I guess this noble city must have been loved by the highest echelons of power throughout the ages, which is why this ancient capital, both a military fortress and a gathering place for the powerful, was built in the heart of the Mediterranean. Imagine the bustling scenes of Romans, Arabs, and Normans coming and going here. It also became the initial preferred filming location for King's Landing in Game of Thrones. Although the final King's Landing was not filmed here, the scene where Daenerys rides into the city was shot here, and the city gate still retains its well-preserved medieval appearance.
