This Mosque Has Been Made As Pahang's State Mosque Because Kuala Lipis Was The Capital Of Pahang Before It Moved To Kuantan. The First Imam Of This Mosque Was mam Awang From Indonesia. Imam Kawi, Who Was The Second Imam Of This Mosque, Was Also The First Local To Become The Imam At This Mosque. Currently, The Salaries Of The Imams Are Paid By Using The Money Collected FromZakat. The First Imam To Receive Salary From The Government Was Imam Salih Bin Hussin. According To Folktales, One Of The Specialties Of This Mosque Was It Has Never Been Submerged By Flood Even Though The Town Of Lipis Has Been Hit By Major Flood Several Times. The Position Of The Mosque Located By The Edge Of Sungai Jelai Also Did Not Affect It Despite The Flood.
