Wildlife Galore! 3 Days in the 1500km² Masai Mara!
Getting There - Masai Mara National Reserve is approximately 5hrs drive from Nairobi. You can drive or take a flight to any of the air strips in the park.
Attractions - Masai Mara National Reserve is 1500km². Given the size of the park, you never have to wait to spot interesting wildlife. The wildlife ranges from the secretary bird, vultures, ostriches, lions, cheetahs, leopards to hippopotamuses.
The chances of finding a pride of lions hunting or feasting are very high.
I was very lucky to have spotted the big 5 of the Mara including the elusive leopard.
Vehicles are equipped with radios which the guides use to communicate with other guides to share locations of wildlife and in case of emergency.
Hotels - There are several options available. I stayed at Mara Legends Camp. They have tents set up with toilets and showers. The team at the camp is very attentive to guest needs.
Food & Restaurants - There is a main restaurant and a bar. At the main restaurant they served western and Indian cuisine during the 3 days I stayed there. The food was delicious and the chef accommodates to any special requests.

You witness a world awakening, herds of elephants, wildebeest and giraffes to name a few. The breathtaking views of this endless landscape will leave everlasting memories with you.
My safari was arranged by Hot Air Africa Eco Adventures. Once the safari is complete, they take you to an amazing breakfast in the Mara.
Getting There - Masai Mara is about a 5hr drive from Lake Nakuru.
Attractions - Endless views and a lot of opportunities to spot wildlife including lions, elephants, giraffes and a lot of varieties of birds.

Unforgettable 3-Day Safari in Maasai Mara🦁
#celebrateit
I went on a 3-day, 2-night tour to Maasai Mara from Nairobi, and let me tell you, it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! The tour was perfect for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and dive into the wild beauty of Kenya.
Driving through the vast savannah in a safari vehicle was amazing. You get to see the landscape in all its glory while keeping an eye out for wildlife. And wow, we were lucky enough to spot so many animals! Lions lounging in the grass, zebras grazing peacefully, giraffes munching on trees, elephants strolling by, and even a herd of buffalo in the distance. It felt like I was living inside a National Geographic documentary.
One of the highlights was visiting a Maasai village. The Maasai people were incredibly welcoming, and learning about their traditions and lifestyle was eye-opening. It’s a great way to connect with the local culture.
The best part? There was no Wi-Fi! It was a total digital detox, allowing me to fully immerse in nature and the moment. It was refreshing to disconnect and just enjoy the raw beauty around me.
Why I recommend this tour:
You get to see a variety of wildlife up close.
It’s a perfect mix of nature and cultural immersion.

The incredible wild life of Masai Mara
A wildlife safari in the Masai Mara is a captivating experience that immerses visitors in the heart of one of Africa’s premier game reserves. Located in southwestern Kenya, the Masai Mara is renowned for its rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes, making it an ideal destination for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers. The cornerstone of any Masai Mara safari is the game drive. Typically conducted twice a day—early morning and late afternoon—these excursions are led by experienced guides who navigate the sprawling savannah in specially designed 4x4 vehicles. The early morning drives offer a chance to witness the park awakening, with predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs becoming active in the cooler temperatures. Late afternoon drives often provide dramatic sightings as animals prepare for the night.
