Nanhai Guanyin Temple, originally called Guanyin Palace, was established in the 31st year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1692) and is located on the east side of Dashiao, Zhelang Island in the Red Bay.
It is said that Guanyin achieved enlightenment here and became one of the four great Bodhisattvas, leaving behind many sacred relics associated with miraculous legends. Attractions include 'Buddha's Sand', 'Buddha's Seal Stone', 'Enlightenment Stone', and more.
