⛩️Omiwa Shrine
This shrine is the oldest in Japan and proudly boasts the country's second largest torii gate. The main deity worshipped here resides in Mount Miwa, which is located behind the shrine. To this day, the shrine has not been built, maintaining its original appearance. (Please note that if you plan to climb the mountain, you must apply at Sai Shrine in the morning.)
🍷Not only is it the guardian deity of agriculture, exorcism, and matchmaking, but it is also revered as the god of sake brewing. The people of later generations used the cedar leaves of Mount Miwa as a symbol of sake brewing and decorated them under the eaves of the sake shop. On November 14th every year, a brewing blessing ceremony is held here.
🌸For tourists, this place is even more famous as a cherry blossom viewing spot every spring. In fact, even in the bleak winter, it will still bring you a surprise of green.
⛩️There are countless shrines around Sai Shrine, Hinohara Shrine, and Omiwa Shrine, each with its own duties. You can reserve more time to listen to the voices of the past in this quiet place and feel the changes of the times.
🍱Mount Miwa not only has a long aftertaste of sake, but you must also go to experience the somen house with a light breeze, and taste a bowl of refreshing and delicious somen. The persimmon leaf sushi of "Somen Mori Masa" is a special dish of Nara. The red and green outer leaves wrap the fragrance of sushi, which has a different taste.
AKi plans to make a collection about shrines and temples, regardless of faith, just to return to nature and enjoy a moment of tranquility. Of course, it is not limited to Japan, and the beautiful rivers and mountains of our country will also be explored slowly. All temples will be included in this collection, and I hope everyone will share and correct it ❤️.
