Travel to Mae Hong Son and raft at Tham Nam Lod
Tham Nam Lod is located in Tham Lod Subdistrict, 77 kilometers from Mae Hong Son city. It is an important archaeological site under the care of the Pai River Wildlife Sanctuary. The main attraction is 'Tham Nam Lod,' a cave with a stream running through it. Inside the cave, there are beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. Since it is not possible to walk inside, visitors must take a raft to see the interior beauty.
The cave is approximately 1 kilometer long and consists of three large chambers: 'Tham Sao Hin Luang,' a spacious cave with prominent stalactites and stalagmites, the most notable being a large limestone pillar formed by the merging of several stalactites and stalagmites, some as high as 20 meters. 'Tham Tukata' features small, doll-like stalactites. The last chamber near the exit is 'Tham Phi Man.'
The cave is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Due to the darkness inside, visitors cannot explore on their own and must hire a guide with a lantern for a fee of 150 baht. The Tham Nam Lod Nature and Wildlife Study Center offers accommodations and facilities. There are guesthouses available, and camping is allowed in designated areas.

The nature trail takes a while to reach. Be cautious of slippery paths if it rains. When you arrive at the cave, it looks like a large hollow where water flows through from one side to the other.
Upon reaching the main entrance of the cave, there is some water but not much. At the cave entrance, there are large fish that you can feed. ☺️

"Tham Lod Cave: Exploring Nature's Ancient Ma
It’s a 1 hr journey from Pai city to Tham Lod cave. Many bends and turns. Better to go there on a city tour rather than motor biking unless you are a very experienced rider.
The cave is interesting with those rock formations. Recommended to take the bamboo raft for a complete set of experience.
Required to have a guide to bring you in and they will show you the rock formations. #Thamlodcave #Thamlod #pai #Thailand

Tham Lot Cave, Mae Hong Son - Thailand: We can get there by driving from Pai or purchase a day tour. It is fun experiencing the cave by sitting in a bamboo raft to get into the cave since we cannot walk in the river ourselves from the entrance.
