Mount Rushmore
#usatrip Mount Rushmore is a famous monumental sculpture carved into the granite face of Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills of South Dakota, USA. It features the 60-foot-tall heads of four U.S. presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.
The monument was designed by sculptor Gutzon Borglum and completed by his son, Lincoln Borglum, after Gutzon's death. Construction began in 1927 and was completed in 1941.
