Nanwu Temple, the Tibetan name Namu Temple, is located 2.5 kilometers south of Kangding City. It is one of the famous temples in Kangding District. It is known as the "Double Temple Cloud Forest" with the adjacent King Kong Temple, and it is one of the ancient scenic spots in Kangding. In the 11th century AD, it was built in the present Paoma Mountain during the Northern Song Dynasty. It was originally a Red Sect. It was destroyed in the war in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. Later, it was rebuilt at the site of "Zhujuegang". Tso presented paintings of Buddha statues such as Master Tsongkhapa, Dawei King Kong, Jixiang Tianmu, etc., and named "Xia Deng Bamboo Pillar Forest" as the Langjia Window Branch Temple of the Potala Palace, and the Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty gave a plaque "Nanwu Temple" in the royal book. Nanwu Temple covers an area of 2524 square meters and a building area of 3851 square meters. The architecture of the temple is in the style of double eaves and Xieshan, with open arches and flying eaves, and Tibetan-style paintings of pavilions and halls. It is majestic and magnificent. Nanwu Temple has produced famous monks, including 3 Khenpo and 14 Geshes. The 8th Panchen Lama donated his robes to the monastery. The temple is full of incense all year round, believers and tourists flock in an endless stream, and many foreign friends and compatriots from Hong Kong and Macao come here for sightseeing every year.
