There's more to Monkey Island than just monkeys.
As you step onto this mysterious land, the first thing you'll see is the endless coastline. The blue sea and sky reflect each other, creating a beautiful painting. On the beach, the soft sand gently rubs against your feet. The waves gently lap against the shore, bringing a refreshing sea breeze that makes you feel relaxed and happy.
In addition to the beach, Nanwan Monkey Island is also rich in vegetation. The island is covered with green trees, and various tropical plants grow competitively, adding endless vitality to this land. Walking on the forest path, you can feel the breath of nature, hear the birds singing, and feel like you are in a paradise.
When the sun sets, Nanwan Monkey Island shows its unique charm. The afterglow of the setting sun is sprinkled on the sea, shining golden, as if the whole world is dyed with golden light. At this time, sitting by the sea, quietly enjoying the beautiful sunset, you will feel an indescribable tranquility and peace.

Hainan is a must-visit vacation spot that you will regret missing out on for a lifetime (especially suitable for bringing children!)
Lingshui is a large place. We traveled all the way from Sanya, experiencing the crowded crowds on Wuzhizhou Island, visiting the Yanoda Tropical Rainforest, and also going to the Freedom Lighthouse in Clearwater Bay—the filming location of the movie 'Lost Her'. Finally, our family chose to settle in Xincun Town, Lingshui, a relatively unknown small town. The prices here are not as expensive as in Sanya. Not only is the food affordable, but the accommodation is also reasonably priced. The key is that the people are very friendly!!!
We are very particular about accommodation; it must be clean and hygienic, especially since we are traveling with children. Initially, we planned to stay in a chain hotel, but we happened to pass by Xiaozhu Yicheng Inn. The front desk provided smiling service throughout, and the owner interacted with the children. After seeing the room, we decisively chose to stay here. They even provided free tools for catching crabs. Our child enjoyed it so much that we stayed for three days, playing by the sea every day, and in the end, he didn't want to leave~ This small town is not big, and the accommodation is in the town center, making it convenient to go anywhere. Our family also took the child to the Monkey Island Scenic Area. The owner said that we could see monkeys without taking the cable car. We first took the boat as the owner suggested and found a few monkeys, but the child insisted on taking the sightseeing cable car. So, we took the cable car into the scenic area. Overlooking the entire bay from the cable car was indeed beautiful, so much so that we forgot to take pictures! The sand is very fine and soft, and the clear blue water is crystal clear, simply a dreamlike sea of love!!
There is also the R&F Ocean World nearby, which is said to be very suitable for taking children to play. Actions speak louder than words; we are ready to set off and give it a try!

Bring your family for a fun and delicious experience at the Lingshui Nanwan Ecological and Cultural Tourism Area
It takes less than 20 minutes to drive or take a taxi from Lingshui Qingshui Bay to Xincun Pier (it is better to take a taxi during the peak holiday season, so you don't have to look for parking or pay at least 30 yuan for parking fees). From here, you can take a public ferry to the Nanwan Monkey Island Ecological and Cultural Tourism Area, a paid scenic spot. Nanwan Monkey Island is famous for its unique 29 groups of macaques and a population of over 2000 monkeys.
Nanwan Monkey Island is not actually a complete island, but a peninsula that extends into the sea and curves back close to the pier. Daidai Island and Monkey Island are actually connected; Daidai Island is a small part of the southwestern coastal area of Monkey Island, where the original ecological environment is better, the air is fresher, and from the highest point of Lovers' Cliff, you can overlook the soft sandy half-moon-shaped bay and the sea's rocky reefs.
🔑Suggested activities:
1⃣First, take the cable car to Monkey Island to watch the monkeys🐵, experience the macaque welcoming guard, macaque acrobatics, flying monkeys climbing trees, and Monkey King Fort, etc.
Then take the cable car down the mountain for a Danjia fish raft lunch, experience the unique Danjia dining culture, and visit the Danjia's living environment by the water.
After afternoon tea, take the scenic area's eco-friendly sightseeing bus to Daidai Island to enjoy the waves, relax in the breeze, and check in at popular spots like the pink minibus, white vintage car swing, bubble house, etc. The colors are quite photogenic, and it's even better with beauties!
2⃣If you go to the scenic area in the afternoon and don't want to watch monkeys on Monkey Island (there are also a few monkeys in the Daidai Island area), you can take the public ferry directly to the island from the pier, then transfer to the scenic area's eco-friendly bus at the right side of the pier for a 10-minute ride to the beach entrance. You can stroll on the boardwalk, listen to the rustling of the coconut groves, and watch the blue sea and waves roll over the fine sand. From the sea-viewing platform, gaze at the Glass Pearl Sea and make eternal vows of love with your partner. You can think about anything or nothing at all... It is recommended to experience this for 3-4 hours.
⏱️Opening hours: 8:00-18:00
🚌Public transportation: Bus 69/Lingji 1 line can take you directly to Xincun Monkey Island Station, then you can walk to the pier. (If departing from Sanya, you can take the Intercity 2 line to Xincun Monkey Island)
❤️Warm tips:
Use your ID card to buy tickets. Monkey Island and Daidai Island have separate ticket sales, but you can also buy a combo ticket, available both on-site and online. Buy your tickets honestly; don't fantasize about trying to walk to Daidai Island after taking a 2 yuan ferry to the island, it's quite far. The 90 yuan ticket for Daidai Island for ordinary adults is actually for the eco-friendly bus. Previously, there was no ticket required, and fishermen's boats could go there. But those free days are gone, unless you are a local fisherman Danjia.
On sunny days, the sunlight is very strong, so remember to apply high SPF sunscreen every 2 hours, wear sunglasses, and bring a sun umbrella, otherwise your family and friends might not recognize you when you get home
If you're going on your own, it's best to avoid travel agency groups or peak holiday seasons, because no matter how early you line up, the travel groups will enter first. Moreover, during the peak holiday season, there are not enough eco-friendly buses in the scenic area, so why spend most of your time waiting in line for a bus.
