On a whim, I came up with a one-day trip to Nagasaki. I started from Saga and walked the whole way after arriving in Nagasaki. The bridge is named this way, because it has two arches under it, and the reflections of both arches in the water make it appear to have a pair of round framed spectacles. Along the canal, there are also lush trees that also change colour with the seasons, and you may spot a tree or two either in yellow, orange or red during the autumn season. Occasionally, there may be passers-by that walk along the stone pathway created in the waterway for a stroll, and to get closer to the “pair of spectacles”.
