The Book of Nature: Tracing Time in Osaka
Day 1
In the early morning, I briskly walked to the Osaka Museum of Natural History, located within Nagai Park. This museum is renowned for its extensive natural science exhibits. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by the spectacular dinosaur skeletons, which seemed to transport me back to the prehistoric world. I slowly explored the timeline corridor, which vividly recreated the formation of the Earth and the evolution of life through exquisite models and interactive displays. The special exhibition on the natural environment of the Osaka area fascinated me the most, showcasing local plants, animals, and ecosystems, giving me a deeper understanding of nature. Around noon, I took a break at the museum's café, enjoying a cup of rich hand-brewed coffee while overlooking the scenic Nagai Park, feeling particularly joyful. In the afternoon, I strolled through Nagai Park, enjoying the lush greenery and the sounds of birds and flowers, and visited the park's greenhouse to admire exotic plants from around the world, concluding a day filled with knowledge and beauty.
Day 2
On the second day, I chose to return to Nagai Park to further explore this urban natural oasis. The morning sunlight bathed the park, and I jogged along the park's track, feeling the fresh air and morning energy. Afterwards, I returned to the Osaka Museum of Natural History to attend a special lecture on climate change, where the professional explanations deepened my understanding of the importance of environmental protection. After lunch, I visited the museum's children's interactive area, which, although designed for kids, also captivated adults with its hands-on models and fun experimental activities. In the afternoon, I quietly read a natural science book purchased from the museum shop, immersing myself in the pages as if I were back in the exhibition hall. As evening approached, I bid farewell to the museum and took a walk in Nagai Park under the sunset, marking the end of a journey filled with nature and culture.
