Beautiful night view at Hakodate
As one of the world's three most beautiful night scenes, the night view of Mount Hakodate is truly worthy of the name. In the snowy snow of Hokkaido, there is a shimmering light, and there are small streets and alleys at night, and vending machines that never freeze. You must have a sprite in the place where there is snow.
Hakodate is the only mountain in Hakodate. It looks like a cow lying down, so it is also called Wagyu Mountain. There is an observatory on the top of the mountain. At night, in the middle of the sand neck, the street lights shining on the slender city street contrast with the dark sea. The oil lamp lit by the fishing boat of the inkfish is woven into a beautiful night view. The beauty of the night view of Hakodate lies in the two curved coastlines on both sides of the city. It is built in the sky and is rare in the world.
From the top of the mountain, the left side is Hakodate Port, and the right side is the endless Pacific Ocean. The two sides of the sea are spread out to the distance, and you can clearly see the whole city. When the lights are shining at night, the little lights of the stars become a point of painting, showing two beautiful arcs under the night, depicting a beautiful and elegant "the world's first night scene."

Address: Hakodateyama, Hakodate, Hokkaido 040-0000, Japan.
Highlights:
Perched atop Hokkaido's majestic Mt. Hakodate, the observatory offers a breathtaking vantage point to behold the city below. Ascending the mountain, I anticipated the awe-inspiring views awaiting me at its summit.
Arriving at the observatory, I was greeted by an expansive panorama: Hakodate's sprawling cityscape against the backdrop of the vast sea and distant mountains. It was a scene of unparalleled beauty, captivating my senses and stirring a sense of wonder.
As the sun began its descent, I witnessed a mesmerizing sunset from the observatory's heights. The sky ablaze with hues of orange and pink, it was a moment of serene beauty that etched itself into my memory.

Off-the-Beaten-Path Travel Guide to Hakodate, Hokkaido: Photography and Gourmet Tips
I flew to Sapporo with my roommate for the Spring Festival and then took the Hokuto line to Hakodate. Currently, Hakodate might have fewer direct flights from the mainland, and although there aren't many tourists or shopping districts, this small city is truly a hidden gem, perfect for those who dislike the hustle and bustle and want to relax for a few days.
🍔Food Recommendations
1. Seafood is very affordable. If you want to try seafood and sea urchin on rice, you can go to the morning market next to Sapporo Station, where many small shops sell super fresh products. p2.3
2. Opposite the morning market is the famous Lucky Pierrot burger joint, which was mentioned in the second season of the anime Crayon Shin-chan's Hokkaido special. However, after trying it, I found the curry rice to be incredibly delicious! The fried chicken in the burger is similar to Chinese-style fried chicken, slightly sweet. p4
3. Continue walking towards the sea and you'll find a place called Kaikouin that specializes in various huge seafood items. There's a giant live octopus at the entrance which is quite impressive. My roommate and I were already full from the burgers, so we couldn't eat much, but their seafood variety is probably the most extensive in Hakodate, with all kinds of crabs and shellfish available. I glanced at the prices through the glass and they seemed reasonable. However, they only open in the afternoon.
4. How can you visit Hakodate without trying the local specialty, salt ramen? There's a ramen shop across from Sapporo Station heading towards Goryokaku, where the staff knows some basic Chinese. p5.6
📸Photo Spot Recommendations
1. Hachiman-zaka slope, where you can walk to the top of the road and use a telephoto lens to capture a photo of the road leading straight to the sea. p7.8
2. Walk from the Red Brick Warehouse towards Mount Hakodate, and you'll pass by a Lucky Pierrot burger joint. You can lean on the railing of the parking lot to take photos. p9
3. The vending machine in front of the parking lot at Kaikouin, using a telephoto lens and diagonal composition, you can capture the coast. p10
4. After reaching the Mount Hakodate Observatory, you don't have to go up to the second floor right away. Turn left on the first floor to a platform, then after coming out, walk down towards the Mount Hakodate sign, and turn right to a spot with an unobstructed view and fewer people. p11.12
5. Goryokaku Tower Observatory, it's recommended to take photos on the first floor of the observatory, where it's less crowded. p13.14
The southern gateway of Hokkaido| Hakodate (1454)
| Hakodate (1454). Hakodate, an important port city in the southwestern part of Hokkaido, Japan. Located in the Hakodate Bay in the southern part of the Oshima Peninsula, facing the Tsugaru Strait. It is located on a flat sandbar and belongs to the Hakodate Plain. There is Mount Hakodate in the eastern part of the bay, and Hakodate Port is in front of the mountain. The port has deep water and is a natural good port, the gateway to Hokkaido.
Originally named Hakodate, it was a place of exile for discarded nobles and criminals in Honshu in the 13th century. Immigrants began to settle in the Edo period and engaged in fishing and agriculture. It was opened as a foreign port in 1854, and its business has become increasingly prosperous, once known as the 'Nagasaki of the North'. It was renamed to its current name in 1869.
Hakodate is the southern gateway of Hokkaido, and like Yokohama and Nagasaki, it is also a port city with a long history of trade. It is one of the first Japanese ports to open, and the other is Shimonoseki City. All port cities are always accompanied by the tradition of overseas Chinese from various countries coming and going for trade, and this is no exception. Many past events are like flowing in the Tsugaru Strait at the entrance of Hakodate, continuously drifting from the Sea of Japan to the Pacific. In summer, thousands of squid fishing lights decorate the strait, and in winter, thousands of bright lights outline Hakodate.
At the highest point of the city, overlooking the beauty of this world.
I like to collect urban scenery and visit the highest observation deck in every place I go. Because I think this can help me see this place clearly in the shortest time, its prosperity and decline, history and modernity, and the first impression its appearance gives me. It is a symbol of itself in my heart. The pictures are as follows:
p1 The Hakodate night view, known as the "Million Night View". p2-3 Sapporo Gojo Park.
p4-5 Eureka Skydeck 88 in Melbourne. p6-7 Umeda Sky Building in Osaka.
P8 Michelangelo Square in Florence.
p9 Seto Inland Sea Naoshima Benesse House Oval.

Quick gondola ride to the top of Mount Hakodate.
Quite crowded during the sunset time. But it was worth waiting when the lights in the city slowly brighten up. But the view is great and beautiful.
There's vending machines, a restaurant with a view, souvenir shops and restrooms inside the viewing platform building.

When at Hakodate, one must go to do the view at mount Hakodate. The way to go up is via Hakodate Ropeway which will ferry you near the top.
There are few levels for you to decide where to take the best picture and while wrestling with the rest of the tourists.
The mountain is renowned for its view of the surrounding bay with lights and city area.
The cold wind from mountain and sea in winter really freezing. Post for Picture marking you oversee Hakodate
#bucketlistreboot
This is one the famous Hakodate night view over the world! We took the ropeway up to the mountain, and bus directly down to our hotel.
Speaking of Hakodate, the most famous night scenes, and Hong Kong Victoria Harbour and Naples, Italy, are called the world's three night scenes. To see the night view of Hakodate, you can take the cable car, but you must first check the operation of the cable car. We will catch up with the cable car on the first day and stop because of the wind. The
cable car can be run from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain in just 3 minutes. There are a lot of tourists, and it is said that the peak season will be lined up for several hours. The round-trip fare for adults is 1,280 yen and for children is 640 yen.
The next day, the wind stopped and we finally saw the night view of Hakodate. Because it was not the peak season, it took only ten minutes to wait in line for the cable car. Because of the past travel experience, I have seen many well-known night scenes, and I was very dismissive of the night view of Hakodate. But stood on the top of Mount Hakodate. I can only say that it is worthwhile, and the night scene is beautiful. First of all, due to its unique shape, one side is the Shizutsu Strait and the other is Hakodate Port. In addition, due to the high quality of air transparency, in Beijing, it is rare to see such a transparent light.
When the sun shines on the sea, when the moonlight is sprinkled on the spring water, look out the window, if the branches sway gently in the wind, open your ears, if you hear your heartbeat, close your eyes, if you have a trace of your lips Smile, the person you love is also loving you. If you love someone, take her to Hokkaido, because the winter here is already beautiful.
Hakodate Hill:
one of the world's three major night scenes, must-have attractions
We went at 6 o'clock in the evening, the sky slowly darkened, the lights slowly lit up, due to the letter The museum is not big, our hotel and Hakodate Hill are not far away. We walked all the way up and walked for about half an hour. It was arrived. After buying the ticket at the ticket office, the cable car is a large box that can hold dozens of people. The cable car is very fast and will reach the top of the mountain in a few minutes.
I have to say that the night view of Mount Hakodate is really a red land. There are quite a lot of tourists here. Although the weather is cold, everyone is willing to look at the beautiful night on the viewing platform.
The third floor of the viewing platform has a coffee shop. The caf is super beautiful by the window. You can sit in front of the large glass window and order desserts to make the most of the scenery.
