Matthias Church is located in Budapest, Hungary. It is a beautiful and historic building. Its outside looks very fancy with lots of details and colorful roof tiles. Inside, there are pretty paintings on the walls and lovely stained glass windows. The church is important because it hosted important ceremonies like coronations and weddings for kings and queens. It's located in a nice area called the Buda Castle district. The view from there is lovely and it is really good for taking pictures there.

Finest Church at Buda Castle Hill
When the Matthias Church was built in the 13th century, it was the first and finest church in the town of Buda. It was a masterpiece of Hungarian Gothic art.
It is located at 2 Szentharomsag ter, 1014 Budapest, and is open Monday to Friday from 0900-1700, Saturday 0900-1300 and Sunday 1300-1700. The most effortless reach is taking bus number 16 from Deak Ferenc ter metro station (M1, 2 and 3).
The facade of the church flanked by the Bela and Matyas towers. The roof is decorated with glazed-tiles similar to Burgundian roofs. The lavish inner decorative paintwork of the building is inspired by the original, medieval patterns.

Matthias Church
The Church of the Assumption of the Buda Castle, more commonly known as the Matthias Church, more rarely the Coronation Church of Buda, is a Roman Catholic church located in the Holy Trinity Square, Budapest, Hungary, in front of the Fisherman's Bastion at the heart of Buda's Castle District. According to church tradition, it was originally built in Romanesque style in 1015, although few references exist. The current building was constructed in the florid late Gothic style in the second half of the 14th century and was extensively restored in the late 19th century. It was the second largest church of medieval Buda and the seventh largest church of the medieval Hungarian Kingdom. #travelinspiration

The interiors of this church are special with beautiful painted walls and ceilings. Well worth a visit when visiting the Castle Hill.

The vaults of the Matthias Church are particularly spectacular, all inlaid in stained glass, and they are beautifully patterned to shine in the sun. There are several pointed towers on either side of the church, the tallest of which is cylindrical. The lower part of the lower part is covered with five long windows with pointed vaults. It looks like a carved ivory tower, and then it becomes steeper and thinner, as if a sword inserted there is pointing to the sky.

The Matthias Church is named after the King of Hungary, Matthew I. This church also witnessed the rise and fall of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Princess Sissi and her husband were crowned here as kings of Hungary and later, and were the site of the last monarch of Habsburg. There are too many historical events happening here.
The second floor of the church has a statue of Princess Sissi who became crown of the Hungarian Queen and some other exhibits. Although the interior of the church is magnificent, I feel that there is more to see outside.
The church was once ransacked and destroyed. The former Gothic architecture was revived. The restoration work hosted by Frigyes Schulek added many new elements to the roof of the church, such as the most typical diamond group. And the tip of the drip nozzle.

Budapest Castle
#churches Budapest church is so beautiful and great to see on the river cruise tour at night. The river cruise tour is only £14 for one hour and I would definitely recommend standing outside to get the best views. You see Budapest church, Budapest castle and Budapest parliament building. Super beautiful and looks like huge candles flowing on the hill. Recommend!

Matthias Church.
The Matthias Church in Hungary is the most beautiful and largest church I have ever seen.
Location: Right next to Fisherman's Bastion, you can visit both attractions together.
Tickets: You need to buy a ticket to enter, but I think it's definitely worth going inside.
The entire church is very magnificent and very large inside. Every decoration and carving is very exquisite, very magnificent and beautiful. It is also very suitable for taking photos. The feeling of entering the church: 'Under the holy light, looking up, everything is splendid and glorious.'

If you're not physically fit, definitely don't climb the bell tower
Budapest's Fisherman's Bastion has a very famous church nearby, which tour groups usually visit for sightseeing and check-ins.
The Gothic church was not originally called this name. It was renamed after the Hungarian King Matthias held his wedding here.
You need to buy a ticket to visit the church, and there is a ticket office right across from it, where card payments are very convenient. In addition to the church ticket, there is a bell tower next to it that you can also buy a ticket to visit separately. However, the bell tower visit has a designated time, and there is usually a sign next to the bell tower, because a group of people need to catch the same time, and then there is a guide who gives a brief explanation.
Be prepared for a physical workout if you're climbing the bell tower, as there are just under three hundred steps, and the passageway can only accommodate one person's width, so if you don't want to be the one being rushed, walk at the back haha.
Honestly, climbing is really tiring, but the view from the top is also really beautiful. If you have the physical strength and the timing is right, consider taking a look~

Beautiful Matthias Church
#wheretogo
One of the most beautiful, opulent, and magical churches I have ever seen.
The church has such a colorful roof tiles, which are a unique and striking feature of the Budapest skyline.
With a breathtaking view of the Danube and the other side of the river. Although I did not go inside, just walking around the outside is unbelievably amazing!
In front of the church there is the fisherman's bastion, creating a nice and beautiful atmosphere. Totally recommended to visit!

Go to Budapest to find a fairy tale world, nanny-level guide.
On one side of the river is Buda, on the other side is Pest. A chain bridge connects the two cities, creating Budapest. This city, known as the "Pearl of the Danube", is the favorite city in Eastern Europe. Here are some must-visit attractions in Budapest:
🌟 Vintage Yellow Tram: Obsessed with the yellow tram on the streets. This type of tram can be found all over Budapest, and its vintage style matches the city's atmosphere. Trams run back and forth on the Green Bridge.
🌟Green Bridge: The Green Bridge, also known as the Freedom Bridge, is not actually named after freedom, but after Franz Joseph. Yes, the emperor husband of Empress Sisi. Movies are movies, and art is indeed higher than life. Empress Sisi lived her whole life for freedom, so it makes sense to rename the bridge after freedom.
🌟Matthias Church: Matthias Church is a beautiful neo-Gothic church and one of the symbols of Budapest. It contains various colors of Hungarian folklore, Art Nouveau style, and Turkish design, especially the white spire and colorful roof next to it, adding some interest and vividness to the whole church. The painted glass and murals inside the church are also highlights not to be missed.
🌟Fisherman's Bastion: Located next to the Matthias Church, Fisherman's Bastion is a neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque lookout where you can overlook the Danube River and the Parliament Building. However, it is crowded with tourists all day long, so if you want to take pictures with fewer people, you still need to get up early.
🌟Palace: Taking a leisurely stroll in front of the palace gate is a serious matter for tourists visiting Budapest. The observation deck is free to enter, but as a person without much cultural knowledge, I probably wouldn't understand much in the museum inside. The most enjoyable activity is riding the small cable car up the hill, where you can see the Parliament Building on the opposite bank from the observation deck. Of course, there are also many tourists.
🌟Parliament Building: The Parliament Building is a typical Gothic architecture, standing on the banks of the Danube River. This building, which took 8 years to complete and is 96 meters high, used a luxurious 40 kilograms of gold as building materials. It is said that the reason why the height is 96 meters is because the Kingdom of Hungary was founded in AD 896, and it was founded again in 1896, so it has a commemorative significance.
🌟Garrett Mountain: Garrett Mountain is a great place to take night scenery photos. The Viking cruise ship is docked at the foot of the mountain. The mountain is not high, probably about the same height as Sheshan. The round trip is very easy, and if you feel tired, you can take a taxi up and down the mountain. There is a Statue of Liberty on the top of the mountain, where you can overlook the panoramic view of the Danube River.

St. Matthias Church is one of the most famous attractions in Budapest. This luxurious neo-gothic church is splendid with colorful, colorful tiles on the top and a colourful roof and vivid murals. Liszt's "Hungarian Coronation Mass" was premiered here in 1867 when Franz Joseph and Princess Sissi were crowned
because the coronation ceremony of the Hungarian kings was held here, and there was "crying The church's name
church's vault is particularly spectacular, all inlaid with colored glass, into a beautiful pattern, shining in the sun
13th century so far, many times, after the change of the era of change, The Matthias Church was transformed from the earliest Catholic Church to a mosque in the Turkish occupation, and later joined the Baroque and New Gothic flavors, thus achieving a modern and distinctive church.

The Matthias Church is just adjacent to Budapest's most famous fisherman's fort, and sits on the Castle Hill, forming the most fascinating, romantic and fairytale view of Budapest.
From the old town of Budapest, cross the beautiful Danube along the Szechenyi Chain Bridge, climb along the lush mountaineering trails and you will reach the top of the castle in a short time. The imposing church of Matthias is quietly situated on the top of the mountain, complementing the back of the fisherman's fort and setting off each other to form a dreamy landscape.
The front of the church is dignified and magnificent. On both sides of the main hall of the triangle, there is a black spire on one side, and a tall and quaint tower on the other side goes straight into the sky, revealing the momentum of the whole church.
With the charming night, climb the Castle Hill alone, walk into this beautiful cathedral, together with the Castle Hill behind the church, as if entering a beautiful fairy tale world, cross the church, climb the fortress next to it, overlooking The Danube River in the night, and the splendid parliament building on the other side of the river, seems to have entered a dreamland, deeply shocked by the magnificent scenery
night church, under the light of the lights, with the day is very Big difference. Although there was some cool breeze on the top of the mountain, the orange light shone it. Next to the fisherman's fort, it is also full of colorful colors, the two are intertwined, only to be able to feel the incredible romance. It is precisely because of this that it has become one of the churches with the highest success rate in the world.

The main entrance of the church faces west, and the main station faces east. It feels a little unbelievable at first, and then listens to the explanation: the dawn that implied the darkness is coming. The visit to the
Magaches church is roughly divided into three parts, the main hall of the church, the second and third floor of the church, the small balcony, and the church bell tower. The main hall and the exhibition are inside the church, and the church bell tower needs to be purchased separately.
1. The ticket office of the Matthias Church is located opposite the church, in a small house on the west side of Fisherman's Bastion. From here you can buy tickets for the main hall of the church, the church bell tower, and the second floor of Fisherman's Bastion. All tickets can be purchased and used separately.
2. The main hall of the church is open from 9 am to 5 pm and is considered by one to be one of the most worthwhile churches.
3. The opening time of the church bell tower is the same as that of the main hall, but since the clock tower must be guided by the staff and only once per hour, it is necessary to purchase tickets in advance and arrange the summit time.
4. The climbing steps of the church bell tower are very narrow and indeed very high, and physical strength needs to be arranged.
The sight of the Matthias Church:
1 The memorial column on the Trinity Square outside the Matthias Church was established to commemorate the elimination of the Black Death in the 18th century, and now from this memorial column The appearance can be seen in which area is rich. On the inner wall of the church, there is also a painting of the crow that rescues the poisonous ring in the mouth of the King Margarsh.
3 There is a scene in which the movie Princess Sissi accepts the crown, and it is also the place where King Joseph and Princess Sissi were crowned as the king and queen of Hungary.
