The eagle sculpture on the exterior facade is quite striking, standing guard at the entrance and surveying the surroundings. This McDonald's in Porto is situated next to the bustling City Hall Liberty Square, so it attracts a lot of people, mostly crowding the first floor and outdoor seating. However, the basement also offers a spacious dining area with fewer people. As for the menu, it's quite similar to other locations. I always make it a point to visit one of the McDonald's branches in every city or country that I visit. If you are a fan of the fast food chain like me and plan to visit Porto, you should check out this particular McDonald's branch in the heart of Porto which is often said to be the most beautiful McDonald's in the world. Opened in 1995, the restaurant is housed in a historical building from the 1930s used to be known as the Imperial Cafe. I stopped by the restaurant for some dessert and was greeted by a giant bronze eagle sculpture at the entrance. Once inside, I could not help but marvel at the magnificent stained glass windows and crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. I had a good time enjoying my dessert while admiring its beautiful interior. A must visit in Porto, especially as it has been called the most beautiful McDonalds in the world. It used to be Imperial Cafe, but now it is Maccas food chain store. It looks grand and is guarded by security guards. The interior is in Art Deco style with beautiful stained glass and excellent lighting fixtures. However, the food is the same as everywhere else, which is a bit disappointing...if you don't like burgers, maybe have a coffee and enjoy the healthy interior. #2024TravelWish
