#Moalboal Sardines Storm Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Island hopping in the beautiful Moalboal 🇵🇭
We spent half a day visiting Pescador island and Panagsama beach. We snorkelled, swam with the sardines and sea turtles. It’s a must take trip if you’re around Cebu or Moalboal.
We had the most exciting trip underwater. From snorkeling to scuba diving!! We had a moment watching the turtles and sardines! And of course, with the help of our patient tour guides from Jojo South Cebu Adventures. You may also contact them thru their Facebook page. They also have room accommodation for group and it’s super affordable! #moalboal #jojoscubadiving
Watching the sardine storm in the ink treasure, you can also encounter turtles!
is a seaside town not far from Cebu. We take a cruise from Dumaguete directly to the nearby pier and need to take the bus to get off at the Mobo site, then take the tutu to the seaside hotel.
Of course, there are two points of glamour here.
One is the cliff. Soon after the sea, in addition to seeing more dense corals and marine life than snorkeling in Siquijor, you can see the cliffs a little further into the deep sea!
The other one must be a sardine storm. See where the sardines storm went, and walk more than 200 meters from our hotel to a boat-intensive place. When you see people with deep dive and places where tourists gather, then you can see the location of the sardine storm. Seeing such unpredictable fish swimming and swimming is really shocked, sometimes gathering and separating, sometimes like a big wave, but like a big fish, it was there for more than half an hour to be satisfied.
As a tourist destination in Southeast Asia, the Philippines is an archipelago country that is more suitable for diving than Thailand. It has many diving spots and attracts tourists from all over the world.
Cebu is located in the heart of the Visayas Islands and consists of 167 islands dotted with palm-fringed fishing villages. It is a very quiet and idyllic island.
As the earliest city developed in the Philippines, Cebu's tourism resources are very rich. The most fascinating thing for me is Moalboa. Chinese tourists like to call it "Ink". The active tourist scene of
"Ink" is centered on Panagsama Beach and wonderful diving activities. It is known as the "Diving Paradise" and is the top diving destination in the Philippines.
If you want to watch the "Sardine Storm" and want to get involved in the "Sardine Storm", "Ink" is a trip that can't be staggered. Whether it's snorkeling or depth, this wonderful underwater wonder is only here. Once you have experienced the fun of diving here, you will never forget your life, or even fall in love with diving.
The summer in the Philippines has always been passionate, and the beaches of "Mobao" are even more beautiful.
Because it is one of the famous diving spots in the Philippines, there are a large number of tourists coming here every year. Whether it is watching the sardine storm or the comfort of the sunny beach, it is a kind of travel enjoyment.
Mo Bao is one of the top ten diving spots in the Philippines, the hometown of the sardines storm, where you can watch the sardines dance for 365 days a year. Especially in the shallow water area between 3-10 meters in water depth, it is the most advantageous dive site for beginner scuba divers and snorkeling divers to watch sardines.
is a resort and a diving paradise. Once you have experienced the fun of diving in Moalboal, you will never forget it. Stimulating underwater exploration, looking for colorful corals in the sea, and sardine storms.
In the short two days of the ink, it was really sad when I left, because this is the island I was most impressed with during my trip to the Philippines. It is very small, there are few people, and the town is zero. Scattered stall vendors, even a decent high-end restaurant, but there is a very cost-effective seaside restaurant, I even want to eat here for a month, it is best to go swimming after diving. This fresh and lovely island, wall crack recommended.
Moalboal is a small town in the southwestern part of Cebu. It is also one of the top ten diving spots in the Philippines. You can find plenty of sardines here. It takes about 2.5 hours from Cebu City to Moalboal, and about half an hour from the hotel to Moalboal. In the town of Moalboal, there are diving classes and local travel agencies. You can find a local diving instructor and go straight to the beach to snorkel. At the seaside of Moalboal, there are also many foreigners who love the water, and they rush to the sea to take a dip.
Moalboal 🇵🇭 Sardine Storms
A perfect snorkeling experience, just walk down to the beach in moalbaol, grab a rental snorkel, mask and fins and head into the sea.
I'd reccomend renting a guide to help as they cost around 60rmb in equivalent pesos. The guide will speed up finding the sardine storms, help take awesome photos of you diving through them and they are carry a small raft in case you fancy a rest or the water gets a little choppy.
SEA TURTLE AND SARDINES-Moalboal
🐢🐟🐠🐋
If you love snorkelling and exploring marine flora and fauna, you will love Moalboal in the Philippines. This small town is home to the famous sardine run, where you can swim with millions of sardines year round!
🦈🐡🐟🐳
Snorkelling with sardines and turtles in Moalboal was amongst my favourite activities. The sardine run is located just off the coast of Moalboal, on the west coast of Cebu Island in the Philippines. 🇵🇭It’s pretty easy to find alone.
Generally speaking, if you look at other groups of snorkelers and swim in their direction, it’s pretty likely that they’re gathered either around sardines or turtles.
👀The best part of this awesome adventure is that it can be done completely for free! 🆓 The sardines are just off the shore of the Moalboal coast, you can easily swim up to them from the beach without a guide.
👣👣We just walked down to the beach, rented our snorkel gear, left our stuff on the beach with our friends and jumped in the water.
🏊🏊We hadn’t even been swimming for 5 minutes when we spotted our first turtle! 🐢The turtles are pretty chill and in no rush to go anywhere, just remember not to touch them or bother them.🐢🛑✋
Swimming up close to turtles and thousands of sardines was without a doubt a unique experience. The fact that you can do it so easily even without a guide or tour makes it all the more exciting! 🔝🔅

In the Cebu City report, the Ink diving trip, the second stop is the 12-meter Kawasan Waterfall diving.
The accompanying driver has been boasting that we are very fun here. There is a 12-meter-high waterfall diving, very irritating. I also showed us the video of his mobile phone, and then did not cause my interest, 12 meters. The high waterfalls in China should be visible, and there will be great things. Kawasan has three waterfalls. It is estimated that Filipinos have seen more seas. Therefore, compared with the sea, the Philippine locals prefer to go to the waterfalls to play. All the way to see are countless Philippine locals, playing very embarrassing. I heard the screaming of the pig-like style, and then plopped into the water. I finally understood where the excitement of the driver was, only 12 meters. It should be easy for me!
In order to set a good example for my sisters, I volunteered to stand at the forefront, and when I was standing on the edge of the cliff, I was paralyzed next time. No psychological struggle was like giving up, too TMD is scary, more fearful than the bungee that was played before, no security measures at all... In the end, I still have the courage to jump, I really admire myself.
