Historic buildings

Meijia Courtyard (also known as Tingjiangwei Overseas Chinese Building Complex) was built in 1931. 108 arcade buildings are arranged in a rectangle, row upon row, and each building has a different appearance. There is also 40 acres of market space in the middle of the arcade group, which is dedicated to merchants selling goods, just like a small square city. Because there were many people with the surname Mei at that time, it was called the "Mei Family Courtyard". Entering the Meijia compound, you will be greeted with a strong retro atmosphere. Due to the long history, the exterior walls of many buildings have been slightly mottled and outdated, adding a sense of vicissitudes. However, there is still a lot of life here, playing mahjong, drying clothes, etc. Many residents have also begun to sell some local specialties and small commodities, such as bean curd, jelly, sesame paste and so on.
