I heard that this is the departure point of the Titanic. I didn't go in when I came here before because there was a sailing station here. I chose a day with good weather to come here and take a look. The sun shining on the sea is super beautiful. Surprisingly, the seabirds are not flying in the sky. They are all resting on the lawn. I guess they are taking a lunch break. Hahahaha. When the weather is fine, it is a good place to relax in Mayflower Park.

It was built on land reclaimed from mud flats in the 1930s, on most of which the new western docks were built. It was originally called the Royal Pier Recreation Ground, and by 1955 at least part of it was being used as an unofficial car park.
