Nestled in the cloud forest, it felt like stepping into a world of lush greenery and endless wildlife. The entrance to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve was about $25, and it was worth every penny. I spent hours hiking the misty trails, surrounded by towering trees, exotic plants, and the sounds of birds and monkeys in the distance. The hanging bridges offered breathtaking views, and I even spotted a quetzal, one of the rarest birds in the world! After exploring the reserve, I visited the nearby butterfly garden and coffee plantations, which gave me a deeper appreciation of the local culture. Cloud Forest, Costa Rica

the Cloud Forest preserve in Monteverde, Costa Rica is absolutely beautiful. I saw more wildlife there then I ever have from tree frogs, to howler monkeys. at the right time of day, the clouds really do settle in amongst the jungle and you can feel the moisture of the clouds in the air. could not recommend this enough. they have guided tours and self tours!

Monteverde is one of the major eco-tourism locations in Costa Rica. Located at 4 hours drive from San José you will find one of the most marvelous cloud forest. Here is where you can literally touch the sky! There are many great locations to visit, all nature-related. In this area you can find three cloud forest reserves, the Children Eternal Forest (BEN), Monteverde reserve (CCT) and Santa Elena cloud forest (near downtown). The Tropical Science Center manages the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. They have several hiking paths with different difficulty level, each has an amazing view and a great change for bird 🐦 watching or seeing wildlife in your way. Mountverde cloud forest is in mount verde Costa Rica, it is such an amazing place and it was fantastic to walk so high above the forest in the clouds, there are a series of bridges that cover the top of the forest and you can see for miles because you are so high up. Definitely worth a visit and one off my bucket list
