Georgia|A must-visit MOMA Tbilisi for art lovers in Tbilisi
Rustaveli Avenue in the old town of Tbilisi, named after the 12th-century Georgian poet👨🦰, is lined with many lovely sculptures, as well as numerous cafes☕️, museums🏛️, and art galleries🎨, making it a must-visit route for art lovers. Among them, MOMA Tbilisi is my favorite art gallery of this trip☝️.

✅The art gallery has three floors, with the first floor featuring a temporary exhibition area, and the second and third floors housing permanent exhibitions.
✅The museum mainly showcases the works of artist🧑🎨 Zurab Tsereteli, mostly sculptures and oil paintings🖼️, as well as porcelain paintings, manuscripts, design drafts✍️, and photos📸 of the artist's work and life.
✅The most outstanding sculptures are from the series 'My Favorite Artists', including Van Gogh, Picasso🧑🎨, Matisse, Rousseau, and others. These giant sculptures🗿, over three to four meters high, are very grand. Additionally, there are traditional Georgian performance sculptures🎭 on the second floor.
✅The oil painting series mainly features portraits, as well as animals and plants, with bright colors and very distinctive personal characteristics. Personally, I really like the series of professional people, such as cobblers👞, performers🪕, gardeners💐, and characters with small heads and strong bodies. The slightly upward perspective gives the characters an exaggerated effect.
✅The temporary exhibition hall on the first floor currently features an installation art exhibition called 'New Faith'. There are also many sculpture works in the courtyard on the first floor, including Zurab Tsereteli's 'Apple of Love', which depicts the myth of the origin of life inside a bronze apple🍏.
⭕️Others:
🔸In addition to the temporary exhibition area🖼️, the first floor also has an outdoor courtyard exhibition hall with many sculpture works.
🔸Recommended visiting order👉3-2-1 floors, there is an elevator🛗, and the overall visit takes about 2 hours.
🔸There are restrooms🚻 and a free🆓 water dispenser on the basement floor.
