Visit the Horn of the Meadow in Zermatt
📍Zermatt
Matterhorn, which means 'Horn of the Meadow'.
It's the model on the Toblerone chocolate🍫 packaging, right? 😆
🚊 From Interlaken to Zermatt
Interlaken East Station - Spiez Station - Visp Station - Zermatt Station
Takes about 2 hours
🚉 From Zermatt to Gornergrat
Mountain train costs 110 francs (50% discount with Swiss Pass)
Takes about 30 minutes
When you come to Zermatt, visiting the Gornergrat viewpoint is a must! You can see the Matterhorn in a panoramic view.
The view while taking the mountain train up is also spectacular.
However, on days with bad weather, the Matterhorn may be hidden by clouds. Be sure to check the weather‼️
We also had a meal at the cafeteria at the Gornergrat viewpoint, but it wasn't particularly delicious, just enough to fill our stomachs. 🤭

Matterhorn is one of the majestic presence , full of rich history and a beautiful nature place ! When I first visited Switzerland, Zermatt is the first place that I visited as I would like to see the iconic-pyramid-shapes mountain. Before going, I saw lots of people using the pyramid chocolate to match the mountain, now finally I am able to do it!
Moreover, I have been taken lots of picture about the mountains and river in there as well. Love it !

The Mighty Matterhorn
Luxury Ski Holidays in the Matterhorn Valley of Cervinia, Italy offer some of the most superb skiing in the Alps. Cervinia is a high altitude resort at 2000 meters, dominated by the mighty Matterhorn, with reliable snow conditions throughout the Winter from December right through to April. The long, open runs and easy gradients of Plateau Rosa are ideal for advanced beginners and intermediates from which you can enjoy some fantastic views. More advanced skiers can head to Valtournenche and Zermatt, Switzerland for an incredible ski area at their disposal. Valtournenche is an old village approximately 9 km from Cervinia whilst Zermatt is on the Swiss side, both link into the ski area of Cervinia.
Cervinias biggest asset is its altitude and skiing continues well into the summer months on the attractive Plateau Rosa, set against a magnificent glacial backdrop. In addition there are plentiful winter activities to be undertaken such as ice-skating, snowshoes walking, snow bike, paragliding and climbing on the beautiful Via Ferrara del Gorbeillon.

Do you know Toblerone chocolate? I guest most ppl ate it before or heard of it. The mountain on the package is Matterhorn! I finally get to see it in real! I just live this place so much!
The only sad thing is I didn’t get to ski because you can only ski in the morning during the summer time! If you are interested in skiing in there during summer, remember to go in the morning!

The main street of the town is 1500 meters long.

There are three classic routes from Zermatt, the Gornergrat, the Rothorn and the Matterhorn glacier paradise.
Article 1: Zermatt-Gornergrat
Since the opening of the Gora Glat Mountain Railway in 1898, as long as you take the mountain train and sit for 45 minutes, you can enjoy 29 seats including the Matterhorn. In the Alps, you can see the beautiful scenery that only climbers can see in the past.
this
Second: Zermatt-Rothorn
This line feels like the most beautiful route, because the Matterhorn seen at the Rothorn Lookout at 3103 meters above sea level is the sharpest and most angled. Good, and a little later you can see the Fendern Glacier lying quietly in the mountains, also a gazebo
third that can simultaneously admire the Matterhorn and the glacier: Zermatt-Matterhorn glacier paradise/ Compared with the first two lines, hh/ is the farthest from the town, but it is the closest one to Matterhorn. Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, also known as the Little Matterhorn, can be reached by cable car. The observation deck is 3,883 meters above sea level. It is the observatory where the highest point in Europe is located.

Located in the peaks of the Alps, Zermatt is known as the City of Glaciers and is a world-famous mountain-free tourist attraction.
The most unique is that there are no cars in this city, only battery cars. The town of Zermatt, known as the City of Glaciers, is located among the peaks of the Alps and is a world-famous mountain-free tourist attraction. The environment is elegant and the air is fresh, with magnificent views of the mountains and glaciers. The 38 peaks above 4000 meters above sea level surround Zermatt and the total length of the ski runs is 245 kilometers.
Zermat is the world's top ski resort and a hiking and trekking destination with mature routes, with excellent snow quality, in addition to excellent hiking trails and ski slopes, as well as glacier fit chairs, fun ski seats, one-legged Snowboarding and other snow sports.

The most beautiful peak in Europe, the king of the Alps.
Everyone has a supreme mountain in their hearts to look up to. For Chinese people, it may be the majestic and sacred Mount Everest; for Japanese people, it may be the elegant and mysterious Mount Fuji. But in the hearts of many Europeans, the "sacred mountain" is the king of the Alps - the Matterhorn.
Switzerland is a veritable "mountain kingdom". The Alps, known as the "backbone of Europe", account for about 60% of its land area. There are 48 peaks over 4,000 meters above sea level and more than 3,350 peaks over 2,000 meters above sea level. The Matterhorn, at an altitude of 4,478 meters, is not the highest, but its pyramid-shaped mountain body stands alone in the sky, piercing the sky, overlooking the peaks, and is recognized by Europeans as the "king of the Alps". It attracts countless tourists every day to witness its style.
If you want to experience the Matterhorn, you must come to Zermatt in the Valais region of southwestern Switzerland. This hidden mountain city is hidden in the hinterland of the Alps, located at the foot of the Matterhorn, surrounded by mountains, and for environmental reasons, the city is closed to oil cars all year round.
Zermatt, known as the "City of Glaciers", is small but a famous tourist destination in Switzerland. It is famous for the Matterhorn and is also a world-class ski resort and mountaineering and hiking paradise. The town in the mountain nest is distributed with houses, hotels, restaurants and various shops. Walking on the street, most of them are professional climbers, tour groups and backpackers who come here for their reputation. In winter, there are many skiers, making the original quiet town full of hustle and bustle.
Walking in Zermatt, you can see the magnificent snow mountain scenery when you look up, especially the majestic Matterhorn is like a guard guarding this hidden secret. Coming to Zermatt, if you want to watch the best Matterhorn heroism up close, you must go to the top viewing platform. The recommended way to climb the mountain is to take the local "Gornergrat" cogwheel mountain train (Gornergrat Bahn). This is the first electric cogwheel train in Switzerland. It officially operated in 1898 and has a history of over 100 years.
Take the train up the mountain, the Matterhorn is all the way, all the way amazing! This time we chose to get off at Rotenboden Station, and then walk 15 minutes from the station to Riffelsee. You can enjoy the beautiful reflection of the Matterhorn by the lake, and the photos are super out.
Then take the train from Rotenboden Station to the Gornergrat viewing platform at an altitude of 3089 meters. This is the best place to see the Matterhorn. You can almost look at the Matterhorn. Standing here, you can see the beautiful scenery of 29 peaks over 4,000 meters above sea level, including the Matterhorn, which is breathtaking.
When going down the mountain, we chose to get off at Riffelalp Station, walk a few minutes to the restaurant on the hillside for lunch, eat crispy pork while enjoying the Matterhorn close at hand, it is an unforgettable dining experience. After eating and drinking, take the car down the mountain and return to Zermatt.

Mount Cervino
Mount Cervino, also known as the Matterhorn, is one of the most iconic and recognizable mountains in the world. Located in the Pennine Alps on the border between Switzerland and Italy, it stands at an elevation of 4,478 meters (14,692 feet). The mountain has a distinctive pyramid shape, making it a popular subject in photography and a famous challenge for climbers. It straddles the border between Switzerland (Canton of Valais) and Italy (Aosta Valley). The first successful ascent was made on July 14, 1865, by a team led by Edward Whymper, but the descent ended tragically with four of the seven climbers falling to their deaths. The two most popular routes for climbers are the Hörnli Ridge (from Switzerland) and the Lion Ridge (from Italy).
Zermatt in Switzerland and Breuil-Cervinia in Italy are the two main resort towns near the Matterhorn, offering a variety of outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, and mountaineering.

Matterhorn in Switzerland|I also have a screen-opening photo!!
I'm so lucky! Encountered a sunny day☀️
I was deeply shocked by the beauty of the Matterhorn⛰️!!
I took countless photos, and I was amazed at the natural scenery along the way.
It can be said that it was a visual feast😭
I saw the prototype mountain of the triangular chocolate🍫 with my own eyes, and I was really happy.
I took a cogwheel train up the mountain🚂, there are five stops in total⬇️
-Findelbach
-Riffelalp
-Riffelberg
-Rotenboden (photo check-in place📷)
-Gornergrat (terminal)
We went directly to the terminal, and then went to the penultimate station when we went down the mountain by car, and we didn't get off at the other three stations~
⚠️It is recommended that everyone sit on the right side of the direction of the train when going up the mountain! You can see the mountain better! The last two stations have the best scenery🏔️ and are most suitable for taking pictures!
We played for about 2-3 hours and then returned to Zermatt.
Then we went to the Matterhorn Viewpoint (P9)
It takes about 17 minutes to walk from Zermatt train station.
It might look better when the lights are on in the evening, we went during the day, and I feel that the scenery seen directly by the train up the mountain is more shocking

Matterhorn, located in Zermatt, Valais, Switzerland, at an altitude of 4,478 meters, is the most beautiful mountain in the Alps and a symbol of pride in Switzerland. The posture of the sky, pointing to the sky, its special triangular cone shape, has become the representative of the Alps, whenever the sun shines, the snowy mountain reflects the metal light.

The Matterhorn is 4,478 meters above sea level and is a symbol of the Alps. In Europe, it is also praised as the king of the mountains. Unparalleled masculinity and majestic temperament, so that the surrounding peaks of the hustle and bustle can only be bowed to the feet. Although it is not the first peak of the Alps, its popularity is definitely the most prosperous. Because of his unique pyramid triangle shape, it became the first symbol of the Swiss. Also because the mountain type is too steep, it has become a dream that the climber must conquer in his life. Next to it is a whole glaciers, the second most famous glaciers in Europe: the Gorner Glacier, along the foothills of the Alps, to the far skies. If there is a paradise, is it there, how long will it look like? Its so beautiful! This is the real mountain, the big water, and it is so easy to let you have a panoramic view.

Before I saw the Matterhorn, I only saw the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. I was very excited to see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the ancient town of Dayan.
arrived in Zermatt in the middle of the night. The next morning, I set off to see the snow-capped mountains. On the way to the mountain train, I was completely shocked by the surrounding scenery. I actually shed tears. I lament that I am very lucky. Seeing such a beautiful scenery, I can sigh that nature can be so beautiful! Most burning, I want to say something to my parents, thank you!
This may be the charm of Snow Mountain, and suddenly understand those friends who yearn for Tibet.
seems to want to stay here, open an inn, nothing to look at the snowy mountains, I feel that is the real life

On another gear train, we came to the starting point of the Wuhu Trail. There are five small lakes on this road, such as amber, scattered in the valley. When it came out of the cable car station, it was hit by the surging autumn colors. Among the rolling hills, the Matterhorn was still proud of the sky, surrounded by pine forests, autumn, and golden in the sun.
Walking not far, you can reach the lake of Leisee. The lake is quite large, the lake is crystal clear, and the sleeping stones in the water are different. The Matterhorn carries the boundless autumn colors and reflects in the water. The leisurely tourists are lying or sitting by the lake, breathing the wonderful autumn, soaking in the uniqueness. In the scenery, look at the book and look up at the mountain, enjoying the slow time.
Follow the narrow path along the mountainside to the next lake. From time to time, you can meet people walking or even riding on the trails. Among them, there are many young children, walking or riding, walking through the scenery, and also becoming the scenery in our shots. Unknowingly, I met the second lake, Moosjisee, which is small in size, but the water is magnificent, like the same pool of glass, set in autumn.
Due to the limited physical strength of the peers, we have only walked along the Wuhu Trail. The latter Grensee, Grindjisee, Stellisee need to walk longer and climb to the steep slope to be seen. It is said that the last lake also has the beautiful reflection of the Matterhorn. This time, it is the best reason to come back to Matterhorn.

Among the alpine mountains of the Alps, Matterhorn is one of the coldest. She is covered with snow all the year round, proudly independent, and the mountains are straight into the sky. For all those who love photography, such poses, curves, and fascinating reflections are incurable poisons.
We live in Zermatt at the foot of the mountain. Early the next morning, take the first gear train and go to the Riffelsee lake to shoot the sunrise. From the station along the gravel hillside stumbled into the dream, everything was silent. Matt Hunfeng stands proudly on the horizon, the mountains are not grassy, the snow is vertical and horizontal, and the skin without the snow is shining with blue light. The left and right ridges stretch and guard the main peak. In the early morning, the ice lake is as flat as a mirror, and the algae in the water are vague, and the snow peaks reflect. The rocks along the lake were scattered, and the grass was covered with frost, but the nameless white velvet was also tenaciously opened.
We set up a tripod by the lake, quietly waiting for the first dawn in this cold wonderland. The sun climbed up the Dome Peak not far away, and slowly descended to the spire of Matterhorn, and gradually smeared it and ignited it. In such a peerless landscape, you will always think of a lot of things that you have experienced, people you have loved, people who have lost, and faces that have been forgotten - they always seem to stay in the corner of memory. This moment is also illuminated by the sun. When the entire ridge is awakened, the glow of the lake is stained with water, and as the picture trembles with the light, everything begins to heat up and the dream gradually dissipates I realize that I have forgotten to press the shutter for myself.

There are many beautiful peaks in the Alps with an altitude of more than 4,000 meters. But if the most representative mountain is the one, the most answer is the Matterhorn. In fact, we are very familiar with this image. It is the famous triangle chocolate. The source of inspiration for the packaging. If you look carefully, there is a small artificial white spot on the peak of this blade. It is the alpine hut Solvay Hut. It is small and it is only used in an emergency, so the facilities are much simpler. But don't underestimate it. The altitude of 4003 meters makes it the tallest cabin in the world, and the imposing manner alongside the majestic Matterhorn is enough to kill all the cabins.
