MOXY BANGKOK RATCHAPRASONG…inviting you to sleep in a lifestyle hotel
For hotel lovers and frequent travelers in Europe, you must be familiar with the name MOXY Hotels, part of the Marriott chain, which has joined the Marriott Bonvoy hotel promotion. This hotel breaks the old rules and becomes more chic and modern, with check-in at the bar, creating a large common area, and a fun, playable, and Instagrammable lifestyle for everyone to fully enjoy. Now, MOXY has opened its first location in Thailand at Ratchaprasong Intersection, which is connected to both famous shopping malls and the BTS. I couldn't resist going to try it out and take you to see it, because it's not just a hotel, but also a restaurant and bar where you can relax with friends.
The hotel has a check-in lobby on the 9th floor of The Market Ratchaprasong. There is a separate glass elevator for us to go up from R-Walk and the parking lot directly. This lobby floor is a large common area that runs the entire floor. We can check in at the MOXY bar, a large and stylish bar inspired by the classic ska cinema, with old-fashioned Pop-Paek ice cream that changes flavors every now and then instead of a welcome drink.
MOXY's rooms here have up to 504 rooms, with both double-occupancy and Bunk Bed rooms that can sleep three people. (Each bed has a variety of charging ports for convenient use.) The standard room focuses on designing for functionality to maximize space. The furniture is foldable, with hangers in normal-sized rooms instead of cabinets. Or if you want a large room with a living room with a beautiful view, there are options to choose from.
Let's start with the central area, the highlight of this place. The central area next to the lobby has many sofas, pool tables, and air hockey tables for free play, as well as Jenga and board games. Create a central area for relaxing with a beautiful city view. Continue to the Library & Plug-in for reading books, working, including a meeting room that can be converted into a ping-pong table immediately. And a fitness center with boxing gloves and a bright pink target, with an outdoor artificial grass area with bean bags for us to lie down and relax. The building will turn on the lights running back and forth like waves, creating an atmosphere at night.
The 'restaurant and bar' here has All Day Dining, a fusion style, both main dishes and Bites. They currently have a Munch & Match promotion (food + drink). I recommend coming to relax comfortably. For dinner, I came to try many delicious menus that you shouldn’t miss, such as ‘Cat or Fish’, dry-aged catfish before grilling, served with sweet fish sauce-like sauce, perfect with rice and salad; ‘Cheesey Chubby’, Pulled Pork made from pork belly, made into tortillas topped with cheese, a cool idea; ‘Fisherman’s Friend’, a fish burger with homemade dill tartar, served with Cajun Fries or snacks like ‘Skinny Dip’ with a special BBQ sauce, very good. There are also signature cocktails with good ideas to try (I really like their menu design, it’s a beautiful line drawing instead of a picture. I heard that the staff draws it themselves, they are very talented).
‘Breakfast’, we will eat in the same dining room as dinner. There are various food stations, such as egg, pancake, waffle, coldcut, noodles, and there are also surprises every day that are different. For example, on the day I slept, there was fried chicken satay, crispy fried roti and delicious pickled vegetables. Another impressive point is that they have iced tea that you can press as much as you want. So cool. They also have Grab & Go so you can easily go anywhere.
For those who want to change their place of sleep to relax in the city with chic accommodation that meets the lifestyle of the new generation, after shopping, you can stop by to stay. This is the perfect answer. (They have lockers for you to drop your stuff off and then go back down to shop.) Plus, there is a chic common area. You can come and chill with your friends.
I'll tell you a secret for social media users. If we come here and tag MoxyHotels' IG with #AtTheMOXY, we might get to show up on MOXY's Guestbook Wall all over the world.
