This trip was not just a rest day, it was a meaningful experience that connected me with nature and local culture. I would highly recommend anyone who loves the sea and wants to explore the hidden gems of Thailand to visit Koh Surin and the Mogan Village. It’s a perfect place from the busy world and a chance to fall in love with the simple beauty of the ocean.

🌟The Moken people have been wandering in the Andaman Sea for over 100 years and have settled on islands in the Andaman Sea.
The Moken people's way of life is fishing, diving for shellfish, sea cucumbers and other marine animals to make a living and to trade and exchange
with rice and necessities for a long time.
🌟🌴It is a village that survived the tsunami.
The senior Moken people in the community saw the unusual drop in sea levels and saw a large wave coming, so they warned their children and people in the community to climb up and take shelter on higher ground. Houses were damaged, but no Moken people died from this incident.
In addition, the Moken people also made items to sell to visitors, such as necklaces, bags, and other items made from marine waste.
Don't forget to support them. 👧🏽🧒🏽

Moken Community @ Surin Island

Visiting the Moken village was an unforgettable experience that left a lasting impression on us. The community’s way of life, deeply rooted in tradition and seemingly untouched by the passage of time, was remarkable to witness. The Moken people have inhabited the islands in the Andaman Sea for over a century, and their connection with the sea is both profound and captivating.
As we strolled through the village, we admired the simple wooden structures that made up their homes. Fishing is the main livelihood for most of the villagers, reflecting their deep bond with the ocean. Scattered throughout the village were small souvenir stalls, offering handcrafted treasures like ankle bracelets and intricately carved bangles—each piece a unique reminder of their rich cultural heritage.
Although our time there was brief, the village stood out as one of the most fascinating highlights of our visit to the Surin Islands.

Koh Phra Thong, Kuraburi, Phang Nga
A large island on the Andaman coast, one of the famous unseen in Thailand, Thai Savannah, the atmosphere is similar to a safari field in Africa. In the middle of the island is a picture of a wide golden grassland as far as the eye can see, white celandine trees, wild jasmine trees, large horse deer, hundreds of parrots, along the beach with beautiful blue water, soft and fine sand, a place for sea turtles to lay eggs, a point to watch the sunset contrasting with the beautiful sea edge. Slow life, the Lions Village of Thailand was newly built for the Moken people who experienced the giant tsunami. Use it as a place to live and also as a homestay, accepting tourists, listening to stories, the way of life of the Moken people, going out to sea, diving to find fish.
