There are 18 Komagatake in Japan. Two of them, Kai Komagatake and Kiso Komagatake, are located in the Japanese Alps. They are located in the east and west of the mountain. Kiso Komagatake, located in the west, is relatively close to the public. There is a cable car station from Shirahidaira Station at the foot of the mountain to Senjoshiki Station, the highest cable car station in Japan.
