🎒 Travel essentials: Nanjing packing list
👕 **Clothing**
The temperature in Nanjing in November is moderate, but the temperature difference between morning and evening is large. It is recommended to bring a light jacket to cope with the temperature difference. At the same time, it is important to wear a pair of comfortable shoes, after all, there are many historical sites in Nanjing, and walking tours are the norm.
🎒 **Accessories**
Don't forget your hat and sunglasses, as the autumn sun in Nanjing is still bright. In addition, carry a power bank with you to ensure that your phone is fully charged and ready to capture beautiful moments.
📜 **Documents**
ID cards, cash, and bank cards are the basics of travel, especially ID cards, which are essential for both accommodation and sightseeing.
💊 **Other essentials**
There are many delicacies in Nanjing, so bring some digestive medicine just in case. In addition, the weather in autumn is changeable, so it is recommended to prepare umbrellas and common medicines in case of emergency.

Solo trip to Nanjing!!!
Depart from Guangdong! Solo trip to Nanjing 🍁 was so much fun! ||| Special note‼️: This is just my personal opinion and experience.
About food 🍽️
1️⃣ Jiming Soup Dumplings: Chrysanthemum leaves, signature pork, crab roe, duck blood vermicelli, red bean glutinous rice balls (highly recommended! Super delicious 🤤!)
2️⃣ Liu Changxing: Dumplings, dumplings, dumplings!! Big and juicy 🤤
3️⃣ Qijiawan Beef Potstickers: Delicious! I ordered takeout! The filling is sweet and juicy!
4️⃣ Shuiximen Wangji Duck: I ordered takeout for this too! I ate it for two days! Personally, I think the roast duck is better than the salted duck. The sweet and salty flavor goes perfectly with rice.
5️⃣ Shisan Tea: Rose dew, no sugar, normal ice, just right for me
6️⃣ Ma Wuwang: Super Mango (The staff here are really nice! The packaging design is also quite cultural, so I highly recommend it!)
7️⃣ Aunt Xu's Green Rice Balls: Not bad, not great. I bought it because it was on the way, just downstairs from the hotel. I think the Ai Ci in Guangdong is better. If you like sticky rice balls, you can try it.
About attractions 🌄 (Remember to make a reservation and book tickets in advance)
I visited: Presidential Palace, Three Must-Win, Confucius Temple, Qinhuai River, Xuanwu Lake, Zhongshan Scenic Area, Nanjing Museum
(Take the sightseeing bus if you can! There are a lot of people even on weekdays! The scenic area is large, so I don't recommend walking. Go to Confucius Temple and Qinhuai River at night to take photos!)
Accommodation 🏨: Youdu Shiyue (Perfect for solo travelers! All female guests, which is great!)
Complaints: I hate the traffic planning in Nanjing! The roads are narrow! Cars don't yield to pedestrians, and even when the light is green, electric scooters rush through the crosswalk... There are very few escalators in the subway! If you have heavy luggage, I suggest taking a taxi to and from the airport.
Summary: Nanjing is great, I'll come again!
AsherShadowblade71
Walk 20,000 steps to visit the entire Nanjing Museum (including reservation guide).
All the exhibits here are genuine, no replicas!
You must come and see it!
👀 The following are the key points:
1️⃣ Remember to make a reservation 7 days in advance on weekends!
Tickets are usually released at 9:00 am and 1:00 pm (3,000 tickets in the morning and 2,000 tickets in the afternoon).
2️⃣ Even if you get a special exhibition ticket, you must make a reservation to enter. Otherwise, you won't be able to enter the gate!
3️⃣ The visit is divided into morning and afternoon sessions (9:00 am–1:00 pm, 12:00 pm–4:00 pm).
🈯️ There are two types of visiting routes:
✅ Tight schedule: Special Exhibition Hall - History Hall - Republic of China Hall
✅ Ample time: Special Exhibition Hall - History Hall - Digital Hall - Intangible Cultural Heritage Hall - Republic of China Hall
4️⃣ Interpretation service: I personally think that human interpretation is better! The machine is relatively rigid and hard to understand. There are also volunteer services. You can get a number at the service desk. Each session has 30 people, and there are four sessions a day.
5️⃣ Opening hours of the museum: Tuesday to Sunday, closed on Monday.
❤️❤️❤️ Must-see treasures of the museum ❤️❤️❤️
👊 Special Exhibition Hall:
Hall 4: Cixi and her sister's gilded pagoda (this is very beautiful, recommended to see), ceramic flowers, carved lacquer throne
Hall 8: Blue and white Shoushan Fuhai pattern furnace, underglaze red Suihan Sanyou pattern plum vase, Matteo Ricci's Kunyu Wanguo Quantu
Hall 9: Western Han Dynasty golden beast
Hall 12: Small pink furnace, golden cicada and jade leaf
Note: All the treasures of the museum are exhibited in batches, and you can't see them all at once. I went there in September during the Mid-Autumn Festival and didn't see the small pink furnace.
👊 History Hall:
Hall 3: Silver thread jade clothes, Eastern Han Dynasty silver inlaid bronze ox lamp
Hall 4: Southern Dynasty brick painting of the Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove and Rong Qiqi
Hall 6: Glazed arch of the Great Bao'en Temple
⚠️ If you really can't make a reservation on weekends!
There is a little trick
Use "superpower" and directly buy a group tour guide service on Ctrip, which will automatically help you grab tickets.
I personally think this is quite worthwhile, saving the trouble of grabbing tickets, and I think the teacher's explanation is also very good.
More insights into cultural relics, very vivid.
⚠️⚠️ The most important point is that it is difficult to make a reservation for Nanjing Museum! Not Nanjing Museum!
These are two places! Two places! Two places!

Nanjing Museum is more than just a museum. Whose regret is it?
⛱️Must-see attractions: Nanjing Museum, Nanjing Ming Palace Ruins Park, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (Ming Palace Campus) - Aerospace Museum
🌄Travel tips: If you don't have a ticket, you can ask the security guard at the entrance to let you in to take photos, but you won't be able to enter the museum. You can enter the museum twice in one day with a ticket, which is suitable for those who want to explore the museum in depth. The first entry in the morning must be before 13:00. There are two entrances at the ticket gate: the History Museum entrance and the Art Museum entrance. It is recommended to enter from the Art Museum, as all the museums in Nanjing Museum are connected. There are many people queuing at the History Museum even on non-holidays, so don't worry about going back. Enter from the Art Museum (most of the museums in the Art Museum are under maintenance on non-holidays), turn right to the Special Exhibition Hall, and visit the Hall of Treasures first. Then go up to the fifth floor to see the scenery of Zijin Mountain, and then take the elevator down. Go to the second floor of the History Museum through the passage next to the service desk, and visit clockwise. There is a digital hall next to the toilet at the exit of the first floor of the History Museum. Follow the passage to the entrance of the Digital Museum, and you will reach the Republic of China Museum.
Yes, many people take wedding photos here. The photos are very beautiful. You can meet romantic stories of the Republic of China in the corresponding museum (if you are in a hurry, you can buy a cup of rice wine at the entrance and collect them all at once). Very artistic.
Cultural relics browsing suggestion: Rent an audio guide, so you don't have to worry about not being able to hear due to noise. The public explanation time of the History Museum is 10:00 and 14:00, with 30 places for each session. You need to queue in advance. The location is the service desk at the entrance of the History Museum, and the duration is about 2 hours. The same goes for the Special Exhibition Hall.
🏨Accommodation tips: If you are visiting Nanjing for the first time, it is recommended to stay near a subway station. There are attractions at almost every station on Line 2.
💗Other tips:
As for the key cultural relics, there are many strategies. Everyone has their own preference. Have a pleasant trip. There are snacks and cakes at the stalls at the entrance of the museum.

Nanjing Museum & Nanjing Museum & Chaotian Palace to explore the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties.
There are many museums in Nanjing.
I planned to visit Jiangnan Examination Hall but didn't make it.
I spent 3 days visiting 3 museums.
📍Nanjing Museum
It's huge, with six large halls, and there are many people even on weekdays.
Make a reservation 7 days in advance, and you can usually get a spot.
❌The popular pink stove, golden cicada jade leaf, and ox lamp are either on a business trip or not on display.
🌟Must-see exhibits: Golden Beast, Tang Sancai Double Fish Vase, Rong Qiqi and the Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove, Glazed Pagoda of the Great Bao'en Temple, Celadon Beast Zun, Seal of the King of Guangling, Cloud Pattern Gold Plate
🚶🏻♀️➡️Exhibition order: Art Hall🔜Intangible Cultural Heritage Hall🔜Republic of China Hall🔜Digital Hall🔜Special Exhibition Hall🔜History Hall (must-see)
‼️The Art Hall is on the left side of the main entrance, with fewer people and no queues. The halls are connected, so you don't need to queue at the History Hall. The Republic of China Hall has a street with snacks and an old teahouse with intangible cultural heritage performances.
🎀Cultural and creative products: Each hall has a cultural and creative store, but some stores are out of stock. If you want to buy everything, you need to check each store. There are many refrigerator magnets, especially the stamp set, which feels good.
📍Six Dynasties Museum
A surprising experience, not too big, with few collections, and a ticket price of CNY 30.
But the light and shadow and Chinese aesthetics of the exhibition are great.
🌟Must-see exhibits: Tile, Yuan Blue and White Pottery of Xiao He Chasing Han Xin Under the Moon, Celadon Under-glaze Color Feather Pattern Pot
🚶🏻♀️➡️Exhibition order: 2F Six Dynasties Style—3F Six Dynasties Talents—1F Six Dynasties Capital—1F Special Exhibition Only This Chinese Green
‼️The floor-to-ceiling windows on the 3F offer views of Nanjing.
🚶🏻♀️➡️Cultural and creative products: Not too many, on the first floor.
📍Chaotian Palace
The architecture is unique, a popular check-in spot, and suitable for photos.
The exhibits hidden on the second floor are amazing, and it's a waste not to go up.
Few people, good experience, almost like having the place to yourself.
🌟Must-see exhibits: Fisherman Playing with Lotus Amber Cup, Gem-inlaid Gold Box, Three Kingdoms Celadon Sheep Zun
‼️The popular photo spot is on the way to the restroom, and the second floor is a bit hidden. The first-floor lobby has a "Yutang Jiaqi" collection exhibition, and inside is a staircase that looks like a safety passage. Don't hesitate, just go up to the second floor.
🚶🏻♀️➡️Exhibition order: Lingxing Gate—Great City Gate—Dacheng Hall—Main Exhibition Hall—Palace Garden
🎀Cultural and creative products: There is a cultural and creative store near the exit, with many refrigerator magnets, all well-made.

A must-visit museum in Nanjing.
Nanjing, the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties, has a lot of history and culture. The Nanjing Museum is a must-visit place. The museum has many treasures. I especially like the gold jewelry and the golden beast that is the treasure of the museum. After the visit, I walked along the Wutong Avenue and appreciated the rows of Wutong trees planted during the Republic of China period. I recalled the figures of the Republic of China from my mind, and it was another cut...

【A Joyful Trip to Nanjing】 Explore the charm of the ancient capital and enjoy the freedom of independent travel!
🌟 Nanjing Travel Record 🌟
🚗 We set off on a 762-kilometer self-driving trip from Qingdao. We took turns driving, took breaks at service areas, and enjoyed snacks. The laughter and joy along the way made the journey less tiring.
🏨 Cozy accommodation near Confucius Temple 🏨 We booked a hotel near Confucius Temple in advance. The location was excellent, and the area was bustling. Although the hotel did not offer parking, we were lucky to find the Lianziying Parking Lot, which was reasonably priced and convenient.
👘 Hanfu experience by the Qinhuai River 👘 We rented Hanfu at the Qinhuai River near Confucius Temple and experienced a costume change through time. Professional makeup artists carefully dressed us up, and the photographer patiently captured our beautiful moments.
🛵 Exploring Nanjing by electric scooter 🛵 To make it easier to get around, we rented electric scooters. They were more economical and convenient than taxis. We rode through the streets and alleys of Nanjing, experiencing the city's blend of history and modernity.
🏛️ Deep impression of Nanjing Memorial Hall 🏛️ We visited the Nanjing Memorial Hall, which gave us a profound understanding of the weight of history. Please remember to book tickets in advance before visiting, to avoid missing out.
🌆 Nanjing, a city worth remembering 🌆 Nanjing impressed us with its cleanliness, standardization, and strong patriotic sentiment. We look forward to seeing it again.
📸 Capturing beautiful memories 📸 Our cameras captured the beauty of Nanjing, from the bustling Confucius Temple to the serene Qinhuai River. Every place was a precious memory.
🌈 We'll be back to Nanjing! 🌈

Graduation Trip
Travel here
With the graduation season approaching, choosing a place to play is not difficult. Here I share my travel guide and route, hoping it can be a reference for interested friends:
1. Jiming Temple: Take the subway to Jiming Temple early in the morning. It is recommended to arrive around eight o'clock, otherwise, there will be a huge crowd and long queues. After entering, you can get three incense sticks for free. Visit all the way to the top of the temple, and have breakfast there. The price of vegetarian noodles is reasonable. I highly recommend the pudding and tofu pudding. It is suggested to sit at the outer seats where you can view the entire Xuanwu Lake through the city tower. The tour time is 90-120 minutes.
2. Nanjing Museum: Take the subway to the museum. After exiting the station, walk through the avenue lined with plane trees. Walking on the road at this moment is very satisfying. There are two ticket gates. It is recommended to enter from the side exhibition hall ticket gate where there are fewer people. Once inside, the exhibition halls are interconnected. Be sure to leave more time for the museum. As the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties, Nanjing Museum has many exquisite collections. The tour time is 4-5 hours.
3. Xianfeng Bookstore (Wutaishan Main Store): After leaving Nanjing Museum, take the subway to Xianfeng Bookstore. After exiting the station, you can walk to the bookstore. The streets and plane trees along the way are also very photogenic. The bookstore has two floors, making you feel like you are in a sea of books. You can choose a postcard you like, write down what you want to say to yourself, your wishes, or expectations, and clip it on the postcard wall of the bookstore, leaving it for your future self or other travelers. You can also stop to read the postcards left by other travelers and experience different life stories. The tour time is 60-90 minutes.
4. Xuanwu Lake: After leaving Xianfeng Bookstore, take the subway to Xinjiekou for dinner, and then take the subway to Xuanwumen for a night tour of Xuanwu Lake. The lakeside is very cool at night, and the night view across the lake is also good. The convenience store on the small island is also very photogenic. The tour time is about 60 minutes. After the tour, take the subway back to the hotel to rest.

Summer blockbuster exhibition at Nanbo! Endless Treasures: The Artistic Spirit of Su Shi's Calligraphy and Painting!
► This is probably one of the biggest special exhibition events in the cultural relics world this summer!
The Nanjing Museum's three-year special exhibition "Endless Treasures" is an unprecedented blockbuster exhibition
- Centered around Su Shi's calligraphy and painting, in addition to his authentic works, 150 pieces of artworks influenced by his artistic spirit from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties are all here
- Many are rare pieces exhibited for the first time, including over 80 first-class calligraphy and painting works, among which there are more than 30 pieces from the Song and Yuan periods
- Artworks from the Song and Yuan periods have extremely high historical and cultural value, and in order to protect the cultural relics and ensure that the paintings are properly displayed during the three-month exhibition period, Nanbo will divide the exhibition into three phases
►How to visit
- Su Shi was the first to propose the concept of 'scholar-official painting'!
Literati painting, also known as 'scholar-official painting', generally refers to paintings made by scholars and scholar-officials in ancient Chinese society, as opposed to folk painters and professional painters from the court painting academy. The term 'literati' here specifically refers to people with culture, talent, and thought, so literati painting places great emphasis on artistic conception, stressing 'the conveyance of moral integrity through literature'
- The exhibition is divided into two major sections: painting and calligraphy. The painting section
includes three chapters: 'Expressing the Heart and Pleasing the Mind', 'Capturing the Form and Spirit', and 'Poetry in Painting'
The calligraphy section includes two chapters: 'The Law with Emphasis on Meaning' and 'Calligraphy as Cultivation'
The chapters are interconnected, collectively showcasing the profound artistic spirit of Su Shi
►From the audience's perspective
In the design of the exhibition hall, special double-glazed low-reflection glass is used to display all the calligraphy and painting works, and soft lighting ensures the best clarity of the exhibits,
The total introduction text of the entire venue is over a hundred thousand words, so you won't have trouble understanding
►Don't miss these exhibits
Song Su Shi's 'Bamboo and Rock Drawing of Xiao and Xiang'
Yuan Huang Gongwang's 'Fuchun Mountains Scroll'
Ming Zhu Xi's 'Letter to a Certain Minister'
Ming Ni Yuanlu's 'Bamboo and Rock Drawing'
Qing Bada Shanren's 'Autumn Window Bamboo Rhyme Drawing'
Qing Wang Yuanqi's 'Imitation of Mei Daoren's Landscape Scroll'
There are too many exhibits to list them all, better to come and see for yourself
►Tickets: 80 yuan, reserve first then buy tickets
►Exhibition period: until 8.18

Nanjing Museum History Gallery
The Nanjing Museum is also known as the Southern Museum or Nanbo, and its predecessor was the National Central Museum founded in the twenty-second year of the Republic of China (1933) by Cai Yuanpei and others. It is the earliest established museum in China and the first large-scale comprehensive museum built with national investment.
The Nanjing Museum covers an area of more than 130,000 square meters, with a 'one museum, six galleries' layout, namely the History Gallery, Special Exhibition Gallery, Digital Gallery, Art Gallery, Intangible Cultural Heritage Gallery, and Republic of China Gallery.
As of 2018, the Nanjing Museum has a collection of 432,768 items (sets), including 371,032 precious cultural relics. The number of precious cultural relics ranks second in China, only after the Palace Museum. The collections range from the Paleolithic Age to the contemporary era; they are both national and regional; they include both court heritage and archaeological finds, as well as a portion sourced from social collections and donations. They are all treasures and fine works from past dynasties and are highly regarded by the academic community both in China and abroad. The museum's collection includes bronzes, jades, ceramics, gold and silverware, bamboo, wood, ivory, and horn objects, lacquerware, silk embroidery, paintings and calligraphy, seals, steles, and statues. Each category of cultural relics forms its own historical series, serving as the most direct witness to the development of thousands of years of Chinese civilization.

The Nanbo Two Han Dynasty Bronze Lamps
Lamps are devices used for illumination. From bonfires and torches to the creation of lamps specifically for lighting, it has been a long journey. According to historical records, by the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods at the latest, China had already seen the emergence of specialized lighting fixtures.
Entering the Han Dynasty, the development of lamps entered a golden age. Not only were there a multitude of lamps with various shapes, but the craftsmanship was also exquisite. In terms of materials used, there were lamps made of bronze, iron, pottery, ceramic, jade, stone, and more; in terms of design features, there were bean-shaped lamps, plate lamps, portable lamps, multi-branched lamps, hanging lamps, and 'gang' lamps, to name just a few. Among these, the 'gang' lamp, unique to the Han Dynasty, was considered a marvel among Han Dynasty lamps due to its advanced design concept and the rarity of excavated specimens.
The word '釭' originally meant a hollow metal tube, which was mostly used as a part in vehicles and buildings before the Han Dynasty. It wasn't until the Han Dynasty that craftsmen incorporated bent and hollow tubes into lamp designs specifically for smoke exhaust, hence this type of lamp was called a 'gang lamp'.

The History Hall is a must-visit! Highly recommended!
Next is the Special Exhibition Hall.
The collection of the Nanjing Museum is what sets it apart from other museums. The sheer number of artifacts can take us back in time to experience the changes of the eras, and the wisdom of the ancients is also interpreted through the artifacts of daily life.
Even just walking around, you'll gain a lot.
The Republic of China Hall has been restored to replicate the streets of the Republic era, and the shops inside are actually open for business🈺. It was my first time seeing this form in a museum, and I found it very novel.
I really suggest setting aside a half-day to thoroughly explore the entire museum.
The place selling cultural and creative products is very crowded even on a Friday.
I bought a gold-colored plum vase commemorative coin from a commemorative coin vending machine, which feels more substantial than other commemorative coins I've bought elsewhere, and it's very worthwhile.

Nanjing, Jiangsu | Showcasing the dignity and splendor of imperial power in the Qing Dynasty court
I have finally arrived at the other side of the Anywhere Door - the Nanjing Museum.
❤Recommended Reason:
The Qing Dynasty was the last imperial dynasty in China, experiencing the glory of the 18th century and the decline of the 19th century. The 'Prosperous Era of Kangxi and Qianlong' became the last splendid sunset of Chinese feudal society.

The court life of the Qing Dynasty had its fixed rituals, magnificent furnishings, elegant curios, and exquisite daily utensils. The variety of utensils, diverse materials, beautiful designs, and exquisite craftsmanship all reflected the dignity and splendor of imperial power.

Nanjing, Jiangsu | The Eternal Epic of Chinese Jade - A Special Exhibition of Chinese Jade's Ten Thousand Year History
| The Eternal Epic of Chinese Jade - A Special Exhibition of Chinese Jade's Ten Thousand Year History. I've finally arrived at the other side of the Anywhere Door - the Nanjing Museum.
❤ Recommended Reason:
A grand gathering of exquisite jades across time and space, creating an ultimate jade feast. "The Eternal Epic of Chinese Jade - A Special Exhibition of Chinese Jade's Ten Thousand Year History."
👍 Most Recommended:
Jade born of Huaxia, jade born of China, jade beautifies the divine land; no other nation in the world has such a persistent fondness for jade as the Huaxia people. The long-standing Chinese jade civilization, through thousands of years of accumulation and refinement, alongside the origin, development, and growth of Chinese civilization, has gathered the wisdom and emotions of the Chinese nation, bearing important traits that distinguish it from other civilizations in the world.
Jade, the beauty of stones, embodies the essence and spirit of heaven and earth, crystal clear and exquisitely delicate, warm and gentle.
🌟 Highlights:
From "jade artifacts" to "jade culture" and then to "jade civilization," jade has long been deeply rooted in the lives, cognition, and beliefs of the Chinese people, spanning nearly ten thousand years.

The treasures of our ancestors are truly extraordinary
Recommended museum entry route:
There are two security check entrances, the History Museum and the Art Museum. When it's crowded, it's advisable to enter through the Art Museum, which is the venue on the left, as there are fewer people, and all the exhibition halls are interconnected.
You must visit the Special Exhibition Hall and the History Museum. It is recommended to allocate two days for a thorough visit, taking your time and possibly revisiting.
It is advised to purchase a book about the museum beforehand for a better understanding of the exhibits.

Nanjing Museum Supplementary Half-Day Tour
Nanjing Museum second visit, mainly to see the Golden Beast. The Golden Beast is currently the heaviest pure gold artifact excavated in China, and seeing the real thing is indeed very shocking. I have seen the other artifacts before, but this time I focused on them and found many wonderful aspects, such as observing the archway and brick paintings of the Dabaoen Temple up close, and also seeing a mini version of the tube lamp. Unfortunately, the Nanjing Museum only exhibits one or two national treasures at a time, making the viewing efficiency not high. It seems that only by visiting for the third or fourth time will I be able to see everything. Nanjing Museum

The collections of the Nanjing Museum
The Nanjing Museum is the one I was most looking forward to visiting. As one of the three major museums in China, it is truly worthwhile!

The ancient charm of Jinling, the city of Nanjing, beckons - the Nanjing Museum is a must-visit
I have always believed that Nanjing (formerly known as Jinling), the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties, is a city with profound historical and cultural heritage. According to historical records, more than 3,000 years ago during the Shang Dynasty, fortifications began to be built in the area of Nanjing, which shows that Nanjing is an important birthplace of Chinese civilization.
The Nanjing Museum has collected cultural relics and artifacts from all periods throughout the long history of Nanjing, with each category bearing witness to a piece of history. The museum is second only to the Palace Museum in terms of the number of precious cultural relics, making it one of the two most significant museums in the country.
The Nanjing Museum consists of six exhibition halls. Among them, the history, special exhibition, and art halls are above ground, while the digital, Republic of China, and intangible cultural heritage halls are underground. This design is quite rare among museums. The special exhibition hall and the Republic of China hall are the two most popular halls in the Nanjing Museum, with the latter recreating the real-life scenes of the Republic of China period and being an extremely popular spot for photography. The special exhibition hall houses many national treasures, each one a national treasure in its own right.
Below are a few of the incredible artifacts in the Nanjing Museum's collection that are must-sees:
✅ Western Han Dynasty gold beast, a late Warring States period artifact, is the heaviest gold object discovered in archaeology to date, weighing about nine kilograms.
✅ Gold cicada and jade leaf, with the pure gold cicada above and mutton-fat white jade below, is the only such combination of gold and jade in the country.
✅ Silver-threaded jade garments, of which there are only three in the country, each piece of jade is unique.
✅ Gold seal of the King of Guangling, the only Han Dynasty seal of the Liu family among the nobility discovered in the country.
✅ Celadon-glazed mythical beast zun, a national treasure whose lively sculpting has led to it being listed as prohibited from international exhibition.
✅ Kunyu Wanguo Quantu, the earliest known world map found in China.
The above are just a small part of the national treasures at the Nanjing Museum. The museum's precious first-class cultural relics number in the thousands, ranging from the distant Stone Age to modern times, all of which are treasures of various dynasties and the museum has a complete range of categories. Due to time constraints, it was a pity that I could only have a cursory look at some of the exhibition halls.
The Nanjing Museum (one of the three major museums in China) 👍 highly recommended

1. Confucius Temple
The Confucius Temple was first built during the Song Dynasty, located next to Gongyuan Street on the north bank of the Qinhuai River, originally a place to worship Confucius, and has been destroyed and rebuilt many times. It is known as one of China's four major Confucian temples along with the Confucius Temples in Beijing, Qufu, and the Wen Temple in Jilin, and is also the main attraction of the Confucius Temple Qinhuai River scenic area.
2. Nanjing Museum
The Nanjing Museum is located on the southern foothills of Zijin Mountain, inside the north side of Zhongshan Gate. Here you can see ancient artifacts such as the 'Golden-threaded Robe' from 'The Lost Tomb' series, as well as appreciate calligraphy and painting art, or even take a walk on the old streets for a journey through time.
3. Hongshan Forest Zoo
The Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo is located in the north of Nanjing city, overlooking Zijin Mountain to the east and bordering Xuanwu Lake to the south. It boasts unique forest landscapes and animal resources, and is an important ecological card of Jiangsu Province. It gathers more than 260 species and over 3,000 rare wild animals from around the world.

Those quirky and cute cultural relics in Nanjing Museum
Nanjing Museum has 18 treasures, which are displayed in rotation every year, with a maximum of 4-5 pieces at a time. But this year is the 90th anniversary of Nanjing Museum, and 12 treasures were displayed at once. If you come to Nanjing, you must go to Nanjing Museum, it's really interesting.

The two-day and one-night weekend trip to Nanjing was so worth it!
Our hotel transportation is very convenient, close to the subway entrance Xuzhuang Software Park/Xianlin University City Business District·Nanjing
On the first day, we went to the Nanjing Museum. The Nanjing Museum is very large, and we didn't finish strolling around even after several hours. We can come again next time. People like me who love to buy cultural and creative products were immediately attracted haha
In the evening, we went to Nanjing 1912 Street. It's very suitable for taking pictures and there are many quiet bars.
On the second day, we went to Xuanwu Lake Scenic Area for photography. The scenery is good and it's really big. I only strolled a little bit because our main purpose was to take pictures.
In the afternoon, we went to Jiangning Weaving Museum. My god, it's simply my trap➕1. There are many cultural and creative products, and the overall layout of the museum is very artistic. It has a kind of Jiangnan water town style. I particularly like the Red Mansion in it. The Cheongsam Museum has a few exhibits.
In the evening, we were at the Confucius Temple. The scenery in the Confucius Temple and Qinhuai Scenic Belt is very beautiful. The things in the Confucius Temple... I won't buy.
We ate at Yonghe Garden Restaurant, I recommend salted duck.

Nanjing Museum, the essence of Nanjing
For the first time, I embarked on a special forces operation without any strategy, simply going with the flow and seeing things as they come. I arrived in Nanjing on Friday evening, had a beef hotpot for my first meal, and stayed at the Orange Hotel near the Confucius Temple.
The next morning, I checked in at the Nanjing Museum, immersing myself in the history and culture of Nanjing, and saw real dinosaurs🦕🦴, imagining the scenes from the Jurassic period. I wandered and observed until the afternoon before finally leaving. I was extremely excited upon entering, but by the time I left, I felt dizzy from the overload of information; my brain's CPU was overheating. Overall, if you go to Nanjing, you should visit the museum, and it's even better to take kids with you.
Lunch was supposed to be at a popular restaurant right outside the museum, but the queue was too long, so I went back to the hotel. The beef hotpot near the hotel was really delicious.
I switched to the Huazhu Manxin Hotel near the Confucius Temple, and after some rest to regain my strength, I continued to stroll around since the hotel was located right in the scenic old street.
In the evening, I visited the Confucius Temple, which was bustling with people and had a strong commercial vibe. I took in the overall atmosphere, the view from the bridge was nice, and since I was there, I didn't take a boat to see the night view. Back at the hotel, I refueled with durian and duck neck.
Later at night, around 9 pm, I went out for another stroll. The old street wasn't crowded, the lanterns were beautiful, and it felt great. After midnight, I enjoyed some delicious skewers.
The third day, I woke up naturally and returned to the city!
It was my first impromptu trip, and after several days, I don't remember the hotels and restaurants very well, making this a travelogue without much reference value.
In conclusion, if you're traveling light and decide to just go, then just go. Don't worry about how many attractions you've checked off after spending money on plane tickets. What's important is being with your loved ones, wandering around. I felt the truth in the blessing: I hope you feel every day like the night before a trip.
