I celebrated the New Year with friends from all over the world and listened to them share their stories of China, which was very meaningful. ❤️ 🚗 Transportation: High-speed trains go directly to [Fuzhou Station] and [Fuzhou South Station], both of which are not far from the city center. The subway, bus, and taxi are all very convenient and inexpensive. 🏨 Accommodation It is recommended to stay near Sanfang Qixiang, where there are many options and it is convenient to go anywhere. I stayed at Sanbao Bindi Hotel in Sanfang Qixiang, which is quiet in the middle of the hustle and bustle. As soon as you enter the lobby, you can see a huge lacquerware work. The furniture in the public area and rooms is also very exquisite, mostly made of Burmese teak and red sandalwood. The rooms are simple and elegant, with a view in each room. The room I stayed in also had a tea room and a small courtyard. It is located in the central coastal area of Fujian Province, surrounded by mountains and the sea. Due to its unique terrain of "eight mountains, one water, and one field," Putian cuisine combines the freshness of seafood with the rich flavors of the mountains. We had four dishes in total. 1⃣️Extra large fish balls 6💰 I couldn't bite the meat when I took the first bite, hahahaha It doesn't seem to be very large, just slightly larger than a spoon. 2⃣️Eel skin soup 10💰 The fish skin here is pretty good, quite fresh, chewy and full of collagen. There is no strong fishy smell when you take it for a whole meal. 3⃣️Shark soup 10💰 I feel like the shark fin here is coated with too much powder. The authentic way to eat it in Fuzhou is to add pepper powder. 4⃣️Mixed noodles 5💰 The noodles here are quite unique, with a mixture of peanut butter and scallion oil sauce. Luoxing Tower, also known as China Tower or Grinding Heart Tower, is located on Luoxing Mountain in Mawei District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, and is a remnant of ancient architecture from the Ming Dynasty. Luoxing Tower serves as a navigational lighthouse, a symbol of the Fuzhou port, and is recognized internationally as one of the important sea marks. It is marked on many world nautical charts. The tower is an octagonal seven-story imitation pavilion-style stone tower, built with granite, and is solidly constructed. In front of Luoxing Tower, there is a couplet from the Qing Dynasty, which reads: 'Morning and evening tides, long and ceaseless flow.' This couplet can be interpreted as 'Morning tides, tides in the morning and evening; constantly rising, constantly rising and ebbing.' The couplet was written in the early Qing Dynasty, and the author is unknown. It uses the characteristic of multiple pronunciations for a single Chinese character to depict the daily rise and fall of the river tides. Luoxing Tower is hollow, with a total height of about 30 meters and a base diameter of 8.6 meters. Each level of the tower has eaves and platforms, with arched doors and stone railings, and the doors and windows of the tower body adopt Southern Chinese style. Visitors can climb up the tower. There are eight Buddhas at the corners of the eaves, and bells hang below. At the top of Luoxing Tower, there was originally a small window for the keeper to light the lamp for navigation. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, a typhoon blew away the tower spire. During reconstruction, the Mawei Shipyard specially made an iron ball nearly seven meters in circumference to serve as the spire. The base of the iron ball is broad, allowing visitors to sit steadily on it and look out over the railing. Luoxing Tower's zero point is the benchmark for surveying in the entire Fujian province. Around Luoxing Tower, many cliff inscriptions, stele inscriptions, and remnants of ancient forts and battlements from the Ming Dynasty to the Republic of China period are preserved. On May 3, 2013, Luoxing Tower was announced by the State Council of the People's Republic of China as the seventh batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Fuzhou Ship Administration Cultural Scenic Area is located in Mawei District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. It is the first theme park in China with a focus on ship administration culture tourism, and it is the largest ship administration cultural base in the country as well as a patriotism education base in Fuzhou City. Mawei is situated at the mouth of the Min River in Fujian, just across the water from Taiwan. It has been the maritime gateway for Fuzhou since ancient times and was designated as one of the five treaty ports in the modern era. As early as 1866, Zuo Zongtang and Shen Baozhen founded the Fujian Ship Administration here. This was the first professional machinery shipbuilding factory in modern China, marking the beginning of a series of vigorous 'enrich the country and strengthen the military' activities, including building shipyards, constructing warships, manufacturing airplanes, establishing schools, recruiting talent, and sending students abroad for study. These efforts cultivated and produced a group of outstanding industrial and technological talents and distinguished naval officers of modern China, represented by figures such as Yan Fu, Zhan Tianyou, Sa Zhenbing, and Deng Shichang. They pioneered the spirit of 'observing the world with a detached view' and boldly proposed to 'look at the world with a cold eye'. By introducing advanced Western science and technology, spreading Chinese and Western cultures, and promoting the modernization process of China, it is known as the 'Living Fossil' of modern Chinese history.

Summer is hot everywhere, so why not head into the mountains? There are many wild mountains in Fuzhou, and there are quite a few hiking trails to choose from. This time, I would like to recommend the hiking trails around Junshan in Mawei. ⭕Junshan Hiking Trail Junzhu Roundabout--Hemei Bridge--Zhenzhu Pool--Wangqi Building Reservoir--Xiaoguilin--Shuian Junshan Community--Junzhu Roundabout Ps: In fact, many people only know about Xiaoguilin in Mawei, but are not aware of the beauty of Junshan; actually, Xiaoguilin is part of Junshan in Mawei, and the scenery there is very beautiful. There are many large and small, overlapping, oddly shaped rocks on the mountain, among which the Du Xiu Peak is the most peculiar (you can go and see it if you have the chance), and it can be said to be an excellent place to view the mountain and water scenery around Fuzhou. ⭕What to pay attention to when hiking Junshan: ⦿ There are many forks in the road when going up and down the mountain, and if there is no leader to guide, it is best to download tracks or make full preparations with apps like 'Six Feet' or 'Two Steps'. ⦿ Some sections of Junshan are walked on top of huge rocks, with cliffs on one or both sides, so those who are afraid of heights should be extra cautious. ⦿ Be sure to check the weather conditions. If rain is possible, it is not recommended to take this route as the roads can be slippery when wet, and there is a possibility of falling off in some sections. ⦿ The Junshan hiking trail is diverse, pay attention to the trail markers left by other hikers; if you encounter other hikers, you can ask for directions to confirm your own position; ⦿ When hiking in the mountains, take measures to protect against wind, sun, and scratches, like in Xiaoguilin in Mawei, where the wind on the mountaintop is super strong; the weeds along the way are quite high, so be careful not to get scratched. ⭕How to reach the starting point of the hiking trail?
