I'm going to post about places worth visiting in Tokyo Station during my Tokyo travel itinerary ☺️ Tokyo Station is the center of Tokyo transportation, so it's a place you should visit at least once, but there are many things to see and eat, so it's really good to spend half a day👍🏻 1️⃣ Crayon Shin-chan Official Shop 📍 Location : Japan 〒100-0005 Tokyo, Chiyoda City, Marunouchi, 1 Chome−9−1 東京駅1番街C-8-3 ⏰ Business hours : Every day 10:00 AM ~ 8:30 PM The Crayon Shin-chan Official Shop, located on the Character Street on the first floor of Tokyo Station, is a Crayon Shin-chan pop-up store that sells Crayon Shin-chan goods and snacks. It's quite large in size and has various souvenirs such as living products and snacks, so it's a really good Tokyo Station attraction to visit. At the entrance of the Crayon Shin-chan pop-up store, there is a cute V-sign and an excited-looking Crayon Shin-chan sculpture on display. 2️⃣ Ghibli Donguri Republic Tokyo Station 📍 Location : First Avenue Tokyo Station, 1 Chome-9-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda City, Tokyo 100-0005 Japan ⏰ Business hours : Everyday 10:00 AM - 8:30 PM The Donguri Republic Tokyo Station store has a different system from other places in that you can shop with a limited number of people. It seems that this is to allow customers to look around at a leisurely distance, but this method is also really great! It is nice that it is not crowded and you can look around leisurely. #0yentravel I've been to Tokyo Station a few times, but seeing the red brick station building on the Marunouchi side still feels special. The preserved and restored station building has been carefully maintained down to the last detail, and both its classic atmosphere during the day and its illumination at night are beautiful. The station is located in downtown Tokyo near the Imperial Palace. But then the historical Typhoon 7 hit southern Japan with all its fury. On August 16th and August 17th Typhoon 7 passed over and ravaged the Kansai area including Shizuoka, Japan. Shinkansen ("the Bullet Trains") stopped all southern operations. Express trains finally left the Tokyo Station some as over 6 hours behind schedule. Passengers flooded the terminal entry gates, waiting areas, steps leading up to the platforms, and on the platforms as well. I had plans to meet my Shizuoka friends at Mishima Station. Trains finally started running, I got down to Mishima Station to see my friends. We exchanged gifts and 20 minutes later I boarded a northbound, "upward bound" ("nobori") train back to Tokyo Station. The following day the historic delay of the Shinkansen made headline front page newspaper news. I wish to travel to South Korea in 2024
