I stayed in Wuxi for two days and really didn't want to go home
Wuxi seems like a huge energy field...
I would like to call it the INFP city!
-
Day1: Huishan Ancient Town - Jichang Garden - Xihui Park - Nanchang Street (Night View)
Day2: Nanchan Temple - coffee walk - Light of Li Lake (Sunset)
·
🏨Accommodation recommendation:
Since I was traveling alone, I chose the ROCASE apartment hotel opposite Nanchang Street, which really has a high cost performance! A one-bedroom suite is also very suitable for couples or families with children, with a gym and a swimming pool, and breakfast is self-service. The restaurant also offers ordering service, and honestly, the food feels even better than eating outside~ The most important thing is that it's really convenient
-
🍃Attraction recommendation:
✔️Huishan Ancient Town: A ticket-free scenic area, it's very comfortable to walk around and eat, and after the rain, the mist in the mountains is so spiritual!
✔️Jichang Garden: The most worthwhile place! It feels like a huge energy field! And it really heals you as much as any other garden
✔️Nanchang Street: You can come to take night photos, of course, it also feels very good during the day, with quite a few coffee shops
✔️Nanchan Temple: I found that the same type of prayer beads as in Yonghe Temple is only 1/3 of the price! It's really a bit outrageous, and it's so beautiful to walk on the bridge and take photos~
✔️Light of Li Lake: The Light of Li Lake is so beautiful before sunset! Worthy of being called the little Sanya of Wuxi! It's also very comfortable to ride a bike here~

1✔️🎞️Film card check-in at the same location as Nanchan Temple Miaoguang Tower: Picture 1
Before entering the temple, go to the Nanchan Temple Cultural and Creative Shop at the entrance to ask how to get the 🎞️, they said that this film card can be obtained for free in limited quantities every day, because it's too popular recently, so if you like it, make sure to go early in the morning!
2✔️You can get a free stamp in the cultural and creative shop, this year's little dragon treasure is too cute! You can also ask for a dragon year 📿 dragon scale bead, I really like it! The shop gave a red handbag for the dragon year, it's so festive!
3✔️Nanchan Temple is not very large overall, but it has temples, shrines, and halls, and it has a history of more than a thousand years, the incense 🔥 is very popular, it is said to be very effective, it is worth visiting at the beginning of the new year!
4✔️The Miaoguang Tower lights up around 18:00, if you want to see the night view, you can arrive at 16:00 like me, after offering incense and paying respects, you can leave the temple just before it closes, stroll around the pedestrian street for dinner, and then enjoy the night view~

Temple Life in Wuxi China 🇨🇳
Nanchan Temple is a location near the city where one can come for a peaceful time of prayer, purchase prayer beads or related items, and be around other like minded faith individuals.
I love this location because even though the downtown busy city of Wuxi is not so far away this location has always been ultra relaxing for me and others I have had the pleasure of visiting here with.
Plenty of places to eat in the area including snacks foods or KFC but also traditional Chinese foods.
There is a subway line that brings you here as well so if you don’t have a car don’t worry.
There’s also plenty of other places to go in the area as well.
If you happen to be in there city, take my advice and give this place a quick visit.

Nanchan Temple Sticky Rice Cake, Wuxi - a must-try!
If you're a fan of sticky rice cakes, you can't miss Yongtaishangdian Handmade Cake Shop in Nanchan Temple, Wuxi. The shop was originally opened in Suzhou, but now you can also taste the delicious Chinese-style sticky rice cakes in Wuxi.
📍Location: Nanchan Temple Mall 112-15, Liangxi District, Wuxi (next to N Duo Sushi). The transportation is very convenient. You can walk 90 meters from Exit 8 of Nanchan Temple Station on Subway Line 1.
🥧Recommended cakes:
- Assorted Da Gao (CNY 18): A must-try for those who have difficulty making decisions. It includes 6 types of Da Gao, among which the mint paste is the most special. It has a faint mint flavor, which is cool and not too sweet.
- Chi Yun Juan (CNY 15): Similar to Lv Da Gun. Layers of glutinous rice cakes are wrapped with bean paste, and the outermost layer is dipped in thick soybean flour. The taste is rich and the bean paste flavor is strong.
- Snowflake Crisp: It contains various nuts and cranberries, and the ingredients are very sufficient. It is very chewy when you bite it, not too sweet, and it doesn't stick to your mouth.
⚠️Note: The cakes should not be refrigerated. The shelf life at room temperature is 3 days. Refrigeration will harden the cakes and affect the taste.

“The Most Flourishing Forest in Jiangnan” — Wuxi • Nanchan Temple
Nanchan Temple, also known as Fusheng Zen Monastery, is located at No. 32 Xiangyang Road, Liangxi District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, situated in the southern corner of the old city of Wuxi, by the ancient canal. Nanchan Temple was first built in the first year of the Taiqing period of the Southern Liang Dynasty (547 AD), originally named Huguo Temple. It was one of the famous temples in Jiangnan among the 480 temples of the Southern Dynasties, with the saying “Liangxi's grand temple, first Huishan, then Huguo.” In the first year of the Yongxi period of the Northern Song Dynasty (984 AD), a pagoda was built (later named Miaoguang Pagoda); in the third year of the Chongning period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1023-1031 AD), the temple was rebuilt and granted the name “Fusheng Zen Monastery,” commonly known as “Nanchan Temple,” and was called “The Most Flourishing Forest in Jiangnan.”
The main buildings of Nanchan Temple exhibit the architectural characteristics of Buddhist temples in the Jiangnan region during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The beam structure inside the temple is relatively simplified, with beams and columns directly joined through mortise and tenon joints, without relying on the dougong layer. The height of the dougong on the columns occupies a small proportion of the total elevation but is densely packed. The eaves are relatively short, with beautifully curved flying eaves, elegant and lively. The roof has a steep pitch, with rich details in the tile work, reflecting the architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The Miaoguang Pagoda in the temple is a seven-story, eight-sided pavilion-style structure, with copper bells hanging from the eaves corners, praised as “the sound of the golden bell heard for ten miles, the jade dragon descending from the sky,” and is one of the “Eight Scenic Spots of Wuxi.”
In 2012, the Nanchan Temple Scenic Area in Wuxi, where Nanchan Temple is located, was listed as a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Impressions of Wuxi: the ancient charm of Nanchan, the night scene of Nanchang, and the rainy mood of Hui Mountain
Impressions of Wuxi: the ancient charm of Nanchan, the night scene of Nanchang, and the rainy mood of Hui Mountain.
🌞Wuxi Trip: Encounter the tranquility of Nanchan, indulge in the night scene of Nanchang, and stroll in the rain of Hui Mountain🌧️
In this early summer season, I embarked on a journey to Wuxi, filled with infinite longing for this Jiangnan water town. At noon on the 18th, with the sun shining brightly, I arrived in this gentle city. The distance from the high-speed rail station to the hotel was just a stone's throw away, convenient and comfortable. The hotel was elegant and affordable, with a chain quality for about 160 yuan, making me feel warm and cozy. What's more delightful is that it's located right in the embrace of Nanchan Temple and Nanchang Street, as if it was a resting place tailor-made for my trip.
🏞️After dropping off my luggage, I couldn't wait to step into this ancient and charming world. Despite the high sun, the enthusiasm of the visitors was undiminished, and the solemnity of Nanchan Temple and the prosperity of Nanchang Street intertwined into a vivid picture. I wandered among them, feeling the historical charm emanating from every brick and tile. As night fell and the lights came on, the night scene of Nanchang Street was even more breathtaking. Compared with Nanjing and Suzhou, it had a unique flavor that made people linger and forget to return. Sitting alone under the bridge, avoiding the scorching sun, and enjoying the pleasant breeze on my face, at that moment, time seemed to stand still, and my soul found unprecedented peace.
🌧️However, the weather in Jiangnan is always changeable. That night, a light rain continued, heralding the arrival of the plum rain season. Although the rain was not heavy, it added a bit of poetry to my trip to Hui Mountain the next day. I bought tickets in advance and stepped into this ancient town with a long history. Hui Mountain Ancient Town, like many other Jiangnan ancient towns, is filled with a strong commercial atmosphere, but its simplicity and tranquility still intoxicate. The Suzhou-style gardens in the rain appeared even more gentle, with each raindrop seeming to tell a thousand-year-old story. Regrettably, due to the slippery roads in the rain, I was unable to climb to the top of Hui Mountain, but this regret also became a thought for a future revisit.
💡Here, I would like to remind friends who are about to embark on a journey during the Jiangnan plum rain season to check the weather forecast before setting out and to make rainproof preparations. A pair of waterproof shoe covers might make your journey more relaxed and enjoyable. At the same time, please also pay attention to safety and enjoy every intimate encounter with nature.
My trip to Wuxi not only allowed me to experience the tranquility of Nanchan and the night scene of Nanchang but also let me find a spiritual home in the rain of Hui Mountain. This city, in its unique way, tells the story of Jiangnan, waiting for every traveler to listen and comprehend.

Nanchan Temple, also known as Fusheng Zen Temple, is located at No. 32 Xiangyang Road, Liangxi District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, within the northern area of the Wuxi Nanchan Temple Scenic Area. It is situated in the southern corner of the old city of Wuxi, by the ancient canal. Nanchan Temple was first built in the first year of the Taiqing era of the Southern Liang Dynasty (547 AD) and was initially named Huguo Temple. It was one of the 480 temples of the Southern Dynasties. In the first year of the Yongxi era of the Northern Song Dynasty (984 AD), a pagoda was built (later named Miaoguang Pagoda). In 1983, the Miaoguang Pagoda in Nanchan Temple was announced by the Wuxi Municipal People's Government as one of the first batch of cultural relics protection units in Wuxi.

A Day Trip to Wuxi
Nanjing university students visited Wuxi on a scorching hot day, and it was insanely hot.
1⃣️ Got up at 6:30 in the morning to catch the high-speed train 🚅 from Nanjing South at around 8:00 (really sleepy, could hardly open my eyes, you guys don't need to get up so early because it might not take that long).
2⃣️ After arriving in Wuxi, you can store your luggage first (here directly at the subway 🚇 station for free, don't look for luggage lockers, they are really unreliable). The subway staff will have you register your name and phone number, and give you a number tag, just come back to collect it when you're done, the guys and girls are really enthusiastic!
3⃣️ The first stop was Donglin Academy, directly accessible by subway, 500m walk from Donglin Square Station Exit 1 to the east entrance of Donglin Academy. If you want to check in at the main gate, remember to walk out of the south exit! The fountain inside Donglin Academy is really beautiful and worth taking photos of 📸.
4⃣️ Then, you can take a bus from Donglin Academy to Nanchan Temple, just two stops and two yuan (it's best to have coins ready, I couldn't open Alipay at the time, luckily I brought coins with me, it was super embarrassing 😳). There are many people offering incense at Nanchan Temple, and if you're interested, you can buy some at the entrance! Although it's not expensive, remember to shop around.
5⃣️ At Tianning Temple, we ordered the Overlord Tea Ji, which was a new product called Wanli Magnolia, ordered two cups, and got a badge blind bag, in which I pulled out a treasure ship 🚢. The new product is really the taste of Assam milk tea, those who like Assam can give it a try, the tea flavor is quite strong.
6⃣️ Then we walked to Nanchang Street, not far, but it was really hot in the scorching sun, almost killed me!!! The Xinwanxin on Nanchang Street is really delicious, Wuxi's special silver thread noodles hahaha, I had the chicken soup base, the red soup base is also very good, served with sweet and sour ribs, really fragrant, worth a try, and not expensive, a bowl of noodles is only 10 yuan, plus some side dishes, the average cost per person is just over 50.
7⃣️ After lunch, we took a taxi to the Wuxi Museum (it's quite far, if you don't want to ride a shared bike 🚲 or a shared electric scooter 🛵, just choose to take a taxi, it's not expensive, Didi is only about ten yuan). Wuxi Museum is quite large, if you look carefully, it will take a long time to visit.
8⃣️ The last stop was Sanyang Plaza, needless to say, Sanyang Plaza is really Wuxi's small Xinjiekou, very large, takes a long time to explore, we also went to Xiaolou Lane, but because it was too hot, we didn't stay long and just wandered in the mall until the end.
Today's expense was 150↔️, discovered another city suitable for budget travel, hahahaha (maybe not suitable for budget travel, it's just that I'm rather poor).

Personal Experience
Thinking about my solo trip, strolling through Huishan Ancient Town, the lady selling Magnolia cakes was very enthusiastic even though I only bought one cake. Walking on the busiest streets, everyone has their own life to be busy with. On Nanchang Street, I met many impressive people, some making sugar paintings on the spot and others cutting silhouette portraits. I also saw various green plants. Having grown up in Chongqing, coming to Wuxi made me feel inexplicably relaxed, with that unique Jiangnan charm. Riding a small scooter🛵 by Taihu Lake, feeling the breeze on my face, looking at the sparkling water of the lake, reflecting a healing blue hue, that feeling is very relaxing. Just being by the lake, I could daydream for a whole day. You can't experience this kind of relaxation with a military-style trip...

✅ Address: No. 32 Xiangyang Road, Liangxi District, Wuxi City, Wuxi Nanchan Temple Scenic Area
Tickets🎫: Free🆓
This is the only temple I've visited where I only entered the main hall, not because there wasn't enough time, but because there were too many people.
My biggest impression of Wuxi this time is the strong commercial atmosphere. Nanchan Temple has the largest external flow of people and is the noisiest temple I have visited so far. Generally, temples are quiet places, even with many visitors, they don't feel bustling, but during the May Day holiday, a market was set up outside Nanchan Temple, and not far away was a crowded food street, which made me feel like it could disturb those in meditation.
✅ The architecture itself is still very beautiful, with a stronger classical aura compared to Hengshan Temple (at the foot of the mountain) that I visited the day before. It would be nice to visit on a normal day, but during May Day, it's really not recommended, quite irritating.

💭 Personal Reflections
Traveling alone, I felt the peacefulness of the years on the stone-paved roads of Hui Shan Ancient Town. Even a simple magnolia cake became more delicious because of the auntie's enthusiasm. On Nan Chang Street, the craftspeople's skills were an eye-opener for me, sugar painting, paper-cutting, each one an artwork. The Jiangnan atmosphere of Wuxi made me, a girl from Chongqing, feel incredibly relaxed. Cycling by Taihu Lake, with the lake breeze gently blowing and the sparkling waves, that tranquility seemed to make one forget all worries. Traveling is not just about the destination, but also a process of spiritual purification and self-discovery.

Wuxi Ultimate Guide, One-Day Tour Completed, Please Accept!
As a native Wuxian,
I won't allow anyone to have not visited Wuxi.
Here's the ultimate one-day tour guide for you.
🚗Transportation: Either subway or self-driving is fine, Wuxi has developed transportation, and for those who don't want to drive, taking the subway is very convenient.
Itinerary: Sanyang Plaza - Dayu Hotpot - Huishan Ancient Town - Xihui Park - Nanchan Temple - Nanchang Street
🥤First Stop—Chayan Yuese
Nowadays, young people have the habit of getting a milk tea before going out on a trip~ I highly recommend Chayan Yuese, the tea flavor is strong, and the milk is rich~ Sanyang Plaza Subway Exit 5 is right at Chayan Yuese Dadao Department Store, wait in line for about 10 minutes, and you can get your milk tea. After getting your milk tea, you can also stroll around the area, with pedestrian streets, Henglong, and Suning all nearby, which are among the bustling areas of Wuxi.
🍲Second Stop—Dayu Hotpot
When it's mealtime, if you don't want stir-fried dishes, remember to try this super popular Dayu Hotpot. I've been eating it for 9 years and still think it's super nice. Yunbat, Suning, and Henglong all have their venues, which shows how popular it is. Authentic Sichuan and Chongqing hotpot, tripe is a must-order, crispy and tender, very high quality.🍰 Self-service condiments, desserts, and fruits are all unlimited.
Third Stop—Huishan Ancient Town
Take Subway Line 1 to Line 3 to Line 4, and Huishan Ancient Town Exit 6 is right at the entrance of the ancient town, 🎫no admission ticket needed. Temples, classical trinkets, and snacks are all available. For those who haven't been there, it's quite fun for the first visit.
🎫Fourth Stop—Xihui Park
The ticket is 10 yuan, and a 70 yuan joint ticket includes the park admission. The cable car is 60 yuan for a round trip, or you can climb to the top of the mountain from the Huishan entrance. To avoid long queues due to the crowd, head straight to Xihui Park and get on the cable car in about 15 minutes. The cable car is mainly for the fun experience. Xihui Park is not big, 🚣there is boating and a children's playground, and the scenery is also very nice, it's a park that locals like to visit.
🍢Fifth Stop—Nanchan Temple
Nanchan Temple has beautiful scenery, not only can you experience the ancient charm of Jiangnan, but also no admission ticket is needed. There are many snacks, which are very suitable for a leisurely stroll in good weather, walking and eating, very comfortable.
🏮Sixth Stop—Nanchang Street
Nanchang Street is very close to Nanchan Temple, just a walk away. The daytime Nanchang Street is very quiet, walking on the protruding bluestone slabs, feeling the history and stories of this old street, the ancient town charm of Jiangnan is very strong here.
At night, Nanchang Street under the night sky is even more beautiful, strolling along the riverbank, with small bridges, flowing water, pavilions, and towers, under the moonlight, it adds an ancient charm, sketching a picture of the ancient Jiangnan water town~ Walking further, various specialty restaurants, antique shops, and music bars are all available, if you like, you can go and experience it~

Explore the historical and cultural Nanchan Temple with a weekend two-day tour commemoration
🌿"Rumors of the golden bell spread for ten miles, and the jade dragon descends from the sky for half a day."
🌿Nanchan Temple is located in the southern corner of the old city of Wuxi. The afternoon sun is just right, and we walk from Nanchang Street along the ancient canal towards the northwest. While walking and browsing, we pass through the Nanchang Street pedestrian area and Yangchun Alley to reach the Nanchan Temple scenic area. Entering from the main gate, right in front is the Miaoguang Pagoda, which was built during the Yongxi period of the Northern Song Dynasty. The pagoda is 6 meters at the top and 43.3 meters in height, and it is one of the 'Eight Scenic Spots of Wuxi'.
🌿In the evening, the scenery within the scenic area is also very magnificent. Among them, the snack street of Nanchan Temple night market can be said to be the most popular place. In the evening, the visitors are like weaving, and the snack varieties displayed on both sides of the stalls are dazzling. Many stalls have queues in front, and many young people meet here in groups, browsing and eating along the way, filled with the atmosphere of life.

Open the center of the universe - Wuxi Nanchan Temple
Nanchan Temple, also known as Fusheng Zen Temple, is located in the north area of Wuxi Nanchan Temple Scenic Area, No. 32 Xiangyang Road, Liangxi District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, located in the south corner of Wuxi old city, beside the ancient canal. Nanchan Temple was built in the first year of Taiqing of the Southern Liang Dynasty (547 AD), initially named Huguo Temple, one of the 480 temples of the Southern Dynasty.
Nanchan Temple, a quiet place by the ancient canal, has experienced thousands of years of vicissitudes and witnessed countless historical changes. It is not only a place of Buddhist culture inheritance, but also a place where people seek spiritual tranquility.
Entering Nanchan Temple is like traveling through the tunnel of time and space, returning to that ancient era. The Heavenly King Hall, the Daxiong Treasure Hall and other buildings are simple and elegant, and every brick and tile reveals a sense of historical heaviness. Here, you can feel the solemnity and sanctity, and also feel the tranquility and peace.
Walking along the stone road, the Miaoguang Tower stands in front of you. This ancient pagoda has witnessed the glory and glory of Nanchan Temple. The tower is tall and straight, the top of the tower is shining with golden light, and whenever the sun shines on the tower, it emits dazzling light, as if telling an ancient and mysterious story.
Here, you can put down the hustle and bustle of the world and feel the tranquility and peace. Let the soul be purified, let the thoughts settle. Nanchan Temple, a mysterious place worth exploring, a place where your soul can be comforted.

Nanchan Temple in Wuxi, Jiangsu: A solemn Buddhist temple that has stood for 1500 years
Although Nanchan Temple is small, it is bustling with incense and closely connected to the historical district by the ancient Wuxi Canal. The Miao Guang Tower in the temple stands out among the pink walls and black tiles, becoming a landmark in this area. After worshipping in the temple, you can go shopping nearby, taste delicious food, and the night view here is definitely worth a look.
Nanchan Temple was first built in the early years of Taiqing of Emperor Wu of the Southern Liang Dynasty (AD 547), and after many ups and downs, the temple we see now was rebuilt in the 1980s and 1990s.
The south end of the temple is the main gate, and there are only a few buildings such as the Daxiong Hall on the north-south axis. The seven-story Miao Guang Tower on the east side overlooks the roofs of the antique buildings below, and the Nanchan Temple Wharf on the south side of the ancient canal, as if a scroll of the ancient canal is unfolding before your eyes. The Nanchan Temple Vegetarian Restaurant on the east side of the temple gate provides vegetarian meals, which can be ordered for takeaway.
The area around Nanchan Temple has formed a commercial area, with all kinds of snacks, antique markets, flower and bird markets, and book cities. You can go shopping for some small items. The snacks here are similar to most tourist attractions in Wuxi, such as stinky tofu, Wuxi ribs, grilled chicken wings, etc. Out of Nanchan Temple is Nanchan Temple Pedestrian Street, a few steps to the east next to the temple is a Mu Guiying food store, which some tourists call "a place to eat after visiting Nanchan Temple", mainly selling pastries and snacks, magnolia cakes, green groups, small cages, and zongzi are all good.
When night falls, the lights of Nanchan Temple and the old houses by the ancient canal are bright, and the strings of red lanterns hanging on the old houses are reflected in the canal, attracting many photography enthusiasts. It is recommended that you must take a walk along the canal, or take a boat tour of the Qingming Bridge Ancient Canal Scenic Area from Nanchan Temple Wharf. The water bus (i.e. tour boat), travels from Nanchan Temple Wharf to Shuixian Daoist Temple in the southeast, and then returns to Nanchan Temple Wharf.
Sitting on the boat, from Nanchan Temple Wharf to Kuatang Bridge, you can see the fashionable old buildings, namely Yangchun Lane Commercial District. From Kuatang Bridge to Qingming Bridge is the essence part, known as "Jiangnan Water Alley, Canal Unique Land", transformed from old houses into historical districts, you can find many beautiful people leaning on the water, small balconies. It is recommended to take a boat to Shuixian Daoist Temple, then walk back to Nanchan Temple Wharf, if interested, you can also turn to Yangchun Lane for a visit.

Heading towards 'Xi'
Finally came to play in Wuxi!
📍Nan Chan Temple
Do you remember the line from Du Mu's 'Spring in Jiangnan': 'Four hundred and eighty temples of the Southern Dynasties, how many towers and pavilions in the smoke', Nan Chan Temple is one of them.
📍Nan Chang Street
Water and land run parallel, with river streets adjacent. The houses on both sides of the river live along the river. As time goes by, many interesting shops have sprung up. Find an afternoon, invite a few friends to take a walk, listen to the Pingtan tunes, watch the new things, and the afternoon is gone.
ANIYAH MCBRIDE
In the Jiangnan area, there are many temples due to historical reasons. Especially during the Northern and Southern Dynasties, there were poems in the "four hundred and eighty temples of the Southern Dynasties, how many buildings were in the rain." In the Southern Dynasties, many temples were built in the Jiangnan area, and there is such a place in Wuxi, Jiangsu.
The Nanchan Temple in the center of Wuxi is one of the 480 temples in the Southern Dynasties. It was built in the early years of the Southern Dynasties of Emperor Liangwu (AD 547) and has a long history of nearly 1500 years.
This temple was originally called Huguo Temple. It ranks second in Wuxi Temple, second only to Huishan Temple. It is a well-known ancient temple in Jiangnan.
Nanchan Temple has become a landmark in Wuxi. Now it has built a commercial street in Nanchan Temple. Both locals and foreigners like to come here to visit, but now the size of Nanchan Temple is much smaller. If you visit, you can walk around in 20 minutes. The
temple maintains the architectural style of the Jiangnan area during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. A towering tower in the temple is the symbol of Nanchan Temple. The Miaoguang Tower is 43.3 meters high and was built in the Northern Song Dynasty. It has been more than a thousand years old.
Nanchan Temple was rebuilt in the Northern Song Dynasty Tiansheng, and Song Renzong gave the name "Fusheng Temple". Eight years later, Song Renzong gave the name "Shousheng Temple" to the North Zen Temple corresponding to Nanchan Temple. It is a very glorious thing for the same emperor to give names to the two temples in Xicheng.
Nanchan Temple is located in the city center and is easily accessible by subway.
