The Kota Kinabalu City Mosque on the Bay of Ayurveda, Sabah, Malaysia, is built on an artificial lake. When the weather is fine, the water is calm and mirrored. The reflection of the mosque is like a landscape. The whole building feels like floating. On the water, it is also known as the floating mosque. Many travelers choose this place as an ideal location for sunset viewing, as the Floating Mosque is one of the most magnificent mosques in Malaysia's sunset landscape.

As the name suggests, the water mosque in Kota Kinabalu is a mosque built on an artificial lake. It was built in 1997 and is a typical Islamic building in Malaysia. When I came to the mosque, the weather was very good. From afar, Tianshui became one, and the blue sky and white clouds made the mosque especially beautiful.

Located on the banks of the Likas Bay, the Sabah City Mosque was built in 1997 and covers a hectare of land. It is a typical contemporary Islamic building and one of the most magnificent mosques in Malaysia. As it is built on the man-made lake in Likas Bay, it feels like it is floating above the water, so it is also known as the floating mosque. The stunning white building contrasts beautifully against the blue sky.
Tips: The reflection is only available in the morning and evening. It is almost 12 MYR from the city to take a taxi to the mosque.

Floating Mosque in Borneo
Nestled amidst the bustling cityscape of Kota Kinabalu, the Masjid Bandaraya stands as a beacon of tranquility and architectural splendor. As I stepped into its serene grounds, I was immediately struck by the majestic beauty of this iconic landmark.
The mosque’s distinctive design, blending modern Islamic architecture with traditional Malay influences, creates a captivating sight that draws visitors from far and wide. Its elegant domes and graceful minarets rise proudly against the backdrop of the vibrant city, offering a breathtaking sight both day and night.
Upon entering the mosque, I was enveloped in a sense of peace and serenity. The spacious prayer hall, adorned with intricate Islamic motifs and bathed in soft light filtering through stained glass windows, provided a sacred space for contemplation and prayer. The soothing sound of flowing water from the courtyard fountain added to the tranquil atmosphere, inviting visitors to pause and reflect.
One of the most remarkable features of Masjid Bandaraya is its unique location. Built on a man-made lagoon, the mosque appears to float gracefully on the water, creating a stunning visual spectacle that is truly unforgettable. The surrounding gardens and pathways offer a picturesque setting for leisurely strolls and quiet moments of introspection.
During my visit, I was impressed by the warm hospitality of the mosque staff, who welcomed visitors with open arms and provided insightful guidance on Islamic culture and traditions. Their dedication to ensuring a memorable experience for all visitors was truly commendable.

Sabah is a place where it is easy to see two beautiful places. There is a gentle mirrored beach on the beach. There is a city mosque standing on the water side in Kota Kinabalu. A white pair of buildings on the shore and a pair of twin sisters on the pond, a wave of stunned, a beautiful and rippling.
I stood on the other side watching them, waiting for the sunset. The good weather of the blue sky and white clouds at the last moment made me feel confident that I can see the glory of the sky today. Unexpectedly, the black cumulon clouds quickly gathered towards the mosque. The light blue sky quickly gloomy. Although the sun was covered by thick clouds, it still barely radiated heat and light, and it slowly landed to find the gap in the cloud. Just let it shine for a moment, the golden glow will immediately dye the white mosque. This is a contest between rain and yang. From another direction, the roar of Raytheon came, and a heavy rain fell on his face. We are busy hiding under the banana tree.
The rain did not fall long and stopped. I looked at the camera in my arms, crept around the pond, and took a look at the mosque. The scenery after the rainstorm is amazing. The red glow spreads across the sky, and a rainbow hangs between the banana tree and a cloud like a ladder leading to heaven. The mosque is a stunning beauty, and the scene behind her becomes gorgeous and strange, but she is standing on the water side. At this moment, the scenery of "the birds fly outside the sun, and the people cross the bridge" is fixed in front of my eyes.
I experienced the time from the beginning of the sunset to the darkening of the sky. The prayer of fainting came from the mosque. The melodious Qur'anic melody echoed in the sky. I looked at the table below, exactly six o'clock.

The most well-known landmark in Kota Kinabalu is the famous floating mosque. Compared to the national mosque in Kuala Lumpur, the size of the Kota Kinabalu Floating Mosque is not large. Of course, it is definitely not allowed to wear too much into the mosque, so the mosque is not around. There are shops that rent long gowns for tourists to take pictures. According to the texture and style of the clothes, the price ranges from 5-15 MYR. If you want to take photos of Meimei, then this link is essential. Like other well-known mosques, its core area is not allowed to enter or take pictures if it is not a true believer. The mosque of this typical Muslim building can see the blue pattern roof and the deep blue sky reflection when the weather is fine. On the surface of the water, it is a beautiful oil painting, quiet and dreamy.

Sabah, Malaysia, is not far from China, and can even be said to be adjacent to China. To the west of Kota Kinabalu (Kota Kinabalu), the capital of Sabah, is the South China Sea. It takes only 3 hours and 40 minutes to fly from AirAsia to Hangzhou. There are two mosques in Kota Kinabalu City, and the Floating Mosque is one of them. The
Floating Mosque is a mosque in Kota Kinabalu because the mosque is built on an artificial lake. When the weather is fine, the reflection of the mosque is clearly visible on the water, and it is called the floating mosque. The mosque has become a tourist attraction and is free to open, but it takes money to rent local traditional clothing to enter the hall.
Islam is the national religion of Malaysia. Most people in the country believe in Islam, so there are many domestic mosques. The Aqua Mosque in Kota Kinabalu is one of the most beautiful mosques and one of the largest mosques, accommodating 12,000 people.
Come here in the afternoon, many local children are playing here, and the open space becomes a football field.
Children dress uniform, are local traditional costumes, three or five groups of chat play.
Seeing strangers, these children are a little shy but still enthusiastic, they do not contradict when taking pictures. Not only in the mosque, but also in the urban market, the locals on the street are also very enthusiastic smiles.

Sabah Floating Mosque, pure and solemn faade, empty chapel.
Women need to wear Muslim clothes and wear a headscarf to enter the tour. Then I pack myself into a pink peach. It is also a very unique experience, because we usually wear beautiful clothes and seldom experience this. Featured local costumes, as well as different colors to choose from.
In the hot season, I really want to know why the local Islamic woman does not sweat, I am going crazy! So hot! !

The Floating Mosque is one of the most beautiful mosques in Malaysia to watch the sunset. A typical Islamic building, where up to 12,000 believers can be accommodated. The mosque is built on the man-made lake in Likas Bay. There are many mosques in Turkey. For the first time, I saw a mosque built on the water and a mosque. Compared to the grandeur, the mosque in Malaysia looks white and delicate.
Although it is a blue sky and white clouds, the water quality of the lake is turbid, which is very affecting the beauty of the photos! After a long period of time, the lake surface was treated slightly. You need to take off your shoes when you go to the mosque to go to the toilet or visit.
Transportation: Take bus line 5A from the bus stop in front of Wawasan Plaza, Kotasan City Department Store, Kota Kinabalu City, head toward UMS, 1.5 MYR/person
