Nanshe Village is located in Chashan Town, Dongguan. It was built in the Southern Song Dynasty and has a history of more than 800 years. The architecture of Nanshe Village has distinct Cantonese cultural characteristics, strong Lingnan style and Pearl River Delta water town characteristics. It is one of the relatively well-preserved ancient buildings in Ming and Qing Dynasties in my country. The existing Ming and Qing ancient buildings are among the best preserved in the Pearl River Delta. The village is connected by the "Seven Ponds and Four Rivers" water system. There are more than 30 ancestral halls and more than 250 blue brick houses on both sides of the granite alleys. The gray plastic Bogu ridge of the Xie Family Ancestral Hall and the Ming Dynasty red sandstone archway of the Baisuifang are particularly exquisite. The reflection of the pond under the shade of the ancient banyan tree is a hot spot for photography, and it is easier to take pictures in the early morning or after rain when there are fewer tourists. Living inheritance is a feature: the incense hall can experience the production of Wanxiang, and the Chashan Doll Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop provides a painting experience. The Chashan Supply and Marketing Cooperative in the village has been transformed into a nostalgic restaurant. It is recommended to try local dishes.
