In the morning, you might even witness a sea of clouds! 📍Shiude Mountain Observatory, Kagawa Prefecture At Shiude Mountain in Kagawa Prefecture, you can simultaneously enjoy the beauty of hydrangeas and the spectacular views of the Seto Inland Sea. From the observatory at the summit, the contrast between the vibrant hydrangeas and the blue sea below is truly moving! If you visit early in the morning, you might be greeted by a sea of clouds. Access is most convenient by car, but be cautious as the mountain roads are narrow. However, the scenery you’ll encounter will make you feel it was well worth the trip.

Mt. Shiude in Kagawa gave me a breathtaking moment—sakura in full bloom cascading down the slopes, with the Seto Inland Sea glittering in the background. The view from the summit felt like a painting: pink blossoms melting into a sea of blue. As the breeze whispered through the petals, time stood still. In addition to the cherry blossom forest at the summit of Shiunzan, there are observation decks near two parking lots. After parking, you can immediately enjoy the unexpected beauty of cherry blossoms and the ocean view.
