Getting There - a bit of a drive but nothing drastic Attractions - just sick water We rented a car so we had a bit easier access to reach this location from our hotel in downtown Portland. however, it is no more than 30 minutes away so even an Uber could be a reasonable way to get here. well worth the view, I didn’t know there was also a hike you could do too though and do to the weather we decided not to. if you decide to go, and want to do the hike, make sure you are prepared for it! also if you go on a rainy day make sure to bring a wind breaker, poncho, and umbrella to stay as dry as possible when visiting this gorgeous waterfall.

I definitely recommend the hike upto the top as well. Get there early if you want to get parking. Walk upto the bridge for best views! It also has cool gift shops for getting souveniers.

#FallTravel I don't go to parks and travel in orange and September. I visited Alo Going to **Meltnomah Falls** in Oregon in the fall was an amazing experience 🍂. The falls flow from the mountains surrounded by trees whose leaves turned warm orange 🍁. The scene was like a fairy tale with the fall nature flowing into the falls. The cool and fresh fall air added a charming feeling while walking through the surrounding corridors 🌿. The famous bridge over the falls gave me a great view of the water and fallen leaves 🌉. **Meltnomah Falls** in the fall was a wonderful combination of the power of nature and calm beauty 🍂.

In addition to the most famous Multnomah Falls, I would like to recommend a few waterfalls around Portland that can be visited on the same day, are suitable for all seasons, and are very beautiful for everyone. 1 Multnomah Falls (Figure 2-4) is located half an hour from downtown Portland and attracts many tourists on weekends. It is recommended to go to the waterfall early. It is located next to the parking lot and does not require hiking if you climb to the source of the waterfall for a one-way distance of 2.3 miles and a round-trip time of 3-4 hours

Getting There - You need to get to the gateway transit center which is about 20 minutes from downtown Portland on the metro. Once there pre book tickets from the website as there’s no wifi close by, it was around $15 for a return bus ticket. Once at the gateway transit look for “Columbia gorge express” it was located at the front of the bus line up when I went. Board and takes you right outside the falls. Attractions - The falls itself are breathtaking. They have walks for all capabilities, whether you want to hike to the top or just stay and admired the waterfall from the bottom. The location is great and not too full of tourists so makes it easier to get around. Hotels - I didn’t see any near by hotels. However I stayed in Portland center and was able to get to the falls so easily. You could even Uber there for under $30 one way Food & Restaurants - Located right outside the falls is the “Multnomah Lodge” with a rustic style restaurant. Prices were great considering the location it was in and no competition near by. I got the club sandwich and was very satisfied. Shopping - The Falls are located in the middle of nowhere the only shop is the gift shop right outside where you will find your usual bits and pieces and a small snack stand outside so come prepared if you want more than that.

The itinerary at that time was mainly for relaxation, introducing several scenic spots. Crater Lake National Park Oregon's only national park, Before June, it was not fully open. When we went, we encountered heavy fog in the afternoon. The fog really affects a lot 😭. Multnomah Falls Between Seattle and Portland. Many people are taking photos, From below, walk a short distance to reach the bridge and see the waterfall. Smith Rock Personally, I think it's just average. Need to go mountain climbing 🧗‍♀️. When I went there, I saw many rock climbing enthusiasts climbing. But if you are not a rock climbing enthusiast and have limited time, This attraction can be skipped.

We traveled from Vermont to Oregon for a wedding, but had a couple days to take in the sights. Multnomah Falls is a great place to take the family for a lovely view and a short easy walk. Our party included some elderly and handicapped folks so this was a perfect way for all of us to get up close to a spectacular waterfall. We thoroughly enjoyed the short easy hike and picked up a few mementos from the gift shop to bring home.
