, and relations with Malaysia
Some of the permanent exhibitions are by Teamlab
No need to visit the ArtScience Museum
Go to Sands for a rooftop view 😎
It's really beautiful at night, but you need to make an appointment in advance
I left the night to the Marina Bay Skytree Light Show
So see Sands rooftop during the day and light show at night 🐦🔥
There are three projects in Marina Bay
I think the best option is to play the Mist Forest in the evening
You can connect to the 19:45 light show, which is great 👍🏻
Day 3: Singapore Bird Park 🐦/ River Safari 🐼/ Zoo 🦓 Choose one or two - Singapore Night Safari
Singapore has four zoos, all of which are world-class 👍🏻
I've been to all four twice
The bird park is a bit far from the other three
If you want to visit two or three on the same day
Play Bird Paradise in the morning (birds are more active in the morning)
Then go to River Safari or Zoo in the afternoon
Visit Night Safari at night
Day 4: Singapore Universal Studios/Water World Choose one - Luge Racing
Leave a full day for Sentosa
You can go to Universal Studios 🎢
You have to buy a fast pass on holidays, otherwise the queue will be unbearable 😭
Water World is also worth playing 🏊🏻♂️
Universal closes at 18:30
Water World closes at 17:00
At this time, go to Luge for skyway racing
It's not so hot, hey! Just right~
Day 5: Kampong Glam - Haji Lane - Little India - Singapore Airport ✈️ Departure
Go to Chinatown/Nanyang Technological University in the morning
Or you can go to Haji Lane for photo spots
Experience South Asian style in Little India
Security is still good, not a slum
Singapore's Indian people have become localized
The banana leaf curry fish head here is the origin of banana leaf all over the world
You can try it if you like Indian food
Remember to go to the airport early
Because Changi Airport is really good for shopping
Nanyang tea, pork jerky, pandan cake, bak kut teh seasoning...
lv, 🍎 store, niche bags, comparable to shopping city!
🥰 Welcome to ask me more questions about Singapore travel~

Lesser-known check-in spots in Singapore, each one is very photogenic!
I shared some traditional Singapore tour routes a few days ago, today let's go for some lesser-known and photogenic places~
📍Red Dot Design Museum Singapore
Located in the center of Singapore, the museum is not big, but it's filled with high-end designs. You can understand cutting-edge ideas from an artistic perspective, and also understand the new world from a technological perspective. It's a great resting spot (even better for sheltering from the rain), but you need to buy a ticket~
📍Candylicious
After visiting the S.E.A Aquarium in Sentosa, you will see this candy house while strolling down the commercial street. The large store is filled with brightly colored candies, and you can't help but feel happy as soon as you enter. It's also very photogenic, and you can take away some cute souvenirs when you leave~
📍Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
This place is relatively far, almost to Malaysia, but it's worth to come and feel the temperament of Singapore's high-end institutions. The architectural design of the entire campus is also worth exploring, from the teaching buildings to the flower gardens and green plants, the design is very ingenious.
Finally, when you come to Singapore, you must check in at their Universal Studios. As you know, each Universal has its own characteristics, and Singapore can let you feel the full tropical style.

Serene Yunnan Garden NTU
#wecreate
Yunnan Garden, nestled within the National Technological University (NTU) campus in Singapore, is a picturesque and serene haven that captivates visitors with its natural beauty and cultural significance. The garden's design is inspired by the traditional Chinese landscape painting, characterized by carefully arranged natural elements such as rocks, water, plants, and pavilions. As visitors enter the garden, they are greeted by the gentle sound of water flowing through streams and ponds, creating a calming atmosphere that instantly relaxes the mind and soothes the soul.

World Class Campus in Tiny Red Dot
The Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is a national research university in Singapore. It is usually ranked amongst the world's top 20 institutions of higher learning. NTU is ranked 19th in the world according to the 2023 QS World University Rankings, and has also been ranked 1st globally amongst young universities by the QS World University Rankings since 2015.
Really nice campus that is made for the elites.

Bee hive for humans?
I visited NTU's HIVE today, a bustling academic building for students to take part in classes, study, interact and even grab a bite at their cafe.
With 8 stories of real estate, this uniquely designed building can house over 40 classes at one time and being able to take in the environment of hustling students can be quite inspiring
If you are ever in the area of NTU, or am an alummi, do drop by to check out this amazing building

Yunnan Garden at NTU
Address: 12 Nanyang Dr, Singapore 637721
Highlights:
This is definitely one of the underrated parks in Singapore. It is located at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) campus. Such a scenic heritage park, beautifully landscaped with a lake and gardens, waterfall, themed trails, heritage monuments, pavilions, and a playground for kids. It features a diversity of flora and fauna.
The Yunnan Garden was rejuvenated recently. You may see from the information kiosk for its transformation journey. I feel that the students and lecturers who stay there are so lucky.
I truly appreciate the variety found in this park. It would be best if there was a toilet nearby. Limited parking spot. If driving in, park your car in front of Hall of Residence 4.

Rejuvenated scenic Yunnan Garden at NTU
Nanyang Technological University’s Yunnan Garden has been rejuvenated from a simple park to a picturesque park with sprawling lush greenery and waterscapes. The Nanyang Lake, which was previously a lake by itself, was expanded for the Yunnan Garden to have waterscapes. I enjoy looking at the waterfall and fishes swimming in the pond.
You can choose to take a photo of the historical Nanyang arch that vehicles will pass through to reach Nanyang University in the past. 🍂
I would say there were hardly any visitors or students who chose to take a walk at Yunnan Garden before this. After the transformation, it has turned into a beautiful park for the students to take a relaxing walk after their tutorials or lectures and also for the public to visit. 🍃
How to get there - Take bus 179 from Pioneer MRT or Boon Lay Bus Interchange

Curving rooftop lawn like Teletubbies home
Nanyang Technological University’s School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) has an unusual curved green roof, a cascading pond. The highlight of the building is the ver- dant roof which weaves in and out of the ground.
The side of the facade are make of glass which feels like a glass curtain wall coupled with off-form concrete walls for a natural finish.
From far the building reminds me of the teletubbies house!! While my photo can’t capture it, you can definitely see the landscape with your eyes when you are there.
The curving green roofs distinguish the building from among the other structures on campus (normal looking buildings).
The top of the building can be access by stairs on the exterior of the building.

Don't miss a stroll at Nanyang Technological University when you visit Singapore! * o Besides its great environment, top-notch education, and urban vibe, Singapore is renowned worldwide. If you're planning a trip to Singapore, make sure to explore Nanyang Technological University's campus. It's among the top 50 universities globally, producing top talents in mathematics. Notable Singaporean singer Stefanie Sun is an alum too! The university campus seamlessly blends with the city, symbolizing inclusivity and harmony. The must-see buildings at Nanyang Technological University, like the "Xiaolongbao" masterpieces by famous designers, showcase environmental protection and sustainable development. On sunny days, the buildings look even more stunning. Take the elevator to the top floor, gaze down at the ground floor, and appreciate the architectural, spatial, and harmonious beauty! You'll also be captivated by the serene academic atmosphere in practice rooms and club meeting spaces.

But in Singapore for seven days, 20000 steps a day, but this day is really the most violent day in Singapore Because it is a graduation inspection organized by the school, most of the time and activities used are academic inspections, which is really a feast for the eyes. What's important is that we probably won't have the opportunity to read these buildings when we travel on our own, so we are very happy and lucky to have this opportunity. 1 At noon in the morning, at the Nanyang Technological University and the Interlace Building, the means of transportation: team pack bus+hardworking feet, visit: Heatherwick Studio, a learning center of Yunnan Yuanyi College of Arts, Design and Media, is the "Xiaolongbao" in Figure 1. After the beauty of the canteen, we set off for The Interlace, and came in a dramatic way!!! Because it is a community of individuals. Although there is a pre agreement, as long as we can't bear it, there are too many of us. First of all, let's talk about Nanyang University of Technology. After a brief exchange with ADM professors, we started from being politely asked to leave

Nanyang Technological University | Three things to know before visiting the campus.
🚌🚌🚌1. How to take the free shuttle bus at Nanyang Technological University?
There are two types of free shuttle buses at Nanyang Technological University. One is the campus route, and the other is from the subway station outside the campus to the campus.
1) Take Line 2 to Pioneer Station. The subway station is small. After exiting the station, turn right and go downstairs to see the bus stop sign.
2) There is a sign here that says NTU shuttle service, where you can queue up for the free shuttle bus. If you don't want to wait for the shuttle bus, you can also take bus 179.
3) The free shuttle bus has three stops. I got off at the first stop and navigated directly to the Hive, the iconic building of Nanyang Technological University, the dim sum basket. It is only a 10-minute walk away, and you will pass by Yunnan Garden, which is not big and has a monument to the founding of the school.
🍝🍲🍲2. How to eat in the canteen at Nanyang Technological University?
There are several dining spots on campus. Walk 2 minutes up from the dim sum basket, and there is a canteen on the left.
Closed on Sundays❌🈲, so if you want to visit the school and eat on campus, avoid Sundays.
🩷❤🧡3. Which of the two universities in Singapore, National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, should I choose?
Adults make choices, not all of them, after all, it is not a school inspection for the purpose of research.
Before going, I was also a little entangled in which university to attend.
The National University of Singapore has the highest ranking, and Nanyang Technological University also has reasons to go. After weighing it, I still chose Nanyang Technological University.
1) Reason 1: The iconic building of the university, the dim sum basket.
Architectural aesthetics are really displayed in the university, which is simply a place for campus youth films. The gray indigenous architectural structure and the external garden view.
2) Reason 2: Nanyang Technological University is Stefanie Sun's alma mater.
There is always a song in the playlist of the post-80s that belongs to Stefanie Sun, and the album "Cloudy Day" is still kept at home.
PS: Nanyang Technological University ranked 15th in the world university rankings released by the international education market consulting company on June 5, 2025, second only to Peking University. PS: National University of Singapore ranks 8th, ranking first in Asia.

I was persuaded to come to Singapore Xiaolongbao Building, which is so beautiful that I can't speak! At a glance, the heart beats in Nanyang Technological University, known as one of the world's most beautiful campuses, where a world-class avant-garde building is hidden. It's simply too beautiful! C, The Hive, which is enclosed in a small cage, was completed in 2015. Its architectural function is to provide a space for teachers and students to learn and communicate. The design inspiration comes from the steaming paskets in Chinese tea houses, stacked together and designed with twelve cylindrical elements. The dead door without a main entrance allows access to the atrium from two directions. The atrium design not only connects the space, but also can cope with Singapore's year-round high temperature and humidity. The building represents a circular classroom with no pbvious front or back, embracing every corner openly, breaking the traditional rigid and serious style

Attention! The floors here are a bit special, with B5 on the ground and 3F on the top floor. Let the model stand on B5 and shoot from a high-rise building in the center of the courtyard. From bottom to top, you can capture the symmetrical beauty of the building with a wide-angle lens. The medium telephoto lens captures the local beauty of the building while standing below the high-rise building. Standing in the middle floor for a flat shot, there are different visual compositions. If you have the conditions, you can use a drone to take aerial photos one by one. This is originally a range of activities for teachers and students. Please keep quiet when visiting. Q check-in tips: When taking photos, pay attention to the visual impact and surround the seats in the foreground so as not to disturb others! The sentence is:!. Transportation: Take the subway to Pioneer Station, then transfer to a bus to the campus.

In addition, there are many other places worth visiting at the university, such as Yunnan Garden, which is the site of the predecessor of Nanyang University. There is a landmark archway where you can take photos. The Chinese Heritage Centre is also good. Known colloquially as the "Dim Sum Basket Building" due to its unique appearance, The Hive redefines traditional educational spaces with its innovative design and focus on collaborative learning.
Striking Design and Sustainable Features
The Hive's distinctive round, honeycomb-like structure is not only visually striking but also functionally innovative. Comprising twelve towers, each with round, terraced pod-like spaces, the building encourages a more collaborative and interactive form of learning, moving away from conventional classroom setups. The design promotes natural ventilation and maximizes the use of natural light, which not only reduces energy costs but also creates a more comfortable and engaging environment for students and faculty.

The absence of traditional classrooms and lecture halls encourages students to interact more freely and work together, fostering a community of learning and innovation.
Accessibility and Campus Integration

This is one of the best-rated universities in the world. It’s a technical university It is a monument to Singapore who have developed two great universities.
The campus is located on the outskirts of Singapore (about 5 km from Malaysia) and is great. We visited the College of Arts and Designs. They have a great dining hall and public transport. Getting a taxi is annoying here.
Beautiful campus in general. Well-designed and modern - with many places to eat great food. Nature is always on campus and the bus system works well for your wandering around. The commercial building is especially beautiful with chrome and all the water/plan work included in the design.
There are many shuttle buses on campus and to/from Pioneer metro station. However, sloping cliffs can be tiring to walk through.
A great place, a very beautiful architectural masterpiece on this planet
I High recommend visiting this university if you are in Singapore.

#Singapore attractions If in Thailand, Chiang Mai University is another place that is popular with tourists. But if in Singapore, it must be Nanyang Technological University. Let me tell you that it is very popular with Thai tourists now. Since Bomiko is traveling to Singapore, how can we miss it? And the reason we have to go to this university is because of The Hive (Learning Hub South - LHS) building, another building in Nanyang Technological University. Let me tell you that the building has a very outstanding design. The Hive, NTU This building is jokingly called the 'Dim Sum Tray' building. Just imagine a dim sum tray made of woven wood, stacked on top of each other. And most importantly, this building has also received an award for its design. #Beautiful building

Nighttime bustle in vibrant Little India.
1. The bustling Little India at night.
On the first day, I went to Little India and had very authentic Indian cuisine with colleagues who were working together.
Looking back at the photos, I realized that I ate so much, especially those two Indian desserts, which were simply calorie bombs. Although they were too sweet, they were still so delicious that I had in India.
After eating, I walked with Vasanth on the street for a long time, chatting about the customs and culture of India.
During the festival, the highly distinctive Indian lanterns are generously displaying their charm. It feels like being back in the lively atmosphere of the Chinese New Year, with beautiful lanterns, dazzling fireworks, smiling faces all around, a little me, and my still young parents, but unfortunately, it's been a long time ago.
Unlike the more representative Chinese red and gold in Chinatown, the neon lights in Little India seem more colorful and dazzling, like a competition of flowers that overwhelms the eyes. The already colorful buildings and decorations become even more vibrant under the light, and watching this visual feast, one feels as if they have experienced a color explosion, with thousands of color blocks dancing in this monotonous world, until they fall into the depths of the heart.
Although it's already past nine o'clock, Little India Archway Street doesn't feel sleepy at all. On the contrary, it seems to be saying, "Our happy time has just begun."
The place to buy cold drinks is lined up with a long queue, the place to draw Haina is surrounded and crowded, and there are people who come to buy flower wreaths to prepare for the holiday. Every person has a smile on their face, as if there have been no difficulties or pains in their lives. This is completely different from Japan, where there are only tired faces on the tram, listless people on the streets, and people with flushed faces only under the influence of alcohol...
Vasanth said that many people from India come here to relax in the evening, even if it's just for a walk. And most of them stay until late, usually until 11 o'clock, and it's always crowded here.
Looking back at the endless stream of people, and their relaxed and happy expressions, suddenly it seems like I understand why they would want to come here.
2. Sri Srinivasaperumal Temple
Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple is a large Hindu temple in Singapore, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The tower in front of the temple is about 20 meters high and displays different incarnations of Lord Vishnu.
Shrouded in the night, yet still dazzlingly colorful, still full of lively creatures and myriad forms, still tempting, making people unable to resist walking in.
On the outside, the upper building looks like a cone, with angular layers stacked on top of each other until they form a sharp point. But once inside, you'll find that the upper building looks different from the outer one, with a gorgeous and flat ceiling, intricate and repetitive patterns. Looking up, it feels like falling into the starry sky, surrounded by all sorts of wonders.
Luckily, we caught the ceremony of closing the temple at night, and as the melodious music played, a sense of reverence arose.
🕐Everyday 5:30 am - 9:30 pm
3. Vilamakariram Temple
Located in the heart of Little India, Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple is one of the oldest Hindu temples in Singapore. From afar, you can see the magnificent entrance of the temple, which seems to have a magical power that draws you straight to its front.
Typical South Indian style decoration, with bold and colorful displays of various deities. The most interesting feature is the string of small bells hanging on the temple's entrance. Take off your shoes outside the temple, gently ring the bells, and silently pray in your heart: "God, I have come, please bring me happiness."
This magnificent temple was built in 1855 and is dedicated to the goddess Kali, the wife of Lord Shiva. Kali is revered as the goddess of power, and it would be great to become an equally powerful woman.
After searching around, amidst the dazzling array of statues, I still couldn't figure out which one it was.
Not sure if this is the one, the beautiful shape is somewhat similar, but the guessed location where it sits probably isn't it.
Watching the faint candlelight swaying gently in the breeze, the faces of people holding hope that I just saw appeared in my mind. Suddenly, I thought of a sentence from Elias Canetti, vaguely understanding why he felt that there must be sparks shining in the eyes of those who are in pain, and that those sparks must contain hope. If those sparks go out, he probably wouldn't be able to persevere in the darkness.
🕐Everyday 5:30 am - 9:30 pm
4. Adugaf Mosque
Adul Kafee Mosque is a mosque in Singapore located on Dunlop Street in Little India, near Jalan Besar. It is hidden in a small alley and took some effort to find.
Due to the change in color, the Adudu Kafu Mosque looked completely different from the pictures online, and I even doubted if I had gone to the wrong place. It wasn't until I saw the sign at the entrance and carefully compared its arches and iconic star and moon pattern that I confirmed it was indeed the right place.
Unfortunately, the church was not open, so I could only take a distant look outside the fence.
The streets outside the church are full of restaurants, shopping malls, massage parlors, etc. Lovely murals appear in the corners without surprise. Since you're here, take a stroll first.
5. Chen Dongling's Former Residence
The House of Tan Teng Niah is a villa built by a wealthy Chinese businessman named Tan Teng Niah for his wife in Little India, Singapore in 1900. The villa was originally white, but later painted in colorful colors. Among the colorful Indian buildings, it still stands out like a rainbow, attracting many tourists to stop and take photos.
Although it is indescribable in style on Little India's commercial street, it may be precisely because of this that it can tightly attract the attention of pedestrians. Looking at it from a different perspective, one cannot help but admire Singapore's excellent work in ethnic integration.
6. Tekka Centre, Zhujiao Centre.
Tekka Centre is a multifunctional building complex consisting of a wet market, a food centre, and shops. It is located at the junction of Bukit Timah Road and Serangoon Road in Little India, adjacent to the Little India MRT station.
I also stumbled upon it while wandering around, so I went in to take a look and see what the daily life of Indian people in Singapore is like.
I didn't go to the daily necessities area upstairs because I was most interested in food, haha. The market is very large, with a wide range of products, and it feels similar to the vegetable markets in China. Customers can choose their favorite vegetables and fruits, and even bargain with the vendors. The vendors will also clean the fish and cut the meat into small pieces upon request. Walking around, there is a warm and friendly feeling everywhere.
Looking at the dazzling array of goods in the shops, there is an indescribable urge to buy, buy, buy. But considering the full day ahead, I resisted the temptation and only bought a few large mangoes before leaving reluctantly. To be honest, the large mangoes were quite heavy.

Location : NTU Hall 9 Canteen
Taste: 4.5/5
Price : 5/5
Very good longtong hidden in NTU Hall 9 Canteen. The serving is generous and it's value for money at $3. Dish comes with rice cakes, lots of vege and an egg. Longtong gravy is fantastic.
A hidden gem indeed. If you are residing in the west, this is a good place to have a meal during holidays and weekend when it's quiet.#ntu#food

The Hive|Nanyang Technological University
📍 52 Nanyang Ave, 639816
NTU is one of the greatest universities in Asia. Located at the edge of the country. Some said if you stand high in the campus, you could see Malaysia. 🤣
The most famous, most representative attraction in the campus is definitely the Hive, which is also called “Xiao Long Bao” by Chinese students, as it looks just like several Xiao Long Bao.
It’s actually a library.📖 There’re desks and lots of meeting rooms inside. Also there is a coffee store on B1 Floor. Though it’s still impacted by Covid – 19, lots of students are actually having online, but there’re still many students in the Hive. Reading books, having meetings, taking lessons, talking to each other, doing some assignments.
There was also a gift shop on the B1 floor. 🎁There were some NTU t-shirts, hoodies, bags, caps, and many other NTU gifts in the shop. Students would get a discount. Please note it’s definitely not opened on public holiday or weekends.
🚌To reach the Hive, you could take 179 and get off at Yunnan Garden station, or take campus loop, both red line and blue line at innovation center.
