Check in at Izu Oshima and the city of Kinosaki, it's definitely worth it!
Eastern Izu Day Trip Guide
1. Scenic Spot Features
🎈 Oshima
After the eruption of Oshima about 4,000 years ago, a gap was left in the center, and the top of the mountain, which resembles a matcha cake, is stunning. This is a location for the film "Your Name", and it's a great place to take photos.
- After climbing the mountain, you can buy a rice dumpling and eat it while walking. From the top of the mountain, you can overlook the entire eastern Izu, and the view of the blue and green is breathtaking.
- Cable car tickets and opening hours: Adults 550 yen, children 250 yen. March - September 9:00 - 17:00, October - February 9:00 - 16:00. The cable car takes six minutes to reach the top, and there is a photo shoot on the way. You can purchase the photo for 1200 yen.
🎈 Cactus Zoo
Located opposite Oshima, it is a semi-open park where you can get close to small animals. Among them, capybaras are super popular.
- Tickets and opening hours: 2800 yen/adult, 90% off with Oshima ticket. Opening hours are 9:00 - 17:00.
- Featured performances: Animal behavior performances, monkeys, dogs, parrots, etc. will perform various interesting behaviors. Small animals show off their unique skills and cuteness, and visitors can also see fun performances of humans and animals. In winter, there is also a capybara winter hot spring performance. From late November to early April, capybaras will take a hot spring in an open-air hot spring pool. Some lunar festivals will also be arranged to take a hot spring with grapefruit and apple, which will become a winter feature.
🎈 Kinosaki Coast
The lava that flowed out of Oshima's eruption formed strangely shaped reefs.
- Route: There are two routes to get there, a walking route and a forest route. The forest route takes 15 minutes to reach, and the downhill return is more energy-saving.
- Scenery: The blue sea and sky along the coast are breathtaking. Admission is free, and it is recommended to visit for about 1 hour.
- Kadowaki Suspension Bridge: The suspension bridge is 48m long and 23m high. The sea is rough under your feet, and the view from the bridge is magnificent. It is very popular for photos.
🎈 Atami Castle
Atami Castle has 6 floors, the highest of which is the Tenshukaku, which is mainly used for sightseeing. Take the cable car to reach the top of Mt. Hakone, and from Atami Castle, you can have a 360-degree view of the entire coastal city. Atami Castle is also the best place to watch the Atami Sea Fireworks Festival.
- Tickets and cable car prices: Tickets 1100 yen, cable car one-way ticket 400 yen.
2. Transportation Route
From Tokyo, take the JR Shinkansen for about 45 minutes to Atami, then transfer to the "Ito Line" to "Izukogen Station". After getting off, purchase an Izu Kogen Station bus pass for 800 yen. Take bus 170/172 to Izukogen Cactus Zoo Station, and take the cable car up and down Oshima (only cash). Take bus 180 from the foot of Oshima to "Izumi Ocean Park Station", and walk 15 minutes to Kinosaki Coast.
3. Itinerary Suggestion
11:00 - 13:00: Visit Oshima in "Your Name".
13:10 - 14:40: Go to the Cactus Zoo to see the capybaras.
15:00 - 16:00: Check in at Kadowaki Suspension Bridge and Kinosaki Coast.
16:10: Return to Tokyo, arrive at 19:30.
4. Small Suggestions
1. Buy a pass for the Izu Kyuko Line (1/2/3day pass) at Ito Station, and a bus pass for one day at Izukogen Station to save money and time.
2. Show your bus pass when purchasing cable car tickets at Oshima to enjoy a discount.
3. Choose the forest route when returning from Kinosaki Coast, as there are more downhill slopes, which are more energy-saving.
4. Remember to avoid Google Maps when navigating, and directly locate the Kinosaki Coast parking lot for convenience and speed.

Mt. Omuro is a magical mountain. It is an inactive volcano that changes colors throughout the season. During Summer, it is color green. During the cold seasons, it dries up and becomes brown. Visitors can ride a lift to go to the crater of Mt. Omuro, where they will be allowed to walk around it to gain a 360 degree view of the whole place. There are also snack stores and restaurants at the foot of it.

I love Omuroyama, the inspiration for the movie "Your Name," more than Mount Fuji.
I finally saw the Omuroyama I had been dreaming of.
You can look down at the sea from the top of the mountain, and the view is breathtaking.
On a clear day, the view is more beautiful than what a camera can capture.

Oomuroyama tourist attraction.
Visited Izu and checked in at Oomuroyama❗It's really as beautiful as in the comics, but it's not worth a special trip✅
1️⃣The queue for the cable car was long but moved quickly, about 20 minutes.
2️⃣Ladies, bring water, it's hot and you'll sweat a lot!
3️⃣It takes about 20 minutes to walk around the top of the mountain. The view from the top is really beautiful, like a huge matcha ice cream, very easy on the eyes.

Mount Omuro, Izu | Japan's Matcha Mountain.
🏔️ Mount Omuro | Break into Miyazaki Hayao's Matcha Summer🍃 Use one day to see the mountains and sea of Izu ||💯 Mount Omuro, Izu Nanny Guide, 💬 Many recommendations from [Ito Station] to get off, but the bus ride to Mount Omuro takes about 1 hour, I personally prefer a shorter bus ride, so I chose to go back and forth from [Izukogen Station], at the same time [Ito Station] There are many tourists who get off, and there will be fewer people at [Izukogen Station].
It is highly recommended to visit on [working days], there are many people on weekends, and everyone doesn't want to queue wherever they go⁉️
🏃🏻 Hiking a circle + taking photos + rest basically takes about 1 hour (don't believe the special forces guide, 20 minutes is really not enough), I personally think Mount Omuro is worth a visit, of course, if the weather is bad (🌫️ rainy and foggy days/windy days🌪️) the experience may be different, it is recommended to check the weather in advance, try to choose ☀️ sunny/cloudy🌤️ weather to go.
Mount Omuro⛰️The prototype scene of the meteorite crater in Makoto Shinkai's "Your Name", the title of Matcha Pudding Mountain can be said to be completely appropriate. The beautiful and dreamy Mount Omuro on a sunny day, the back of the mountain is the boundless blue sky and sea and Kizaki Coast, the cable car ride up the mountain is about 1 kilometer without going around a week, it is enough to visit for an hour, stop anywhere is a beautiful frame in the movie.
🥲 Hiking a circle around Mount Omuro is not all flat, it is a bit tiring to walk a circle, especially a slope like climbing the Great Wall. But standing on the top of the mountain and looking at the sea of Izu in the distance, even the weather is good to see Mount Fuji, plus a little breeze on the mountain, everything is worth it. Photos can't really capture the beauty of Mount Omuro (need aerial photography angle), absolutely not as shocking as you personally standing on it.
🍡Finally, you can try the skewered dumplings at the entrance, which are very delicious and not hard or stiff, they are as soft and glutinous as Ningbo rice cakes, I personally like them.🎀

The mountain is full of green, 🌴 like a super cute matcha cake. ☀️ Friends visiting Izu must check in here, 📸 the moment you take the cable car up the mountain is incredibly healing ❤️🔥
❣️ The highlight of the entire summer 🏟️
Is nothing more than overlooking the entire Ito coastline from the top of Omuroyama, it really looks like a manga! 🌇
It feels like you are in a manga! 🌸

Five-day tour around Tokyo and Izu, stepping into the real-life version of Zelda
The recent exchange rate is so favorable for visiting Japan! This trip is a leisurely tour around Tokyo and Izu,
📍Itinerary
D1: Departure—Shinjuku
D2: One-day shopping in Shinjuku, purchasing the best specialty of the trip—👓glasses! The price of Jins is basically 1/3 of that in China, and you can get the default 1.67 thickness on the same day, but it takes seven days to get them thinned and mailed.
D3: Panoramic Park - Shuzenji - Kinosaki Coast
D4: Omuroyama - Cactus Animal Park
D5: Return to Tokyo, continue shopping at the drugstore 🛍️
🌟Top Recommendation
The most unforgettable part of this trip was the hot spring hotel in Izu, Akazawa Onsen Hotel. If possible, I would love to stay there for a month, soaking in the hot spring while facing the sea is so comfortable!
I had a very satisfying bowl of salmon donburi there, and there was a sashimi buffet for breakfast, a sheer delight for raw fish lovers.
🫠Broken Memories
People who are afraid of heights are scared to death on Mount Omuro; although the view from the top is beautiful, the feeling of looking back down to the foot of the mountain is really terrifying 😱. However, for those who are not afraid of heights, I highly recommend this matcha mountain, it's very photogenic! It looks like a scene from Zelda, with an archery range nestled in the mountain hollows, and a red house halfway up the mountain that's very picturesque, just like in an animated film—

Mount Omuro - A location featured in 'Your Name'
"It is precisely because it will disappear that I want to create a town warm enough to touch people's hearts, even if it only exists in memory." — Taki Tachibana, 'Your Name'
If such a town existed, building it on the summit of Mount Omuro would be the most beautiful. Strolling on the summit of Mount Omuro, with mountains on one side and the sea on the other, the greenery of the matcha mountains and the vastness of the Pacific Ocean are all in view, as if you are in a Hayao Miyazaki anime.
This time, because I had a car, I went to both Mount Omuro and Mount Komuro.
The scenery of the two mountains is indeed very similar, but on Mount Komuro you can see the complete 'matcha milk cap', and there is no need to queue for the Mount Komuro cable car, while you have to queue for about half an hour for Mount Omuro. So it depends on how you arrange your time.
Izu also has the famous Kinosaki Coast, where there is a ten-kilometer coastal walking route. If you have enough time, you can spend several days in Izu enjoying the beautiful scenery and secluded spots.

Small and cozy VOLCANO. Mountain Omuro is a real volcano that you can climb for 1000 yen. Astonishing views on the sea and settlements around are guaranteed. It takes around 20 min to walk around the "pit" and take pictures. An attraction is located near Izu Shaboten Park/Zoo and is totally worth your attention. #volcano #izukogen #ito #japan

National Natural Monument! Mount Omuro!
Mount Omuro, a scenic spot in Izu, is a national natural monument.
The silhouette resembling an upside-down bowl with a 1km crater to explore is a feature, and the crater tour is enjoyable🎵 On clear days, you can also see Mount Fuji, the Izu Seven Islands, and more.
Be aware that the lift to the crater can have a long queue!
It's simply walking on a vast green land, but it's fun, so please enjoy the crater tour🎵

Your name check-in location - Omuroyama
Visiting Japan, you definitely shouldn't miss the great place that is Omuroyama. Fans of 'Your Name' must long for this place, located on the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. It represents Japan's volcanic scoria cones and is a 'nationally designated natural monument', as well as a filming location for the movie 'Your Name'. Omuroyama has a conical shape and is a dormant volcano with an interesting appearance. The slope is relatively gentle, and its altitude is 580 meters. You can reach the summit by cable car, where the circular mountain path is completely unobstructed, offering views of buildings in Ito City and the Pacific Ocean. On clear days, you can also see Mount Fuji and Izu Oshima from the top of Omuroyama. On good days, you can even see Mount Fuji

Checking in at Omuroyama, the prototype of 'Your Name'
Today I went to Omuroyama in the Izu Highlands of Japan to see the prototype location of 'Your Name'. I set off from Atami, there are two limited edition trains specially for viewing the sea scenery, the Black Ship Electric Train and the Golden Eye Bream Train are definitely worth a ride, they're super cool.
After arriving at the Izu Highlands, take the public bus, there is a one-day pass discount ticket available for purchase, but remember, it's closed on Wednesdays, there's none for sale. Take the bus to the entrance of Omuroyama, buy a cable car ticket for 1,000 yen, and you can take the cable car up to take pictures. It's really beautiful and photogenic. If the weather is good, you'll see Mount Fuji in the distance. There are nice souvenir shops on the mountain and at the foot of the mountain to browse, and there's a stamp check-in at the top of the mountain.
Also, I don't recommend checking in at the Kinosaki Coastal Suspension Bridge, haha.

A day trip to Izu Kogen
The famous places in Izu Kogen are Omuroyama and Jōgasaki Coast. Omuroyama and Mount Fuji have the same charm, both are conical, and they look like wonderful hills that only appear in paintings. The 580-meter-high Omuroyama is made up of debris after the volcanic eruption.
Jōgasaki Coast was formed by the lava that flowed out when Omuroyama volcano erupted about 4000 years ago. You can take a walk along the coastline of about 9km. In particular, the "Monet Suspension Bridge" with a total length of 48m and a height of about 23m is a thrilling and breathtaking spot. From the observatory of the "Monet Lighthouse" where you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view, you can overlook the Izu Seven Islands and Amagi Ranges.
I plan to go to Omuroyama first, then to Jōgasaki Coast.
Take the Shinkansen from Tokyo Shinagawa Station to Atami (ticket price is more than 3700 yen), note that you need to take the KOTAMA number, other cars do not stop in Atami. After getting off at Atami, transfer to the Izu Express, get off at Izu Kogen Station, and there is a bus to Omuroyama Ropeway Station in front of the station (ticket price is 680 yen). There is no admission fee for Omuroyama, but you can only take a round-trip cable car up the mountain for 1000 yen per person. After reaching the top of the mountain, you can go down the mountain after walking around the crater. Then take the bus back to Izu Kogen Station, take the Izu Express back to Atami to Jōgasaki Coast Station, you can take the bus to the entrance of the suspension bridge after getting off. Because there are not many bus schedules, I walked there, navigated with Gaode map, and it took about half an hour. The coast is downhill, and the return is uphill. If you can't walk far, it is recommended to take the bus. There is a bus schedule at the station.
After visiting Jōgasaki Coast, take the Izu Express back to Atami, and then go wherever you want. I am going to Gotemba, and I will leave my luggage at Atami Station first. After picking up my luggage, I will take the train to Numazu, and then transfer to Gotemba.

Shizuoka Izu one-day tour
Finally arranged it, I have been wanting to come and play, but never got the chance. Finally came this time.
There are too many places to play, so let's arrange Izu first this time. The main purpose of this trip is to go to...
Izu Shaboten Animal Park (Izu Cactus Zoo)
Dashishan
Izu Granpal Park
Jōsaki Beach
A full day's itinerary, most looking forward to is Mount Dashan, one of the filming locations for "Your Name".
But we came in the wrong season and didn't see the green matcha mountains. I suggest coming in the summer, you will definitely be amazed. I will definitely come back in July or August, wait for me~~

My favorite place is Izu Plateau.
Izu Kogen Cherry Blossom Viewing: Mount Oomuro Chapter
At the end of March, the cherry blossoms 🌸 in Izu Highland are especially beautiful!
In Japan, this is a famous cherry blossom site that everyone knows!
Starting from mid-February, the cherry blossoms near the station gradually begin to bloom. In late March and early April, the Yoshino cherry trees on both sides of the 3-kilometer-long road form a cherry blossom tunnel, which is especially beautiful!
Izu-Kyuko train's Izu-Kogen station is just a 2-minute walk away! Don't miss it!

This green crater is like a bitten matcha pudding, here is the film [your name] location.
Omuroyama is located in Omuroyama, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. It is 580 meters above sea level and is conical. It is formed after the eruption of the volcano. The center of the crater is an archery field. I am lucky. I also saw Mount Fuji on the mountain. I can stand on the top of the mountain and overlook the beauty of Izu! There are cable cars to and from the mountains. It is very comfortable and swaying. You can bring pets. There are so many dogs on the mountain that are happy to fly.
In order to make the grass grow stronger, there is a mountain burning activity every year, so if you just hit the mountain, you will be disappointed. It is a piece of yellow baldness. I suggest you go to 5.6.7 months and you will meet the most beautiful green!
Address: 413-0235 Shizuoka Ito Tomi 1317-5
ticket + shuttle bus: 500 yen
traffic: JR Izu Kogen Station, the bus to the cactus park After getting off the bus, it is the big room mountain.

Dawushan is 580 meters above sea level. Its shape is like a pudding, a bit cute. The top of the conical shape is formed after the eruption of the volcano, leaving a concave large round pit with a depth of 70 meters. From the foot of the mountain, you can take the cable car up the mountain and walk around the top of the mountain for about one kilometer. The
climbing cable car is an open-type chair that is carefully dropped when you board.
Da Miaoshan usually sees beautiful flowers and is covered in green. But in February every year, there was a ritual burning ceremony, and the big mountain that I saw later was bare.
From the top of the mountain, you can see the Izu Seven Islands and the Boso Peninsula. If you have high visibility, you can see Mount Fuji. There is a shrine, souvenir shop, restaurant in the top of the
, there is an archery field inside the big round pit, you can play archery.
Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture, 1317-5
9:00~ The last class of the Peak Station 17
deany.
I have read the introduction and know that there is a green skull-shaped extinct volcano in Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture. It is called Muroyama and is the most important natural attraction of the Izu Plateau. It is made up of crumbs after the eruption of the volcano. Like Mount Fuji, it is a symmetrical, perfect cone. It is a bit like a yellow, yellow, green and green hoe.
