#sydneytrip Friendly staff and it's free. The collection is small, it's more an art gallery with temporary exhibitions than a museum. The exhibition I saw, "Just not Australian", was really interesting.There also Movies play here everyday which showcases a lot more than the museum itself. Recommended when you are out of options but want to go somewhere in the city.

#Sydney travel destination I highly recommend visiting when you travel to Sydney. I went in without a reservation on a weekday. It was a very informative museum where you can learn about the lives and lands of the indigenous people who have lived in Australia for tens of thousands of years, and the deep history of conflicts with immigrants. You won’t be able to miss this landmark when in Sunday, and the curators did an amazing job with such collection. I appreciated three pieces by a contemporary aboriginal artist located on the first floor, their vision of the first Fleet coming to Sydney. There are some interactive rooms as well.
