Trip to Hobart, Australia 🇦🇺
It was a weekend getaway to Hobart (Tasmania), Australia with my partner. We started our Hobart adventure with a visit to the iconic Salamanca Market, open every Saturday. The vibrant atmosphere, local artisans, and street performers made it perfect for photos 📸 The stalls filled with handmade crafts, fresh produce 🍎 and unique souvenirs 🎁 were a treat to explore. We recommend going early to beat the crowds and get the best light for photos.
📍Salamanca Place, Hobart TAS 7000
After the market, we explored the Battery Point area, a picturesque historic district. Wandering through the quaint streets felt like stepping back in time. Arthur Circus Park, with its charming cottages, is a must-visit for photography enthusiasts.
📍Battery Point, Hobart TAS 7004
As the day turned golden, we headed to the Waterfront Esplanade. Watching the sunset over the Derwent River was magical. The reflections of boats 🛥️ in the water created stunning photo opportunities. We dined at one of the seafood 🦞 restaurants nearby to end the day perfectly.
📍Hobart Waterfront, Franklin Wharf, Hobart TAS 7000
We also visited to Mount Wellington (Kunanyi) 🏔️ The summit offers breathtaking panoramic views of Hobart, the River Derwent, and beyond. We recommend going early in the morning when the light is soft and the skies are clearer for photography 📸 P/S: Bring a jacket🧥 as it can get quite chilly up there!
📍Pinnacle Road, Wellington Park TAS 7054
We also explored Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens. The gardens are beautifully landscaped, and we loved photographing the Japanese Garden and the lily pond. It’s such a peaceful spot to unwind and take stunning nature shots.
📍 Lower Domain Rd, Queens Domain TAS 7000
We ended our trip with a visit to MONA (Museum of Old and New Art). It’s unlike any museum we’ve ever been to. The unique architecture and thought-provoking exhibits make it a top spot for both art lovers and Instagram-worthy photos 📸 Plan to take the ferry for an extra scenic touch.
📍655 Main Rd, Berriedale TAS 7011
🌦️Hobart’s weather can change quickly, so dress in layers and check forecasts.

A Scenic Ascent to Wellington's Peak
Driving up to Mount Wellington, Hobart’s iconic peak, was an unforgettable experience. The winding road, carved into the mountainside, offered breathtaking panoramic views of the city and surrounding countryside. As I ascended, the landscape transformed, revealing lush rainforests, cascading waterfalls, and rugged rock formations.
The journey was a mix of adrenaline-pumping curves and serene stretches. The changing weather added to the adventure, with sun-drenched vistas alternating with misty peaks. The summit, a plateau covered in native vegetation, offered a sense of tranquility and awe. Despite the chilly wind, I couldn’t resist taking a leisurely stroll, savoring the panoramic views of the city, the harbor, and the distant mountains.
One of the highlights was the opportunity to explore the various walking trails around the summit. The options ranged from short, easy strolls to challenging hikes, catering to different fitness levels and interests. I chose a moderate trail that led to a lookout point with stunning views of the D'Entrecasteaux Channel. The walk was invigorating, and the reward was breathtaking.
After my hike, I decided to have lunch at one of the summit’s cafes. The food was delicious, and the views from the outdoor seating area were simply spectacular. As I enjoyed my meal, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to experience such natural beauty.
Descending the mountain was a different kind of adventure. The road was steep and winding, but the views were just as impressive as on the way up. I took my time, stopping at various viewpoints to admire the scenery. As I approached the city, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.
Driving up to Mount Wellington was more than just a scenic journey; it was an unforgettable experience that allowed me to connect with the natural beauty of Tasmania. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or simply looking for a scenic drive, Mount Wellington is a must-visit destination.

Tasmania is underrated! (part 1)
These photos were taken at Mount Wellington, Hobart, Tasmania.
Not many of my friends had been to Tasmania, and I must say that Tasmania is underrated. To those to who have been to Tasmania, I believe most would be talking about the peace and beauty that you’ll be able to see in Tasmania. It was my 2nd time there, honestly there wasn’t a lot of tourists. It was actually nice not having that many tourists because it means that you get to take nice pictures everywhere you go since it’s not that crowded hahaha!
I’ll totally recommend Tasmania if anyone is planning to go to Melbourne! The additional flight there will be totally worth your time :’)
