Weekend Mountain Retreat | Mogan Mountain Homestay
| Mogan Mountain Homestay. Staycation
At the end of the plum rain season💦, I rushed to Zhejiang for the weekend right after work on Friday.
This time, I chose a mountaintop homestay in Mogan Mountain called Yun'an Qianshan. The design style is the rustic countryside style I like🍃, with some of the building materials sourced locally🌲.
Mogan Mountain and the rainy season are probably a 100% match. This time, I deliberately chose to visit Mogan Mountain on a rainy day for a vacation because the rainy weather really adds to the ambiance🌈.
Homestay Features🛏️
1. There are two large viewing terraces. The terrace downstairs is larger with a broader view, while the terrace upstairs is connected to the living and dining rooms. You can enjoy the mountain view directly from the living room while having coffee☕ or breakfast🍞😉.
2. The selection of furniture and overall soft furnishings clearly show thoughtful design. The coffee table, dining table, sofa, including the dining room chandelier, wall decor, large fireplace in the living room, small decorative items, and even the tissue box, all make me want to copy and paste them into my home😂😂😂.
3. The main feature is health and wellness. At 8 PM, there is a Lei Cha activity🍵, where various health ingredients like black sesame, white sesame, yam powder, and mulberries are ground into powder and mixed with milk. You can also add some tea leaves to make milk tea. It's delicious but labor-intensive.
4. At night, you can soak in a private medicinal bath in your room. The housekeeper prepares a pot of herbal soup at your door in the evening. It's freshly brewed herbal soup, and soaking in it after a bath is incredibly relaxing😉😉😉😉.
But what impressed me the most was waking up the next morning, opening the curtains, and seeing layers of clouds and mist floating among the distant mountains. It was so atmospheric, I loved it😍😍😍. The first evening we arrived, the sun came out, and we saw the sunny mountain view. The next morning, it started raining again, so we experienced both the rainy and sunny scenery of Mogan Mountain in one trip. It was truly worth it, to the point that I didn't want to check out and return to Shanghai the next day. This Mogan Mountain staycation was exactly what I envisioned for a weekend📸. Weekends should be about returning to the mountains, letting go of all worries, lying flat in the wilderness, and deeply relaxing📸.
