I took a road trip with friends to escape the summer heat and was amazed by the beauty of the Bairui Tianlu (formerly known as Jingbei First Tianlu). Chengde Fengning Bairui Tianlu is the closest Bashang grassland to Beijing, with a total distance of about 88 km. Here are some travel tips: 💜Temperature: The temperature in Fengning Bashang feels like only 15 degrees Celsius. Bring a thick coat as it can get a bit chilly, especially at night. Don't forget your sunscreen, though—it's not hot, but the sun is strong. 💚Route: It takes about 3 hours to drive from Beijing. Bairui Tianlu is a paradise for road trip enthusiasts. You can drive in, stop and go as you please, and fully immerse yourself in the natural scenery. With mountains, water, cattle, horses, flowers, and grass, it's the longest self-driving route in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. There are also many other attractions along Bairui Tianlu. Meiren Valley has a wooden boardwalk perfect for hiking, and the view of the sunset from the top of Yunzhong Grassland East Mountain is stunning. For those who enjoy horseback riding, you can visit the famous Horse Town. I didn't expect to find this niche treasure spot during my two-day trip to Fengning Bashang. Besides the well-known Hundred-Mile Sky Road and the Grassland in the Clouds, Beauty Valley is often overlooked by most people. Here lies the largest forest flower sea in Bashang. Unlike other self-driving scenic spots, Here you can drive in the first half, stopping wherever you like, and camp at your favorite spots. In the second half, you enter the wooden plank road, hiking to explore the fairy tale forest🌸. About Beauty Valley🌸 ♦️The self-driving section is a newly paved hard road, very easy to drive. You can park at a small pavilion at the innermost circular section. ♦️Enter the wooden plank road from beside the small pavilion, which is the main part of the scenic area. The plank road is flanked by forests and wildflowers, mostly flat, suitable for all ages, no need to worry about not being able to walk. 📝Other tips ✅There are many trees in the scenic area, no need to worry about sun exposure, you can rest anytime when tired. ✅The scenic area is not large, it takes about 2-3 hours to tour, and there are very few people here, so you don't have to worry about not finding a place to camp or rest. ✅The plank road is flanked by various flowers and plants, it's like a natural encyclopedia, and you can play on the big lawn, children will have a great time. ✅The temperature difference between morning and evening is large, bring a jacket. ✅Restrooms🚻 are located at the small pavilion at the entrance of the plank road.
