The entrance to the garden is a bit small following by a long narrow dimly dark green wall to the end. After that, another door pushing into the garden, there is the arched facades standing in front attractively decorated with lots of hanging multi coloured lamps. Though the garden is not big but there are lots of beautifully organised green bushes and trees and at one corner, there is a half moon surrounded by flowers and lights areas where suitable for a few shots of photo taken. Surely there are plenty to over view both inside the garden and the city around with family or friends here. Finally, the coconut chicken hotpot from Shenzhen has opened in Hong Kong. After work, I spontaneously decided to try it to cool off. There aren't many places in Hong Kong that use authentic coconut water for hotpot, but Four Seasons Coconut Grove features a hotpot with four coconuts and no added water! The broth is incredibly sweet. With over 60 branches in China, it's a must-visit now that they've opened a new store in MOKO. The chicken used is Hainan Wenchang chicken from Shanghai, with fresh, enticing pink meat. Double Cold Dish The Hainan spicy Wenchang chicken gizzards are spicy and chewy, perfect as a snack with drinks! The spicy cucumber is refreshing and crunchy. When the coconut water broth boils, the coconut aroma is overwhelming. The staff helps us add the chicken to cook. The chicken is tender and chewy, with crispy skin. Remember to drink a sip of the rich coconut water broth, it's fragrant and sweet, truly delicious! Chaozhou Handmade Fish Skin Dumplings Different from the usual ones, these small dumplings are chewy and have a fishy aroma. Snow Mountain Beef Short Ribs Beautifully presented, the pink meat with white fat marbling is rich and has a milky aroma. Orchid Clams Crispy and chewy, they don't have much flavor on their own, but dipping them in sand ginger soy sauce brings out their sweetness. Coconut Boat Rice Glutinous rice steamed with coconut meat, chewy and topped with coconut shreds, very fragrant. Be prepared to be enticed by the tantalisingly delicious smells coming from this cafe. It's almost always full during mealtimes. Even during the in between times before lunch or dinner there's a constant stream of customers. There's a 60 min seating time, meals need to be finished within 60 mins. It's a quaint cafe with only a few tables so queues can build up. My family were definitely lured in by the delicious smells emanating from here. Managed to snag a table at around 3+ pm (and there was still a 5 min short wait for a table). The Sonia's all day breakfast did not disappoint. Packed with so much food that was almost bursting over the plate, everything on it was scrumptious. The croissant was rich, buttery and flaky, ticking all the boxes for a good croissant. Salad and it's dressing just nice to balance out the meal. Hidden under the salad and bacon was a juicy, tender, teriyaki chicken. The scrambled eggs were done nicely and my kids loved the tamago and smoked salmon. A winning dish, for sure. The mentaiko shrimp tomato cream pasta however, won over the entire family. Flavourful, creamy tomato based pasta that tickled all the right taste buds. A beautiful balance of sweet, sour and savoury, the portions were good enough for us all to steal huge helpings from my husband. Their signature pudding came in a cute, tiny, elevated dish and was creamy, custardy and melt in your mouth good. This meal was so good we stopped by for takeaway the next day (ready in 10 mins!) on the way back to the Royal plaza hotel. A good deal cos they had 25% off on their takeaway menu. I definitely vouch for the tomato based pastas- Mentaiko shrimp and kissaten napolitan(1 is seafood & the other sausages + tomato). The garlic butter scallop pasta was a bit of a miss for us. The luxurious boutique tea brand Tea WG from Singapore is probably familiar to many, but have you tried their takeaway service? The takeaway menu offers 108 varieties of tea, including black tea, white tea, green tea, Chinese tea, Indian Darjeeling, Ceylon tea, South African rooibos, caffeine-free tea, and the brand's classic teas. When choosing, you can ask the staff for recommendations and even smell the tea aroma to find your favorite. There are also sets paired with macarons or cookies, making afternoon tea even more complete. The menu states that there are over 60 branches nationwide, which is quite a number. 🌱 Hainan Spicy Wenchang Chicken Gizzards While waiting for the original coconut chicken, I ordered the chicken gizzards. They were crispy with a spicy and numbing flavor. 🌱 Original Coconut Chicken Using an hourglass ⏳ for timing, when the sand runs out, the staff helps to open the lid. The walls and the vests worn by the staff are printed with 'No water added, 4 coconuts for 1 pot of soup'. I first tried a bowl of soup, which had a rich and sweet coconut flavor. One bowl was really not enough. They used Hainan Wenchang chicken, which had a distinct chicken flavor and a firmer texture. Besides eating the chicken pieces as they are, you can also mix the three sauces—sand ginger, chili, and calamansi—for a sweet, sour, and spicy taste, which enhances the flavor. After drinking a few bowls of coconut soup, we started the hotpot. The staff will help add chicken broth, but if you want to add coconut soup, there is an extra charge. 🌱 Tender Chicken Feather Vegetable The texture of the chicken feather vegetable is similar to cabbage, crisp and crunchy. 🌱 Zhongshan Crispy Grass Carp Slices The grass carp slices are thin and translucent. Today I went to Moko and saw this cafe packed with customers (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎). I couldn't resist trying it out! As soon as I looked at the menu, I understood why it was so crowded! The prices for both the meals and desserts are very reasonable, and the portions are huge and beautifully presented! We ordered: Roast Chicken Waffle $135 It came with half a roast chicken and four large waffles! I was really surprised by the generous portion. The chicken skin was crispy and fragrant, while the inside remained juicy. The waffles were rich in egg flavor and perfectly crispy. This $135 main dish completely satisfied my cravings for both a main course and dessert (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎). It's really worth it! Bolognese Fettuccine with Onsen Egg $132 This fettuccine was really delicious! The noodles were cooked just right, with a nice bite to them. The Angus beef bolognese sauce served as the base, and the onsen egg enhanced the texture, making the overall dish rich in layers and flavor. It was truly tasty! Sour Cream Works Chips $55 I struggled for a long time before finally deciding on this sauce. Sour cream is usually paired with corn chips (*ˉ︶ˉ*), but it turned out to be a great match with fries too! These fries were freshly fried, thick-cut, and very flavorful! Ultimate Milkshake (Green Mint) $98 I ordered this drink based on the picture. Strictly speaking, it's more like a dessert! Just by looking at its appearance, you can tell it's indulgent. The mint chocolate milkshake was refreshing, and it came with churros and waffles 😂, plus a generous amount of cream. It really felt like eating a dessert! Cast Iron Hazelnut Toast Box $105 It may look ordinary, but this Toast Box is amazing! It was filled with egg flavor, and topped with lots of chocolate chips, cream, and hazelnut spread. Once you start eating, you can't stop (*ˉ︶ˉ*). Overall, the value for money is unbeatable! The food quality is excellent! Unfortunately, my stomach capacity is limited. The juice is sour and sour, making it a good appetizer on a hot summer day to wake up the stomach. Lobster in jellyfish sauce🦞The meat is refreshing and chewy. Morel mushrooms and wolfberry soaked vegetable seedlings are a relatively light dish. After eating strong-flavored glutinous rice, I felt good eating this dish again. The original egg yolk has a lot of butter. As soon as you bite it, it's all over your hands. It's super fragrant. In my memory, I have never tried to eat a whole longevity peach by myself. Because I always feel full by the end of the banquet, and I don’t really like lotus seed paste. But this longevity peach was so delicious that I ate the whole one! The exquisite dessert is a bowl of red bean 🫘 sand that is not too spicy but has moderate sweetness. In fact, I think this meal for two is enough for 4 people just by adding 2 more longevity peach buns and 2 bowls of red bean paste. Today I planned to go to Moko Moko Park to play, 👦🏻 suddenly wanted to eat Taiwanese beef noodles, so during the minibus ride on Open Rice to find food, as soon as I got off the bus before going to the third floor section of pure virginity! What is authentic Taiwanese beef noodles like? The impression is that the noodles are good, the soup is rich, and the meat is not tough (nonsense 😅). This restaurant claims to be from Taiwan, with secret recipes passed down from ancestors and crafted with care. The online reviews have both praise and criticism, this time it's up to the taste buds to decide😋 Ordered a set meal👇🏻 Original beef noodles + salt and pepper chicken + honeydew green tea with aloe vera grains 🍜 (Figure 1-3) You can choose handmade noodles or small noodles, we chose wide handmade noodles, looks small portion, but each strip is wide, long, thick but not floury or tough to bite, served with beef bones plus secret recipe and cook eight hours low heat The soup, slightly spicy, slightly bitter, overall quite tasty!
