📍Location: 1 Uchiyama, Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture
🕰️Opening hours: 10:00-16:00
💰Price per person: 2,500 yen
🏖️Atmosphere/facilities: This is a theme park that relocates and displays buildings from the Meiji era. The site area is very large, making it the third largest theme park in Japan. Because there are many historical buildings, they are frequently used as motifs for drama filming and anime, and there are many buildings that you will have seen somewhere before.
💞Reasons why we recommend it: All the buildings in the park have been maintained by relocating actual buildings, so you can feel the atmosphere of each era. It is so large that we recommend taking a whole day to explore it carefully.

The trendiest thing is this big Buddha wearing sunglasses, he really wears sunglasses...
Sunglasses Buddha, Aichi Prefecture, Japan
Red sunglasses are so cool. "The trendiest Buddha in history."
Address: In Aichi Prefecture, sunglasses refer to the traffic lights at the railway crossing Under a specific angle, the big Buddha in the distance really seems to be wearing a pair of glasses, forming the spectacle of the "big Buddha with sunglasses". So the locals still affectionately call it "Sunglasses Buddha".
[Chin] Because the location of the photo is on the ordinary level crossing near the Big Buddha, next to the road, please pay attention to safety when taking pictures ~
The Great Buddha is the largest Buddha statue owned by an individual. At first Mr. Nobuhide Maeda, who founded the acupuncture clinic, decided to build the Great Buddha in order to help people get rid of the pain of the disease. Many patients came here to pay their respects. Everyone came to pay homage with reverence.

#nagoyatrip Be sure to schedule a full day to enjoy what this place has to offer. Bring snacks too - while there are cafes and vending machines throughout the area, it'll be easier to relax and secure your seat since there are a lot of people exploring. Especially during the weekends!
I suggest to start off with the farthest site- Frank Lloyd Wright's work on the Imperial Hotel. There's a cafe inside and lots of areas to explore. From there, one can spend about 10-12p minutes per site - some would have informative tours so keep your eyes peeled for their schedules!
This place isn't that friendly for wheelchair access - the toilets are far too narrow but at least they are spread along the area for people to be comfortable.
Some sites are properly cared for while some have been haphazardly painted for aesthetic reasons. Still, enjoy exploring the sites authentic place ha s a lot to offer.

Meiji-mura (博物館明治村, Hakubutsukan Meiji-mura, "Meiji Village Museum") is an open-air architectural museum/theme park in Inuyama, near Nagoya in Aichi prefecture, Japan. It was opened on March 18, 1965. The museum preserves historic buildings from Japan's Meiji (1867–1912), Taisho (1912–1926), and early Shōwa (1926–1989) periods. Over 60 historical buildings have been moved and reconstructed onto 1 square kilometre (250 acres) of rolling hills alongside Lake Iruka. The most noteworthy building there is the reconstructed main entrance and lobby of Frank Lloyd Wright's landmark Imperial Hotel, which originally stood in Tokyo from 1923 to 1967, when the main structure was demolished to make way for a new, larger version of the hotel.
