It is the southernmost point of the Northern Alps and is known as the easiest 3000m mountain to climb. If you take the bus to Tatamidaira, you are just below the summit. It was like a door to anywhere!
However, since I was there, I started climbing from Sanbontaki, the bus starting point.
As I climbed along the bus route, the summit and the Northern Alps gradually came into view.
Some people were enjoying skiing on the snowfields.
There were a lot of people near the summit as I joined the bus passengers.
💞Reasons why I recommend it: The views are stunning no matter where you look, and it's one of the places every Japanese person should visit at least once!

Grateful for the blessings of nature
This summer I tried to reach the summit of Mt. Norikura for the first time.
The weather was great and the temperature was quite different from that on the ground, so it was very comfortable. The sunrise was beautiful, but at night I was able to see a starry sky. It was a trip that moved me by the wonder of nature.
It was my first time climbing a mountain, but I managed to make it to the summit safely. Since the COVID-19 pandemic ended, I've been dying to travel abroad again, but I realized that Japan is still worth it. I realized that mountains have their own beauty, and the sea has its own charm. #Mt.Norikura #0yentrip

Mount Norikura: 3,000m high mountain that is easy to climb and has a short walking distance
The easiest 3,000-meter mountain to conquer
Mount Norikura is located at the southern end of the Northern Japan Alps and consists of 23 mountains, the highest of which is Kenpo (3,026 meters). There are 20 peaks in the Japanese Alps that are over 3,000 meters above sea level, and conquering these mountains requires certain mountaineering experience, equipment and physical strength.
However, the peak of Norikura-dake, Kenpo, is a 3,000-meter-high mountain that is famous for being easy to climb. Even elementary school children can easily conquer it because the trailhead is located at an altitude of 2,702 meters and can be reached by bus, which makes it easier for climbers and shortens the walking distance a lot.

White snow corridor - Norikura Plateau
If you want to see the snow corridor in Nagano Prefecture, in addition to Tateyama Kurobe, another good choice is the "Norikura Plateau" on the border of Nagano Prefecture and Gifu Prefecture. The highest point of Norikura Plateau is 3,000 meters above sea level, and you can reach 2,700 meters by car. However, if you want to challenge the top of the mountain, you still need to make preparations in advance.
In fact, in addition to the snow corridor, Norikura Plateau is suitable for visiting in any season because there will be different scenery in each season, such as red leaves all over the mountains in autumn, colorful flowers in spring, and the snow corridor can be seen near the top of the mountain.
This trip also covered both Norikura Plateau and Tateyama Kurobe, but in comparison, Norikura Plateau had fewer tourists and, because of this, less pollution, and the snow in the Snow Corridor was whiter and cleaner.
In addition, friends who love self-driving should also note that private vehicles are not allowed to enter from July to October each year. However, in order to preserve such a beautiful environment, these measures are still necessary, and if you go there at this time, you will definitely be able to feel the fresh mountain scent.
