The Monster Building, officially known as Yick Cheong Building, is a group of residential buildings located in Quarry Bay, Eastern District, Hong Kong. It is an "E"-shaped building composed of five buildings: Yick Cheong Building, Yick Fat Building, Hoi Shan Building, Fook Cheong Building and Seaview Building. Built in the 1960s, it has attracted many tourists and photography enthusiasts with its dense architectural style and unique visual effects. The exterior of the building is named "Monster" because of its dense arrangement of balconies and windows, and has appeared in many movies, such as "Transformers 4". Tourists usually shoot in the atrium of the building, which has become a popular shooting location due to its unique geometric composition. It is recommended to go there during the day when there is plenty of light to capture better light and shadow effects. Since it is a residential area, please keep quiet when visiting and respect the lives of local residents. There is Quarry Bay MTR Station near the building, which is convenient for transportation and can be reached in about 5 minutes on foot. There are also many cafes and restaurants around, which are suitable for a rest after sightseeing.
