[Mount Jinba] Mount Jinba is recommended for day hikes⛰️
Mount Jimba straddles Hachioji City, Tokyo and Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. I climbed it on a fine day the other day. The mountain has an elevation of 857m, and even a beginner like me was able to reach the top. I started on foot from Fujino Station on the JR Chuo Line and started at the Mount Jimba trailhead at 9am. With breaks in between, I reached the summit of Mount Jimba in about two hours. After a leisurely rest at the summit, I returned on the route to Sagamiko Station. It took nearly three hours to descend. Mount Jimba's natural environment is well-preserved, and a variety of plants and animals can be seen. There are multiple hiking trails, so it can be enjoyed by beginners and advanced climbers alike. The trail I used had no dangerous spots, so I was able to climb with peace of mind. There is also a campsite on the way up the mountain, where you can enjoy outdoor activities. The view from the summit is wonderful, and on a clear day you can see Mount Fuji, Yatsugatake, and the Kanto Plain. I highly recommend it, so please visit. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 📍Spot name: Mount Jinba🚃You can access the trailhead by bus from JR Hachioji Station, Fujino Station, or Keio Hachioji Station.
