Standard Twin Room Positives - Spanking new hotel just a few mins walk from exit 3 of Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station - value for money - Lovely decor - good staff service - everything Japanese so good and efficient use of space, items in room - complimentary selection of movies in tv - Top floor public bath was very unique coupled with nice views - breakfast was unique too (Japanese, western and Taiwanese) Negatives - Bed a tad soft - bathroom first thing upon entering room might be bothersome for some - sound insulation from the windows not fantastic #tripblazers

I can't say enough good things about this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional—staff were friendly and always ready to help with a smile. The rooms are not only spacious but also beautifully decorated, making it a really comfortable place to relax after a long day. The location is fantastic, with easy access to shopping and local attractions, which made exploring the area a breeze. And let’s talk about breakfast—absolutely delicious! While many facilities and activities were canceled or closed due to the typhoon, I decided to stay at the Mitsui Garden Hotel, which has a large public bath that I'm looking forward to in Taipei. There are plenty of ways to kill time in the hotel, such as the Italian restaurant on the first floor and the lounge space on the second floor. However, since there are no desks in the rooms, many guests were seen working in the lounge space. The large public bath was very spacious and relaxing. #hotelwithbathtub New japanese chain hotel in taipei. Mitsui Garden is a brand that never disappoints. The hotel is locates right beside Metro which is a huge plus. The hotel is clean and smells great. Lounge at level 2 is a great place to chill after a long day of travelling out. The onsen at level 17 is big and nice. There is even a 7-11 vending machine just before the onsen. Room is big and nicely decorated. Bathtub comes with instant hot spring sachet for in-room hotspring dip. Overall a very great stay.

Japanese styled hotel here. Everything about this place screams efficiency to me. There’s no wasted space for grand presentations like a fountain or a chandelier. The only thing is a TV on a wall, which doesn’t really take up much space. One big area for reception, another for waiting area, and the last one is the lift area. Simple, organised, and efficient. The rooms are super comfortable. I really enjoy the fact that the toilet bowl and the shower are separated and in their own cubicle. However, I’d have liked if there was a simple sofa area in the room for lounging around. Instead it feels like the room was intended for just washing up and then sleeping. Another place that reminds me of this efficiency is Hong Kong. And I’d love to revisit Hong Kong again to face a cut to the chase experience. Hopefully with a flight deal from Trip.com, I’d be able to make this wish a reality. #winhkflight
