After a month of research, I finally figured out how to play in Jiande. There was a real traffic jam during Qingming Festival. It took 6 hours to drive from Shanghai to the downtown area of ​​Jiande. However, three days and two nights here is basically enough. I didn’t visit too many paid attractions. The former site of Zhejiang University's westward relocation is located at No. 153, Fuqian Road, Meicheng Town, Jiande City. During the Anti-Japanese War, it served as the temporary residence for Zhu Kezhen, the president of Zhejiang University, and his family, and was also used as a teaching site. Zhu Kezhen's old house was built in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. On the east side, there are two one-story classrooms, north and south. The eastern entrance hall was constructed during the Republic of China period, with a Western style, built with green bricks, and supported by four columns. The central entrance features a mountain flower decoration, a rather uncommon and distinctive architectural feature, making it a rare example of a Republic of China era entrance hall. On the west side is the two-story wooden structure where Zhu Kezhen lived at the time, built during the Qing Dynasty, simple yet exquisite in design.

| Yanzhou. During the National Day holiday, my family set out from Xianlin in Hangzhou at 6:30 in the morning to visit the ancient city of Yanzhou in Jiande. We arrived at the parking lot after 8 o'clock and found that it was already quite full, a testament to its popularity. After playing for about three hours and having lunch, we headed back in the afternoon. Since my parents are older, we couldn't stay too long, but it was still a very worthwhile trip. We hope to come back again to visit the places we missed this time. Yanzhou Prefecture was once as famous as Hangzhou Prefecture and Shaoxing Prefecture. Since its establishment as a county in the year 225, it has nearly 1800 years of history. The highlights of this trip include: 1. Ancient City Wall: The magnificent city wall, built in the 18th year of Muzhou, is located between the old town and the Xin'an River. The battlements are shaped like half a plum blossom, known from the saying 'Three and a half plum blossoms in the world, one in Beijing, one in Nanjing,' with the remaining half being in Meicheng; 2. Archways: Historically, Meicheng was very prosperous with bustling streets and many archways, at one time reaching over 100. The few remaining are said to commemorate the achievements of the Jiande Marquis in defending Yanzhou City, with inscriptions such as 'By Imperial Decree,' 'Bestowed by the Emperor,' 'Honored by Grace,' 'Sealed by Imperial Order'... Each archway has a history behind it, making the old town feel particularly weighty and significant; 3. Three Rivers: Located at the confluence of the Fuchun River, Xin'an River, and Lan River, with Wulong Mountain to the north and the mouth of the Three Rivers to the south. Meicheng Ancient Town Address: Jiande, Hangzhou Meicheng, formerly known as Yanzhou Prefecture, has a history of more than 1200 years and is on par with Hangzhou Prefecture. It is now a town under the jurisdiction of Jiande, Hangzhou. There are two and a half plum blossoms in the world, one in Beijing, one in Nanjing, and half in Yanzhou. It means that the city walls of Beijing and Nanjing (the capital) can be shaped like a whole plum blossom, and the city wall of Yanzhou is one layer shorter than the plum blossom city of the capital, which looks like half a plum blossom. The ancient town of Meicheng is very different from most imitation ancient commercial streets. The whole old city has a very strong atmosphere.
