【Take you to taste Southeast Asian dishes in one second】
I seldom go to Kowloon Bay when I have nothing to do.
So I go to Megabox mostly because I want to have dinner with friends after going to E-Max.
#米泰 is a restaurant full of Southeast Asian dishes.
My friends and I were all interested so we decided on this one, and it just so happened that they had a set meal for four people.
Maybe due to the shortage of staff, you have to wait a little while before being seated. During the meal, I saw people waiting for a table running into the restaurant to complain about this.
✨Set For Four ($768)
Includes snacks + main dishes + noodles + rice + vegetables + drinks.
🦐You can choose two snacks - Prawn and Smoked Salmon Rice Paper Roll (8 pieces) The vegetables are very fresh and crispy, paired with chewy prawns. The addition of smoked salmon adds an extra dimension to the flavor.
✨Another choice - charcoal grilled satay chicken and pork skewers. There are two strings of each. It wasn't burnt to dryness, and the meat was still tender. Satay is also delicious, but it would be better if it could be served separately.
🦀️You can also choose 2 main dishes - crab meat curry with pancakes. As expected, there is crab meat in every bite, and the curry is a bit spicy. It was nice with the crispy and non-greasy chapatis, and the curry portion was generous.
🐓MiThai’s secret Hainanese chicken (half chicken)
Compared to other dishes, Hainanese chicken is not that surprising.
Only one of the three sauces was good, and one of them seemed to be just oil!? The chicken was tender though.
🍜The main dish I chose is - Mitai Superior Lemon Noodle Soup
There are beef ribs, beef balls, beef shanks, fried pork skin, and tofu puffs. Each one is very tasty, and the lemon vermicelli has a smooth texture.
🥬It's great that vegetables are included in the set meal - if you like spicy cabbage sprouts, you can choose Malachan, if you don't like spicy, you can choose stir-fried with garlic. We chose the former, both are fragrant and tasty.
🥬Because my friend wanted to eat it, so I ordered more - Thai King Clam Lettuce Wrap ($92)
The clam meat is very sweet and chewy, and the ratio with the minced meat is just right. The addition of onions and other ingredients makes the overall texture richer. It is delicious when wrapped in fresh lettuce.
Drinks in the set menu are either free or paid for.
🥭Mango Coconut Smoothie (+$12)
It looks and tastes like Yangzhi Ganlu.
I personally recommend Thai milk tea, which is not too sweet. There are also grapefruit jasmine green tea and Thai lime black tea, which are quite a lot of choices.
Total: $959 (including 10% service charge)
Average price per person: $240.
