In Dali | Forget the Shuanglang Ancient Town guide, look here!
Shuanglang Ancient Town doesn't need a guide, just wander
Countless guides and recommendations, but still nothing after walking for miles.
Luckily, we have free spirits and eyes for beauty.
Shuanglang's weather is unpredictable, rainy one day and sunny the next. We spent the first day hiding from the rain in the hotel, enjoying the sea view.
Fruits, afternoon tea, late-night snacks, and even souvenirs were all delivered to our room.
The hotel's attentiveness truly warmed our hearts.
This hotel is right by the Erhai Lake, offering stunning sea views without the hustle and bustle.
The room is spacious, with a private viewing balcony where you can lie down and admire Erhai Lake.
A giant projector screen made movie nights a blast for the kids.
Away from the noise, gazing at the sea, and enjoying the hotel's thoughtful service,
This vacation was so relaxing, we didn't want to leave.
There's a small courtyard on the 1st floor perfect for camping and lounging.
Don't miss the rooftop, a must-visit spot for scenic photos.
The view is truly breathtaking, and you'll have plenty of photo spots all to yourself.
Snap away! We really didn't want to leave the hotel.
📍 Qiyueli Seaview Resort Hotel
The next day, we opened the curtains to a stunning Erhai sunrise, blue skies, and white clouds.
This is the right way to experience Dali.
We rented an e-bike downstairs and strolled through the ancient town.
So many interesting little shops, eating and drinking along the way.
Enjoying the scenery, boating, feeding seagulls, playing with kittens…
In short, Shuanglang is perfect for slowing down, relaxing, and wandering.
📍 Shuanglang Ancient Town Nanzhao Island Pier
Riding along the coast is a delightful experience.
Bathed in sunshine, with the wind in your hair, there are many beautiful sights along the way that are worth stopping for.
Towards Luwoshan, about a 5-minute e-bike ride from the hotel,
we discovered flocks of seagulls.
No need to jostle with crowds, just enjoy feeding the seagulls.
The best scenery is truly found on the road. Forget the guides, use your eyes to discover.
