My visit to the Nagoya City Science Museum was a blast! The building itself was super cool, with a giant silver sphere housing one of the world’s largest planetariums. I was excited to explore! Inside, there were so many fun, hands-on exhibits. I loved playing with interactive science experiments, like creating lightning with a Tesla coil and making giant bubbles. The highlight was the planetarium show—I felt like I was flying through space, surrounded by stars and planets. It was incredible! There was even an ice room where I experienced minus temperatures—it was freezing, but so fun! The Nagoya City Science Museum made learning about science feel like a big, awesome adventure. The Science museum of Nagoya is a great place to check out if you’re visiting the city, especially if you have children. The entrance fee depends on your choices but you can do the museum, planetarium and any of the special exhibitions. However the planetarium experience is only in Japanese so I only did the museum. The museum displays are also just in Japanese but the audio guide is very helpful! The museum is separated by theme and there are lots of interactive exhibits on each floor. The highlight for me being the tornado simulator and the huge model railway - highlighting the different transport infrastructure of Nagoya. Follow the escalators up and go floor by floor, then get the glass lift down as it offers a great views of the surrounding area. The Nagoya science city museum is 7 levels of varied and dynamic museum exhibits with lots of interactive exhibitions. It is very informative and factful with signs to read and a really, really amazing planetarium. And its seems to be quite popular with domestic crowd. Lots of families with kids and people of all ages. It can be quite busy on the day, so it's best to get tickets in advance. Because at the venue I saw a long que of people buying tickets. I also like the central location, which makes it easy to get to. There's something here for everyone, whether you are a child, adult or a just interested in science in general. #nagoyatrip A wonderful experience. This museum can be both an absolute source of joy and an opportunity for learning for children. Floors 2 to 6 are full of experiments and contraptions designed to explain basic scientific theories while demonstrating real life examples and applications. The exhibition starts with hydraulics, then common electrical and mechanical theories, then comes the waves, and lastly basics of human bodies. The place is so crowded, and each child is having so much fun enjoying science that it’s hard to believe that they are actually learning science which was supposed to be difficult. There is even a train simulator where you can run and control like a real train driver, and it’s an added bonus. If you have interest in science, then it’s highly recommended. If you do not have interest in scientific theories, still it’s recommended as a fun place.
