Underrated Gem - Naiyang Beach 🏝
1. Land in Phuket 2. Head straight to Patong Beach🥷 This plan of action is more common than pad thai at a street market🙈
Today, we’re going to explore another route: landing in Phuket and gracing Naiyang beach with your beautiful, awesome self. Depending on where you’re coming from, I believe, starting your journey here will ease you into island life, and offer just the right amount of vegetation, beach and activities.
Though relatively large, Naiyang beach has a “small” feel to it. It isn’t swarming with tourists. The beachfront is packed with greenery, but not in a way that makes you feel like you just stepped out of a jungle.
The restaurants and massage spots are minimal and serve to nourish those who visit when nourishment is needed. Nothing here is “in your face”, - the place is peaceful, relaxed, and just “moderate” in the best kind of ways.
After exploring Phuket quite extensively, I’ve come to the conclusion that this beach is either a perfect introduction to Phuket or the perfect way to say goodbye to the town. So do visit, and as always, enjoy☺️

The beach that got featured in movies
Nai Yang Beach is located in the island's extreme north. It is close enough to the airport that one may sit and watch jets arrive and go without being disturbed by their noise. The vast expanses of white sand lined by strangely shaggy Casuarina trees are far from being a conventional tourist brochure, sterile, palm fringed paradise, but they are really nice.
Nai Yang was one among the Thailand locales utilized in the filming of Renee Zellweger, Hugh Grant, and Colin Firth's 2004 film Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason.
Naiyang Beach is well known for being only a 10-minute drive from Phuket International Airport, and it has remained one of Phuket's most lovely beaches despite its growing popularity.

Phuket's 7 less crowded beaches, have more fun away from the crowds
📍 Mai Kao Beach
The beach is long with coarser sand. Features 'turtle nesting' from November to March
-
📍 Nai Yang Beach
Close to Phuket Airport, fewer tourists, you can see the planes taking off and landing at sunset, great for plane spotting
-
📍 Nai Thon Beach
Pristine, more fishermen, strong winds during the rainy season from May to October
-
📍 Bang Tao Beach
Peaceful, safe to swim within the marked areas
-
📍 Kamala Beach
Less crowded and quiet, shallow waters with many reefs, there's a very small SurinBeach on the north side, quiet with fewer people, and the water quality is decent
-
📍 Nai Han Beach
Surrounded by mountains, it's a deep-water bay
-
📍 Rawai Beach
On the southern coast, with white soft sand, there's a seafood market! Remember to bargain!
