On my recent visits to Shanghai Disneyland, I saw both kids and adults unhappy. The reason is simple. 🧙‍♀️Kids want to take photos with Mickey when they visit the park. This is a reasonable request, but the interaction at the entrance of Mickey Avenue often requires a 2–3 hour wait, which is exhausting, so adults (parents) ❌ are not happy. The solution to this problem is simple. ㊗️ I hope more people know about it. The "Mickey Meet and Greet" at Shanghai Disneyland is a very popular event where visitors can interact with Mickey and other Disney characters and take photos with them. There are 2 locations in Shanghai Disneyland 1⃣ Mickey Club (Fantasyland) Meet and Greet: Visitors can meet and interact with Mickey, and it usually takes 5–20 minutes to get in line, but there is only Mickey, and he is always dressed in his classic tuxedo, but Mickey will not leave, and he is very dedicated, so kids can take photos here to fulfill their wishes. 2⃣ Mickey Avenue Meet and Greet (M Gallery): This is the first thing you see when you enter the park, so many kids want to line up for this, but it is more suitable for advanced players, and it usually takes 2–3 hours to get in line. There are many Mickey and Minnie-related activities in the park, and they have to leave whenever there is an event (you can't see two sets of Mickey and Minnie at the same time), so the wait time is long. Pros: 🎉 You may be able to take photos with both Mickey and Minnie 🎉 Different holiday-themed costumes (matching the seasonal dolls) are available for different holidays Event times (see the app for the day, the following is for reference only for Feb 4, 2025) • Fantasyland Meet and Greet: Feb 4, 2025, 9:00 am to 8:45 pm. • Mickey Avenue Meet and Greet: Feb 4, 2025, 8:30 am to 2:15 pm. (Due to capacity limitations, the queue closing time is subject to on-site operations, and the queue will be closed when the staff calculates the number of people) ❌ Photo rules: Selfie sticks are not allowed in the park, and they cannot be brought into the park at the entrance security check. Christmas is coming, and Shanghai Disney has already started the Christmas season on November 22. The park is filled with a strong Christmas atmosphere, and recently, the temperature in Shanghai has been dropping continuously. The temperature difference between morning and evening is particularly large, sometimes reaching as low as 4°C, while the highest temperature recently is around 18°C. So, for those planning to visit Disney, make sure to be prepared and plan your time well. The most important thing is to keep warm and bring an umbrella to guard against the ever-changing weather. The following details may help you! 1️⃣ If you've already arrived in Shanghai and brought prohibited items, it's recommended to store them in the lockers at the subway station, as storage at the park entrance is quite expensive. Small items cost 10 per item, while large items cost 80 per item. Items over 60cm are considered large, meaning storing a long-handled umbrella would cost 80. 2️⃣ You can bring a non-glass water bottle into the park. Although the park's drinking water is at a constant temperature, you can take your bottle to a store and ask the staff to fill it with hot water. Otherwise, buying milk tea throughout the day can be really expensive. 3️⃣ It's recommended to play popular attractions first. If there aren't many people on weekdays, you can also go for a second round in the evening when there are fewer people. 4️⃣ If you're planning to ride Soaring Over the Horizon, make sure to sit in the middle, as the back row will see the feet of the people in front. 5️⃣ The route for Mickey's float and the winter parade float is the same, starting from Toy Story and going along M Street to Treasure Cove. 6️⃣ For Mickey's float, it's recommended to watch from opposite the Moonlight Banquet Hall for a great view, and there's an interactive spot there. 7️⃣ For the winter parade float, it's recommended to watch from the entrance of Mickey's Storybook Express, as the parade ends at 18:15, and the second snowfall is at 19:15, so you can watch the snowfall on Mickey Avenue right after. 8️⃣ Make sure to secure a spot for the snowfall in advance, as there are quite a few people. There are two shows every day now, and it's recommended to watch the second one, as you can use the time of the first show to avoid the crowds and queue for attractions, which is super efficient. 9️⃣ After the snowfall, you can ride the carousel, which is very healing and great for photos! 🔟 Secure a spot for the fireworks show in advance. If you can't get a spot opposite the castle, you can watch from the left or right side of Fantasyland. If that's not possible, you can watch from the back of the castle, where there are fewer people, and it's also very healing. You can see the fireworks and projections.
